“Jessica did an outstanding job with my pets! She followed all my instructions and my house was in a pristine condition when I returned. Jessica was easy to communicate with, responsive, and accommodating to my meet & greet request. I will definitely use Jessica again.”

“Excellent sitter for my 8 year old and 2 1 year old Rottweiler puppies. Mya is a loving and compassionate person. She followed my special instructions to the tee and was especially great with my youngest puppy with epilepsy as one of the 7 dogs in her own household also has epilepsy. I couldn't have asked for a better person than Mya for my last minute booking while I had surgery. Will definitely use her repeatedly! Highly recommend.”

“Martie was amazing! It was our first time being away so long and having someone house sit and care for our elderly dog and energetic cat. We received so many pictures, and so many good ones! She put our mind at ease. And she was so responsive with communication. Should we need this service again there is no doubt we would want her!”

I have dogs of my own and I always make sure that they are loved and cared for I currently work as a receptionist part time, so I’m free anytime to love, play, and take care of your pets whenever it’s necessary for you! At my home we have an electric fence, but we also have leashes for our dogs and others friends incase we have company over there
“Pamela was great! She was responsive via text and left the house in perfect shape. We felt reassured knowing our pups were in good hands while we were away for a whole week!”

About: I’ve been known through my family and friends as a “dog whisperer”, and have had dogs in my care all my life! I’ve owned and taken care of my own senior dog for years, and am currently working with my new puppy. I have detailed experience with elderly dogs and dogs with medical needs. I can administer medications involving needles, and fulfill special food requests. Currently, I am a university student and I have a small part time job. However, I miss working with animals and my class schedule tends to be very flexible! In caring for a pet at your home, I treat it as if it was my own. I always emphasize to follow directions perfectly, and to treat your things with respect.
About: I have hands on, everyday experience caring for four Golden Retrievers of my own. Managing a multi dog household has given me skills in canine schedule structure, supervision, and understanding of different personalities and energy levels. I also have experience caring for infant puppies, including feeding schedules, potty training foundations, crate introduction, and the patience that can sometimes be needed during those important early development stages. I’m comfortable maintaining routines, reinforcing basic training, and providing both high-energy play and calm, attentive care. Your pet will be treated like part of my family: safe, loved, and well cared for! I work remotely full time, so I am very flexible and am able to meet you and your schedule requests, whether it be for in-home visits, walk outing, or overnight stays. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow all feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise routines, and any specific instructions closely to make sure your pet feels comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, and affection while also reinforcing any training or household rules you have in place. I’m respectful of your home, keep everything clean and organized, and always send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.
“Mary was fantastic! Our dog, Ella, got plenty of walks and play. Our home was well kept, mail was stacked neatly on the counter and we came home to a calm, happy dog. We would definitely use Mary again!”

About: I am an experienced house sitter, and I love helping animals feel safe and comfortable! I have a lot of energy to give to pets that need it. I was on a multi-month hiking trip, but had to come home early due for personal reasons. That leaves me with extra vacation time at home, and I would love to share that time with your pets! I am very detail-oriented, so I will make sure I follow instructions and schedules accurately. I respect the privacy of homeowners, and will gladly communicate with the client as much as desired.
“This was our first time using Rover, and Emma made us feel at ease with our meet and greet, and overall process. She was reliable, our dogs seemed to love her, and she was very communicative. We will definitely try and book her again in the future. Thank you, Emma!”

About: We have fun with our toys, playing catch, chasing eachother, they go along with the diet you have in place and we always show them praise when they do good! I’m a stay at home mom, with two kids and two dogs! It’s a loving, caring and fun environment! I have more than enough time to care and love your furry loved one! I have two fur babies here with me, one medium one large but both friendly and easy to play with, I can kennel either one of them up at any time if need be!
About: Hey y'all! I'm a looooong time fur mom and lover of all animals. We have a 3 goofy rescues Innu, Brodie Lee and lil sis Alora, but we want to help 'em make more friends! They are SUPER dog friendly and so are we. We take them on walks through our neighborhood and local parks which can lead to off path walking, so I may have to give a bath to your fur babies. We live in a hard wood floor house so accidents are no sweat to us! Our home is well kept and very animal friendly. I've worked in shelters, rescues, and have had many rehabilitated and injured fur babies throughout my life. My kids are my helpers as they are ready for new dogs with different levels of activities and have learned basic training methods from following me. We're here to be the safest and BEST sitters in the metro! I work remotely from my office which looks out into the back yard and allots me a great deal of time to really bond and have a good time sitting others pups! With all to do in the city I just know your pups will enjoy us as much as ours do. I have a oddly terrained fenced yard with a flat patio and tons of shady spots for the dogs to lounge for as long as they please (weather permitting). I leave a big ole' water bowl out there as well - holds 2 gallons and I fill it every day at the beginning and throughout the day.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,188 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sibley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sibley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sibley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sibley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sibley. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
