“Brooke did an excellent job following the instructions left for her and took some good photos with each visit. I appreciated the written updates as well. My cats also took to Brooke immediately and seemed to appreciate daily social time with her. I will definitely look to hire Brooke again in the future.”

“They were awesome! Our poor dog was stressed out over the 4th of July holiday and they went above and beyond to make continuous check ins to ensure our pup was doing good. Would recommend 10/10 times.”

“Jeralee did an outstanding job with our puppies. She was very professional with us two leggers and very sweet with the important four leggers. We asked very last minute for a sitter, and she was on it. I would ask for her in the Shelly, Idaho Falls area any time. Thank you Jaralee.”
“Amanda did a wonderful job taking care of our big dogs! She was flexible with me when my travel plans changed, and treated my precious puppos with sweetness and love. She was always punctual with her scheduled visits, and I loved the pictures in my Rover card after each visit. Highly recommended! We will definitely use her help again.”

“Elizabeth drove through the snow each day for a week to get to our little farm where she thoughtfully cared for our chickens, house cats and barn cats. She sent photos everyday and provided my cats with plenty of attention during her drop-ins. I highly recommend Elizabeth as a pet care specialist and intend to book her services again soon.”

I am comfortable will all breeds, Please however Inform me if your pet shows signs or aggression. The more informed I am the better for all of us. I look forward to you and your furry family member!
“Jennifer was fantastic with our anxious dog over a five day period! I could tell in the photo updates that she got along great with our dog and cat, and while on vacation that was the best feeling ever. Did not have a single issue with her at all and her communication was amazing. Definitely will be booking her in the future!”

“I had a great experience with Jenna taking care of my two kitties! She's very flexible and came to meet the cats before the visit. She took excellent care of them, and my little one had much fun with her. She sent us photos and updates after every drop-in, making us comfortable. I highly recommend her.”

About: I've grown up around two cats (short hair male and long hair female), birds (parakeets), and leopard geckos (one male one female). I have dogsat a variety of sizes (including a female husky) and did some dog walking a few years ago (a pit bull female) I currently work less than full time and go to college less than full time so I have a fairly open and flexible schedule, to make it slightly easier with planning I work I would be available everyday besides Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am flexible in availability and can follow any special instructions you may have about your pets specific needs, even weird quirky routines they may have! I am very adaptable and more than willing to stay with you pets or animals at your home or just drop in and check on them when needed!
About: I have been taking care of pets since I was a kid, we've had everything from dogs and cats to guinea pigs and iguanas! And within all of that ive worked with elderly animals (mostly cats and dogs), including helping clean them and helping them use the restroom, and I've worked with all the baby animals too! I've helped with leash training, litter box training, learning how to play with toys and even crate training! I absolutely love animals and have always had a special bond with them. As a dad to 5 kiddos, 1 dog and 1 cat I know just how important the fury kids are! Looking forward to helping out with your pets and treating them like part of the family! I have 5 kiddos so we are always running around somewhere, but I would love my kids and your pets to be my full time job! Right now I work part time in a preschool but I would like a schedule that is a little bit more flexible so I have more time to spend with my family! All that to say my schedule is incredibly flexible at the moment so I'm ready to jump in! I have a fenced yard and 1 dog who is beyond friendly. She does amazing with other dogs and cats, she has never been aggressive towards animals or people and she loves to play! We keep a puppy gate at the end of the hallway so the pets stay in the main part of the house and so the kiddos can keep their bedrooms as their own space. We free feed and water Molly (our dog) but also have experience feeding on a schedule! Molly has some problems with her ears getting sore so we are very careful to clean her ears daily, I also have experience giving animals medications so I feel comfortable helping with things like that as well. Molly does sleep in an extra large crate at bed time (with her super fluffy puppy bed inside) but if I were to animal sit in our home I'm happy to care for them however you prefer! Mom and dad know their pets best!

If my prices do not meet your needs please send a request and I’m more than willing to negotiate to help ensure your pet has a safe place. I am available anytime. I’m just a stay at home mom looking for some extra fun things to do. Your pets are welcome to come over and hang out at my house or even stay the night. My dog is extremely friendly and loves having friends or I can hang out with your pet solo! I have plenty of space to crate your dog if need be. My dog is extremely friendly and loves making friends or playing fetch with them.
“Jessica was great!! My cat Charlie had oral surgery the day before I had to go out of town, and she was totally willing to give her her antibiotics, even though Charlie was a little grumpy about it. Absolutely wonderful sitter!!!”

“Sariah was amazing! I was no nervous about leaving my critters for the week and she was SO understanding. she was patient with my nervous pup and even took care of my axolotls (which decided to start laying eggs the day I left on my trip ?♀️). She was amazing and just rolled with the punches the whole time. Sariah is definitely my go-to for pet sitting!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
