Hi! My name is Stephanie, and I'm able to provide pet care part time in the NYC area in your own home. I've been a dog owner for my entire life, have had several cats, two wonderful beagles, and many tropical/freshwater fish. Before applying to this service, I regularly cared for 6 different dogs while their owners were at work, on vacation, etc. I'm located in Astoria right across the street from Astoria park, and I'm more than happy to get to where you live. I definitely don't scare easily and I'm happy to bathe your pet, brush them, play with them and keep them company while you're away. I can't wait to hear from you and your furry friends! Steph always has been and always will be a dog and over all animal lover at heart. She's watched my family dog on a number of occasions and has always mentioned what an angel she is, which is certainly something we dont see when we watch her. She apparently just brings out the best in the animals she watches! There aren't a lot of people I would trust with watching my dog, but Steph is always the first in my mind especially if they need to be a long term stay of a week or more.

How I care for each pet will really differ from client to client. The most important thing to me is making sure the pet that I'm watching is my absolute priority while I'm with them. As someone who grew up with dogs, I totally get it - they're our babies! I'm extremely open to learning about their routine and needs throughout the day, but rest assured that they get lots of love and attention while they're away from their parents.

I don't have any breed preferences - all dogs welcome! I'd of course love to know if your dog is triggered by anything that makes them anxious or scared, or any other quirks that would make our experience easier and more seamless.
A typical day
I'm located in Astoria, and we have two wonderful dog runs at Astoria Park (right across the street). When we're not outdoors, they're more than welcome to curl up on the couch with me and binge some episodes of Dug Days with their favorite toy/blanket/whatever you'd like to bring with them. If they're extra good boys (and if it's alright with you!), there might even be a treat in it for them!

I work completely freelance so my schedule is extremely flexible. Because I work from home on my computer, I can time my tasks appropriately around your pet when they're here.
