Jillayna is exactly what someone would want when leaving their pet in someone else’s care. She did drop in visits with our cat for a few days and it went super well. She sent us daily updates and super detailed cards with everything she did while here. Her level of communication was amazing and so appreciated.

Jillayna has watched our cats twice. The cats aren’t exactly welcoming and Jillayna is great at giving them space and letting them slowly accept her presence. The cats also require medicine and she has been successful at getting them to take the medicine hidden in treats. We really appreciate Jillayna!

This is going to be a long review, but if you truly want to understand what kind of nanny Jill is, keep reading. We have a not-so-senior but definitely senior dog named Cairo. He’s eight years old, very well-trained, and incredibly well-behaved. Jill has cared for him on multiple occasions already. As dogs get older, sometimes the things that used to work for them suddenly stop working — and that’s exactly what happened with our Cairo. We left for a 12-day trip and, as always, left Cairo in Jill’s care with written instructions and his usual schedule. Everything was great for the first few days. But on the third night, we checked in on Cairo through our home cameras — and to our horror, he was howling and crying. This was absolutely out of character for him. Cairo has never done this before. We’re very attentive to him even when we’re away, and our plans, schedules, and instructions have always worked perfectly. So seeing him in such distress was shocking. It was 3:00 AM our time, and we immediately called Jill — horrified and panicked. It was about 6:00 PM in Washington, and Jill had just finished one of her drop-ins at our house. We explained what we saw and asked if she could please take Cairo home with her, because for us, this was an emergency. Cairo was clearly sad and anxious, and we couldn’t bear that. Jill didn’t hesitate for a second — she literally dropped everything and took Cairo home with her. She completely rearranged her plans and schedule for Cairo’s sake — and for our peace of mind. Over the following week, she updated us constantly, several times a day, always keeping us in the loop. I was deeply distressed because in eight years of his life, I had never heard Cairo howling and crying like that. We’ve done this exact arrangement so many times before, and it had always worked — until this time, when suddenly it didn’t. But Jill came to the rescue immediately. I can’t express how thankful I am for her care and compassion. She was so patient with Cairo while he stayed at her house. He quickly learned her rules, she helped calm him down, and by the time we returned, he was completely back to normal. We also took Cairo to the vet afterward to rule out any physical pain, and thankfully, he’s 100% healthy. It turns out that Cairo’s needs are now more emotional as he gets older. I’ve continued to talk with Jill about this, and she has been completely responsive, understanding, and eager to work with us through this new “senior era.” We will definitely continue boarding Cairo with her. If you’re looking for someone who will truly drop everything for your pet and care for them as if they were her own, Jill is that person. She’s a true gem. And please — make sure to tip her what she deserves, because she goes above and beyond!

Jillayna is great. Responsible, dependable, and my cat Loki loved her. She even got my little Gracie Lou, who runs and hides from everyone, to warm up to her. Huge success! Definitely will ask her to look after them again.

Jillayna did a great job dropping in on my dog this weekend. My dog is suspicious of strangers and barks and she handled that with aplomb, offering treats at the first meeting to gain her trust. Then when she barked during the drop in she offered a few treats again to remind her who she was and then they were best buds. She also handled an issue with my door lock with grace and patience.
