About: I'm 50 years old, and have mostly owned pit bull breed dogs, but I love all breeds. From 2010 to 2018, my APBT was trained as a therapy animal, we did hospital visits and library events with children. I taught him several tricks, such as left, right, speak, play dead. My current pit is a rescue and I am off leash training. Dog Walking: I work in the Kankakee area, so coming to walk your dog in Kankakee, Bradley, Bourbonnais, is NO problem! Either in the mornings (after 7am) and/or later in the evenings (8ish pm) it's all negotiable. I live in Iroquois county, so I have more availability to walk your dog if you are in that area. Pet Sitting: I can come to sit in your home, if that is preferred. I am also available to just come let them outside, spend time and play, feed, water, clean up. Boarding: I would love to open our home to your precious babies. Non smoking, fenced in yard, lots of walks in my small town. My dog friendly pup can't wait to play tag around the dining room table. All pets are welcome on the couches and have full access to the entire 1st floor, including the bed in the spare room. My husband and I work different shifts, so someone is usually always home. A maximum of 3 to 4 hours of an occasional overlap in shifts. I am able to crate your pet if preferred, or close off access to half of the living space. Before boarding, a few meet and greets are necessary. More details as we move forward. Cats: I will help with your cats, spending time, play, feed, clean litter boxes. I also have several years of experience with birds. I know how important socializing is to birds, and leaving them alone can cause problems and stress. Boarding of cats and birds can be discussed. As I'm nearing retirement from the Healthcare field, I would like to do more of what I love, which is caring for and spending time with animals. As far as boarding your dog, my husband and I work different shifts, so someone is always home. A fully fenced back yard and good sniffer walks in my small town. Your dog is welcome on the couches and downstairs bed. Access to entire 1st floor. I can also crate if preferred. Baths and nail trims are no problem! I have a 60lb staffordshire terrier who loves all kids, people and dogs. It's playtime almost 24/7! Unless it's nap time and he's professional at that also!

About: I have experience with a variety of breeds of dogs. I have owned dogs that are super high maintenance, dogs that love to lounge, anxiety ridden dogs, and dogs that are on the spicy side. I understand the different cues of dogs and how to read their body language. I have experience in walking multiple dogs. I also have experience in training dogs. I trained my Shetland Sheepdog for 4H and we made it to the state fair. I also taught him many silly tricks. I can be a professional fetch player or a professional cuddler, whichever your dog prefers. I can also just be a treat giver if your dog prefers space. About: I have experience caring for a variety of pets with different needs and routines. I have taken care of a 1-year-old cat along with 3 other adult cats, including a cat who required at least 30 minutes of playtime and interaction every day. I have also cared for a large dog who ate home-cooked soup mixed with his food at specific feeding times, as well as a husky who stayed in an air-conditioned dog house unit and required daily vitamins and attentive care. I am good at following direction for the desired care you and your pet need. I work remotely and any activities I plan I would plan around a schedule if at all with the pet in mind. I will plan in advance for the openings I have in my schedule to permit me to be with the pet. I typically stay in the pets home to create a less stressful environment for the pet and go about its daily routine as instructed by the pet owner. I will stay as long as required by the pet owner or stay in a guest bedroom all day depending on what makes the pet owner most comfortable with.
