“Words cannot express how thankful my family and I are to Deb. We had booked with a previous sitter who canceled on us last minute, and we could not change our vacation plans. I sent a message to Deb requesting care for our puppy, she responded within minutes was able to accept our last minute booking. She went to our home, packed up our dog, all his favorite toys, belongings and brought him to her home. She sent us updates and pictures throughout the day, took him on, walks, spoiled him, and loved him like he was her own. Our family was able to enjoy our vacation knowing that our dog was being well taken care of by such a loving sitter. I cannot recommend Deb enough! Thank you, Deb!!”

About: I grew up with cats (5 to be exact) and a dog. Since that time, I have lived with a dog for the past two year. I have been cat and dog sitting for three years in Durango and in my previous home in Salt Lake City. I love most animals and have a lot of patience and love! I work remotely 9-5 from Monday-Thursday, so I can be home with your pet all day! I can walk them before and after work, and let them out to use the bathroom anytime during the day. My only requirement is a quiet space to work and good internet. I will be patient and loving with your pet. I know it takes time for pets to warm up to new people. I am good at approaching animals slowly and calmly so that they feel safe with me!

About: Hello! I live near Purgatory Ski Resort and work in town. I have a hybrid 4/day work schedule. I am very flexible and can come to your house or they can stay at mine. I love dogs and getting them out and about. I love taking fur babies on adventures downtown or up in the mountains :) I am currently working a hybrid office job which is very flexible. My days off are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and I work from home Tuesdays and Thursdays. I would plan to take them out for the day to get your pup some exercise. I don’t have a yard but I have a nice neighborhood to walk in.

“Wren was great. I had problem with my previous sitter and had to book last minute and Wren was quick to respond and happy to help. She communicated well and made sure my dogs were happy.”

About: Hello fellow dog lovers! With over 20 years of experience owning and caring for dogs, I understand the deep bond between humans and their furry companions. I’ve recently moved to Silverton and, though I cannot host pets in my rental, I’d love to take your dog for a walk or house sit where they feel most comfortable- your home! I work from home, which allows me the flexibility to provide care both during and outside of regular business hours. Whether it’s a midday walk, evening playtime or weekend adventure, I’m here to ensure your dog receives the attention, love and exercise they deserve. If you book me for pet sitting in your home, you can feel at ease knowing that I will respect your space and make it a goal of mine to leave your space as clean (or cleaner!) than how I arrived. Let’s connect and discuss how I can offer your dog the right care and attention to make you feel comfortable when you can’t be with them. I look forward to meeting you and your pups! I work from home and have a fairly flexible schedule! I can provide pet services within or outside of regular business hours- let’s discuss your pets needs and I can likely fit them in to my schedule, no problem! I love clients who offer detailed lists of their pets needs and daily routines! I used to do the same with my dog and know that following something like this gives everyone involved (dogs included!) ease of mind.

About: Hiking, walking, training, playing, or cuddling - no problem! I work remotely so when your pup is under my care, they're with me 100% of the time! No errands or work to juggle. Plus, my pups are awesome playmates! I work remotely so my pet care is simple, I'm with the pups all day and all night. Potty times are frequent, daily walkabouts are necessary, playtime is alternated with my professional computer time, meal time is morning and night, and bed time is sunset. I am able to make myself at home anywhere, very easily. So my home routine is the same wherever I go. Of course, client preferences may alter this routine.

“First of all, Sierra was available on Thanksgiving on about a week's notice. I was so grateful. Second, my dog Hobbes was extremely anxious when Sierra arrived. But she didn't bail out of the visit! She called me, described the situation, & we worked out a way for Sierra to feel safe & also get the visit accomplished. I know Hobbes is a handful when he gets worked up - I appreciate that Sierra hung in there & got my doggos the potty break they needed, as well as the dog chow they wanted.”

About: Hi! I’m Rubie. I am a huge animal lover and have owned and taken care of both cats and dogs all of my life. My priority is the safety and comfort of your pet while I’m taking care of them. I work part time elsewhere, however when I’m taking care of your pet it will be on a day where I can dedicate my full time to walking, watching, and playing with them. Depending on your pets needs we can explore the mountains, or stay safely inside my private home. Overnight the pet is likely to stay in my spacious room.

About: I’ve taken care of every sort of critter since I was a little kid and have always been passionate about making animals a part of my life. This includes puppies, dogs with disabilities, blind cats, animals needing medication, and lots of animals with big personalities-I even have one my self (Australian blue healer). I have volunteered all over the country at different shelters while traveling and have worked for shelters and animal ranches. You could say I know a thing or two about animals. My dogs are essentially my kids and come on almost every adventure with me. With clients, I treat their dog exactly how I expect others to treat my furry ones when I’m out of town. If there is anything special that you’d like to let me know, then I am all ears. I spend most of my free time rock climbing and adventuring outdoors. I also love to read and paint, so if your dog isn’t as active, I will certainly lounge around with them :) All of my pets get better care than I think most dogs ever get and your dog will be treated just the same! “Emily watched my dog Walnut for two weeks while I was traveling. There's nobody I trust more to make sure he has the most reliable and loving care. She works a consistent schedule and spends lots of time out exploring the outdoors, which made her a great companion for my pup. He got long walks and lots of cuddles, and he's still obsessed with her. She's the first person I'll call next time I go out of town!”

“Sammy has cared for many dogs (and lizards, etc) in her life and I know she will care for yours like her own! I watched her take care of her own sweet pup with love and dedication even as she required increasing care in her old age. Sammy will handle caring for your pet with the same practical, playful compassion!”

Megan T.
“Megan is a dog lover and will spoil your pet in all the best ways. She and her shitzu JoJo have the best adventures, love getting outside to play, and also make time for naps and leisure. Megan is great at working with dogs and has trained both of the pups she's owned to do tricks and be well-behaved. She will make sure your pup gets all the cuddles and play time they could want and will do it with lots of love and gentleness. If you're looking for someone who will be the right fit for your dog while you're away, look no further. Megan and JoJo are it.”

Felicia J.
“Our family has had a close relationship with Felicia for close to seven years and she has helped us in the care of our three miniature Dachshunds (and a few cats along the way) on numerous occasions. She has a far better-than-average sense of the balance between giving clear direction or instruction and being sensitive to all three of our dog's nervy-sensitive constitutions. I wholeheartedly recommend Felicia in the care of your pets.”

“Thank you so much for checking on Freddie and Bailey today.”

“I highly recommend Caleb as a dog sitter! I have observed his loving care, compassion, and nurturing of his own pets that give credence to his ability and accountability for them. Caleb has also previously cared for several adopted pets who have responded exceptionally well to his kind and gentle care. And, I have observed Caleb to be both committed to and trustworthy in his work.”

Alaina S.
“Alaina is my go to pet caregiver. I have a three legged disabled dog who needs lots of extra care and attention. Alaina has always shown up with smile and ready to help. I appreciate her love and care for my girl, wouldn’t recommend anyone else!”

Jon M.
“Jon Michael J McCroskey is one of the upmost standing citizens of the valley I know. He is an expert forager, master bartender and a sensei of animal husbandry. I once thought that lizards were mentally incapable of showing and expressing emotion. Through the work of Mr. McCroskey, I have realized that lizards are only somewhat mentally incapable of showing and expressing emotion. Jon's lizard Muddy Joe Dirt Waters has shown me that anything is possible with love and some meal worms.”
