Nicole was so welcoming and knowledgeable! After our meet and greet, I knew instantly our dog was going to be in amazing hands and be loved more than any boarding dog kennel. She asked all the right questions about how to best take care of our dog and gave us updates throughout the stay on how he was doing. Very fast on communicating back to us on anything. We love knowing that we have someone like her to be able to take care of our pup!

About: I have never been without an animal in my life. I know the anxiety of leaving my babies and now as a retired teacher I can provide that same comfort to your baby if you need to leave them. I am a retired teacher and live on an acreage. I am home most of the time and spend a lot of time outside. I do have cats that are good with dogs - if the dogs are good with cats. I have a young energetic mutt mix that looks like a mix of Yorkshire and Rat Terrier. He is friendly to all humans and animals. I have 4 acres of invisible fence. I can train almost any dog to learn the boundaries. Or I can keep your dog on a long leash when we go outside. We have no kids and have quite a relaxed home.

Savanna & Bryan did an excellent job watching my pup, Kiba. The house pets were friendly and got along with Kiba well. The fenced yard worked good as Kiba slept in the truck on the way home, rather then be excitedly moving around. Communication and pictures were perfect. They worked with me on my erratic schedule. I highly recommend the services of Savanna & Bryan! I will definitely be a return customer!

Madison and her family were great with Thor. Will gladly book again in the future. She was worried about his non eating- as he does when I'm not around. I received great photo updates on him. She seemed to understand Thor and his personality. Thank you again:-)

5/5 🤩 Nansy is awesome! Very nice person and accommodating, helping us out in a pinch when our usual sitters fell thru. Our senior pupper needs special care, so it was a true relief when we met with Nansy and she asked a lot of questions, going the extra mile to make sure our pup had a comfortable stay. Would definitely book her again if needed. Thank you Nansy!!

Susan was absolutely amazing from start to finish! I never used Rovee before so I was really cautious and overall pretty scared but Susan assured me she'd take great care of Char while I was traveling. I received pictures and videos daily of char as well as text updates. In the videos alone I could tell my dog was not only happy but he felt safe and loved. I would highly recommend Susan!

About: I have babysat or taken care of dogs/animals ever since I was a child. To this day I will take in pets that are hurt or homeless until they are rehabilitated or find a good home. I have experience with all ages and stages of canine. Experience training dogs, nurturing them back to health, birthing, caring for seniors and special needs, bottle feeding babies, and much more. Let me know what your special needs are! I homestead and care for livestock on our farm. I have a pretty open availability. My largest chores here are completed early morning and late evening, giving me opportune time to be available during the days for checking in on, playing with and feeding, walking or housing your pup. I do not crate animals unless specified by owner. They will hang out with my family and I like they are our own if they are staying with us. I will follow and respect your rules for your pet in your homes and mine. We can work together with any special needs. I have an incredibly flexible schedule which allows me plenty of time for drop-in visits, doggie day sitting or to go on walks with your incredible pup. I will follow and abide by the rules you have in your home for pup. During our meet and greet we will go over all expectations, needs and rules for your doggie.

Nicole and her family made Ranch a part of their family from the moment we dropped him off. I appreciated the attention and care they gave him and the updates Nicole shared throughout his stay. I would highly recommend Nicole for any dog owner looking for a safe boarding place for their pets.

Nicole and her family took great care of our dogs for 9 days. This was the first time we had left them with a sitter and we were extremely nervous. She sent pictures and videos to keep us updated- which we appreciated as it helped us feel confident that they were in good hands. Our dogs both seemed comfortable and very happy! Nicole was easy to work with and I highly recommend her.

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in IA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
