“Robert continues to be an exceptional sitter, and this visit was a perfect example of why we trust him with our pets. What could have been a very stressful stay included both a dog escape and a cat scratch, yet Robert handled everything calmly, professionally, and with grace. His communication throughout the entire situation was outstanding. He kept us informed, acted quickly when our dog made an unexpected adventure out of the yard, and managed the challenges without ever making us feel panicked. He was transparent, responsible, and focused on keeping everyone safe. Things don’t always go according to plan when caring for animals, and it’s during those moments that a sitter’s character really shows. Robert demonstrated exactly the kind of judgment, reliability, and dedication we look for. We’re grateful for the care he provided and wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again.”
“Bradley was so great with our dogs! He took time to meet them, which was important, because Max isn’t good with strangers. He was kind to Apollo, who is old. We will definitely ask him to come again!”

About: As a proud pet parent to my 2-year-old teacup Yorkie, Hailey, I understand that pets are so much more than animals—they’re family. I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member, and I treat every pet in my care with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, lots of playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply having a calm, comforting companion while you’re away, I’m committed to making them feel safe, happy, and loved. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate care that gives you complete peace of mind, knowing your pet is in caring hands until you’re back home. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable care throughout the week. While I work a rotating schedule, I plan my calendar well in advance, allowing me to commit only to bookings that I know I can fully dedicate my time and attention to. About: I’ve had my own 3 dogs for the last 6 years. Before that, I would take care of my friends animals. I often dog sit and cat sit for close friends and family. Figured I would do it on here, too! I have trained all of my dogs, nothing crazy. Just the basics. One of my dogs does have health issues and another has really bad allergies so I definitely know what it’s like to have a certain routine per animal. All my animals needs are different and I’m here to provide that to lessen your stress ☺️ All day, all night!!! I am also able to travel. I drive a lot so I don’t mind if I have to travel a bit. I would love for the pet owners to give me a run down no matter what! Even if your animal is low maintenance. My dogs are high maintenance so I’m also used to that. I just like specific instructions, I feel it makes it easier for everyone involved! Especially if I’m pet sitting in your home. That’s your safe space.
About: I’ve had and taken care of dogs my whole life! I have experience with young, senior, active, and working dogs. My family dog growing up was born deaf and with a thyroid condition so I am very familiar with medication admission or other disabilities. My husband and I often work different shifts so someone is often home with the dog(s). I have no problem moving work around to care for your furbaby! I have a fenced in yard and large home. There is only one dog and plenty of room for the dogs to stretch their legs or spread out. I am active and will run or walk your pet!
About: Update: I will not be available Oct 27 - Nov 2. This has happened to me and it is so very unfortunate I have to say this...If you have a senior dog, please let me know of any changes to their health!!!!! If you believe your pup is nearing end of life, PLEASE do not ask me to keep your dog. It is very heartbreaking and your pet wants YOU and needs YOU during his or her last days because YOU are their entire world. I love dogs!! I've fostered many dogs and volunteered at many shelters. I've had seniors and even fostered one with spina bifida. My first two loves were English Bulldogs. I have lots of experience with them and know that smooshy face breeds are much more delicate than other breeds. I absolutly love them! I'm not good with extremely energtic dogs, but can handle anything else. I am semi-retired. I currently work part time on Friday and Sundays with an occasional third day, so I am home a lot. I have plenty of time to devote to your pooch. In my home, I care for your pet just as I care for mine. Of course, with your direction implemented also. I do have a pool, so I will need to know how your dog is around pools, or if they have zero experience with pools, I will need to know that as well.
About: Are you looking for a mature pet sitter/Walker with high integrity? I love all the animals, big and small! I will earn your trust and be the best sitter you ever had! I've volunteered at the animal shelter and always rescued/saved cats and dogs. I have experience of more than 20 years walking with various dogs, potty training puppies, administering oral medicine as well as I have given vaccinations. I work from home and make my own schedule, so I'm available at any time for your pet needs. I offer walks, exercise and play, drop in visits, and boarding at my house. I have fully fenced 6 acres of well maintained land and will play and exercise with your dogs as much as they want. I will send you pictures and keep you updated, so that you don't have to worry about your dog well being. I currently work at home and my schedule is very flexible. I choose my own time/hours, so I'm available at anytime for the pets. I have 6 acres completely fenced and well maintained property. I have a separate living quarters with heat and air conditioning so that I can separate your dogs from other animals if needed.
“Lauren was so great with our pups! She was able to help us on super short notice and still made time to come over a day prior for a meet and greet. She was punctual and provided pictures at each drop in. Would absolutely recommend her and plan to use her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Shaw Air Force Base
Jacquelyn was great with Tiger!! I loved seeing photos of him relaxing with her. I am always a worrier when I’m out of town but I felt so comfortable knowing she was there to care for him! She also brought in my mail which was a life saver as I forgot to do it on my way out of town! I will definitely be using her again for my boy :)

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
