“Cheryl was great. We felt comfortable from the moment we met her.. she took excellent care of our dogs and provided lots of feedback throughout her stay and pictures, which we always love. we would definitely use her again”

About: I’ve cared for animals of all ages, breeds and personalities. I have experience working with senior pets or pets with disabilities who need medication administered or specialized care. Am also comfortable and capable of working with puppies or dogs of very high energy breeds. My goal is to make sure your pet is safe and well cared for while you are away. I currently work full time as a vet tech but can be available to feed, walk, exercise, potty, and spend time outside your pet before and after work and during my lunch break. I am available most afternoons after 2:30pm and all day Thursdays and Weekends. I offer House Sitting, but please note that I only book them on occasion. If your pet needs to be crated while nobody is home, or has health concerns that require someone to be with someone overnight, I will book them more frequently. I am more than willing to make more stops throughout the day with drop in visits, just please let me know. I also make sure to allow outside time to play to get out some energy. I will care for your pets in your home, reducing any stress of being in an unfamiliar environment. I also have the flexibility to adjust my schedule to fit their needs throughout the day.

“Paul did an awesome job taking care of our elderly dog. It was difficult to leave her with a new dog sitter (our usual sitter got a new job) but after meeting Paul and seeing that Rheyah was immediately comfortable with him, we felt confident that he would take good care of her. Paul made sure that Rheyah took her medicine multiple times per day, fed her a special diet and even gave her a partial bath every other night to treat her chronic skin condition. He also took her for 2 walks per day when the weather permitted. Paul’s frequent photos and descriptions of what he and Rheyah were doing helped to calm my anxiety about leaving her with someone new. Not only did Paul take care of Rheyah, but he also fed my fish and managed to keep my not-so-healthy plants alive! We are very grateful that Paul’s profile came up on Rover and that he agreed to take care of Rheyah so that we could attend our granddaughter’s 1st birthday. We highly recommend Paul to anyone who needs a conscientious caring pet sitter!”

“Faith took excellent care of our fur baby and our home. She sent daily updates with pics giving us peace of mind. We highly recommend her and will definitely book with her again.”

“As first time Rover users, Meghan completely put our worries at ease and took the best care of our fur babies during the weekend of our wedding. I loved getting my picture updates of the pups knowing they were in the comforts of their familiar surroundings being cared for by somebody that knew what they were doing instead of being in a high stress environment. The dogs loved her too! We will 100% be using Meghan again in the future when we go on our honeymoon.”

“Courtney was very sweet and responded quickly to messages. There was a misunderstanding with her work schedule that she would not be in the home for 11 hours. I assumed she would come at lunch to let them out. Never assume - had to call neighbor to let dogs out 2 days as I did not want my dogs left that long without a potty break. Otherwise, all was good.”

“Emma is amazing! I loved that she wanted to meet me and Lacey before she accepted a job. It was important to her that we were all on the same page. I was able to talk about Laceys needs and routine in person, which really made me feel at ease. When the weekend came for her to stay at our house I was completely comfortable leaving Lacey in her care. She gave me updates and pictures which was great. Thank you Emma!!!!”

“I am an anxious cat mom and leaving my babies even for a few days is always rough for me. Finding a trustworthy sitter is VERY important to me and from the moment I met Stephanie I knew she would take excellent care of my babies. She sent me many photos every day and I loved seeing them happy in her care. She treated them like her own and slept with them every night. Stephanie is thoughtful, communicative, responsible and you can tell she has a genuine love of animals. I will 100% book her again for any pet care service. I can’t recommend her enough to take care of your babies because she took exceptional care of mine!!!”

About: Love to walk, run or go on hikes often depending on your request! Happy to assist your pet while you are away and send lots of updates! If visits are needed during the weekend and/or when school is off my three children will likely be joining me to help. I’m available full time, typically start dog runs at 9:00am and love to go on hikes (weather permitting) I am open to any additional pet requests. We have a large grassed yard with access to the lake for swimming and dock jumping. Additionally, daily walks and runs on leash. Lots of extra pet supplies if needed.
About: As far as experience goes there isn’t a time in my life I remember that I wasn’t caring for an animal. From reptiles, to rodents, to cats and dogs, I’ve had them all. From a young age I was taught responsibility and discipline when it came to caring for tiny creatures. Additionally for over two years I volunteered weekly at a local animal shelter. During this time I gained knowledge as to how animals interacted with one another, how to properly administer medication, warning signs to look out for, what to do in emergencies, and deeply studied animal behavior. To add on to that I am currently employed at a doggie daycare. During my time here not only have I gotten to widen my horizons when it came to taking care of animals but I have learned hands on how to bandage a wound, what to do in animal confrontations as well as how to handle the unexpected such as sickness or seizures. Additionally over the last 3 years I have volunteered at different animal welfare programs across the globe. These include Portugal, Puerto Rico, Tanzania and soon Hawaii. During this time I have not only seen hands on other cultures way of taking care of animals but also gained knowledge as to how to better the animal care I provide to clients. As I previously stated I currently am employed at a doggie daycare. Additionally I work at a bakery as well. My schedule changes weekly so it can be hard to give an exact time frame when booking. Typically I work up to 8 hour shifts. I typically prefer to stay in clients homes to keep their pets safe and happy in their own environment. I will be there in the morning before work, and will immediately come back when I get off as well as being there at night. I try to spend as much time as possible with the pets while you are away I typically only offer staying in the clients home and I am comfortable crating animals while gone. I always keep things like medications safely out of reach and secured. Additionally upon booking I typically ask about any health notes, allergies, or special needs as well as a good contact number for your vet in case of emergency.
“Grace is 100% reliable and great at communication. My pups adore her and she adores them back. Recently completed a 10 day business trip out of the country and she was amazing. Highly recommend d.”

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life. I currently have a cocker spaniel who is my whole world. I have trained him myself and love him like a child. I walked dogs for my hometown humane society growing up and will be happy to continue dog centered work for my West Bend and surrounding areas community! I work part time serving so mornings and all days mondays and tuesdays I am available! I love being outside and getting my steps in and have plenty of time to set aside for walking my furry friends! I believe playing with the pups is very important. I love playing fetch, training, and cuddling. I love trying new mind stimulating games for pups as well!
“Heather was so sweet and understood our animals are our family. She sent pictures throughout her stay which really put my mind at ease. We will book Heather again for the future!!”

“Allison took wonderful care of our fur babies (and our home). We appreciated the frequent pictures/videos, since we missed our boys something terribly. Our cats are usually scaredy cats, and hide from strangers. Allison bonded with them quickly and they were comfortable with her around. One of our cats require daily medication, and Allison was such a pro, making sure he was well cared for. We truly appreciate her care and support of our family and home. Would highly recommend.”

About: I have taken care of my neighbors dogs when they were away for years now and I am very trustworthy and responsible with every thing I do. I am working part time during the week and I have weekends mostly free so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your dogs! I have a giant yard and a little puppy that your dogs can play and run around with! I live on a quiet street with an electric fence to insure safety.

About: I have a passion for animals and the time to care for your fur baby! I especially love dog walking and doggy playtime, and can match your dog's energy!! I am currently unemployed, so I am very flexible with how I might fit pet care into my routine!! Weekdays work better for me, but I could swing weekends as well! I am able to come to your home and care for your pet in their usual environment. I will be respectful of a client's space, and will follow the routines the pet is typically used to.
“Rayanna was great !! She did such an amazing job with my dogs. We will definitely book her again. Ellie is a little high maintenance and Rayanna knew exactly how to handle her !! We felt such relief knowing we can trust someone in our home and with our doggies !!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,076 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Slinger. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Slinger walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Slinger maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Slinger choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Slinger. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
