I couldn’t rate my own experience with Daniel high enough. You can truly see that he loves animals and I have no doubts that Lily was throughly cared for. Daniel went above and beyond to ensure Lily was kept cool and comfortable on one of the hottest days of the year so far. But still ensuring to strike the balance between making sure she was entertained and that her needs were met. On first contact Daniel was quick to respond and took the time to listen to our needs and was very happy to accommodate. We organised a meet and greet where Daniel asked all the right questions to ascertain how to best care for Lily. He was great with Lily and sent me regular updates and photos which put me at ease. I will 100% use Daniel again and Lily is very much looking forward to her next stay 😊 hopefully a cooler one next time!

Dan Clearly loves dogs. We had a one off day care for my two dogs whilst passing through on a work trip. He prioritised their safety and well being especially not meeting them previously. He sent updates during the day. Thanks Dan

Amazing, so friendly and made me feel so comfortable leaving Sonny in his care. Took him for a lovely walk and even sit some training with his hate for cats, managing to be in a home with them. Will be using again

He took the time to do a meet and greet beforehand, which I really appreciated. Ash remembered him and seemed to be really happy to see him when he took her for walks. In terms of interaction with her and friendliness, I'd definitely say 5 stars. However, we did warn him about throwing the ball in the river and asked him not to do that. Unfortunately, he did throw the ball too far, she wasn't able to get it, and it was lost (which he did offer to pay for a replacement.

Worst experience ever! We had our Schengen visa appointment in Manchester today, so we dropped off our two Shih Tzus early in the morning at 6 AM with this boarder. Our dogs are usually very friendly. However, he didn’t smile or even attempt to interact with them when we handed them over—he seemed completely disinterested and unaffectionate. Just 2–3 hours into our journey, he called to say that one of the dogs was peeing, pooping indoors, and feeling sick. I have no idea why my dog behaved like that—this is very unlike them. Instead of managing the situation calmly, he began pressuring me to come and collect them immediately. I started panicking and reassured him that they would settle down, but he wouldn’t listen. Eventually, I had to cancel our visa appointment and rush back to pick them up. To make matters worse, he charged an extra £40–£50 for cleaning up the vomit. My dogs were absolutely fine once they were back with me. Such a terrible day—completely ruined by someone who clearly has no compassion for animals.

Dan looked after our dog Jester for a couple of days and a night whilst we were at a wedding in the area. Our doggy came back happy and content, and had been well looked after by Dan. Dan also managed Jester well around his cats and apparently there were no issues. Thanks!

Daniel has been caring for our dogs for some time now and we feel confident that we can leave both of them in a safe pair of hands. Lulu wasn’t too well while she was with him and he took extra care of her. So grateful to have the support when it’s needed. Thank you.

Daniel responded to my request in a minute and visited promptly. I reached out to Daniel to help me find my cat which had been missing for 4 days while I was away on vacation. Daniel spoke to me in a comforting and compassionate way, assuring and ensuring that I found my cat. He checked in on me to ensure that the cat and I were doing well. I am so happy to have found a sitter like Daniel.

Paddy enjoyed his stay with Daniel. He was fit and well. Just as he was when Daniel took good care of him for a longer stay last time. Will be booking with Daniel again soon. Sheila

After not being able to get in with our usual sitter I found Daniel on Rover. I sent an enquiry for the dates and he contacted me back almost immediately ringing me through the app to discuss our dog’s needs. He immediately put me at ease as Tia needs to trust people before she will accept them. We did a trial meet and greet a few days later and he was fantastic with her, calm (as she does bark at males), very interested in what Tias needs and routines are and how would we like him to manage her routine to make it as familiar as possible. He gave regular feedback through the week with calls and photos and was very accommodating to pick up times on our return. I’ve got to say our girl has made a friend for life with Daniel and we will definitely be using his services again. Thank you for making her stay so lovely and taking away any stress or anxiety we had when leaving her with someone new. Thank you ☺️

Dan was great with Mylo! He's clearly very knowledgeable about dogs and gave us some really great advice and tips to improve Mylo's problem areas. He was communicative and sent updates throughout the booking. Will be using him again!

Dan house-sat for our dog, Caspie, for 5 days, but we were quite disappointed with the service overall. Despite providing Dan with detailed instructions and repeatedly warning him to be careful when opening doors due to Caspie's tendency to run away, multiple neighbors had to help Dan chase Caspie around the neighborhood. We also requested frequent updates and pictures since Caspie becomes anxious when we're not around, but Dan needed frequent prompting to share any information. One day, we were only informed at 7 PM that Caspie hadn't eaten all day, with his breakfast still untouched in his bowl. Additionally, our house was not well taken care of. When we returned after five days, the sink was full of dirty dishes and cups, and the house reeked of pee. We had warned Dan that Caspie might have accidents inside due to anxiety, but we expected him to clean up after these incidents. Instead, there were puddles of pee left for days, contributing to the unpleasant odor. While we were relieved that Caspie was okay when we got back, we were very unhappy with Dan's service. This experience was surprising given the positive reviews on his profile, but we will not be using Dan's services again. It was a disappointing and stressful experience for us as pet owners.
