“Richard was excellent! I'm so happy that he was available since our regular boarder was booked for the holiday. Richard kept us informed and sent videos! I would highly recommend!”

“Madelyn is so sweet and her dog is super cute and friendly!! My pup was very well taken care of, and I got plenty of pics/updates throughout his stay! 10/10 recommend”

“He was an amazing sitter for Diamond and truly went above and beyond! He made sure she was comfortable, happy, and well cared for the entire time. He kept me updated with pictures every day, was very communicative, and even made her little treats. He made me feel completely at ease knowing Diamond was in such great hands. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and I will definitely be booking with him again if I ever need someone to watch Diamond. I highly recommend him!”

“I am so thankful for Diana - she was able to watch my girl for a very last minute trip and accommodating to late drop off/pick ups. She provided updates and photos daily which helped to ease my own separation anxiety. Sweetie came home happy, healthy, and tired - a great sign of a great time with her sitter :) Thank you again!!”

“Jennifer was very loving of Mahogany. She and her children and pets welcomed him into the home as one of the family. The back yard was good for play with some good open space nearby. Definitely will board with her again!”

“We were nervous to leave Athena for the first time but were completely put at ease by Aubrey. From the start Athena was running around the yard playing with buca and just having fun. She was so nice and sent us pictures and videos and we saw how much of a good time Athena was having. She put a bandanna on her and it looked so good she gave it to us! Athena didn't even miss us she was having such a good time. ”

“Kerri is magical! My dog gets anxious when she is away from us and will not eat and chew off her fur. This did NOT happen with her, which is proof our dog was comfortable with her! She picked up and dropped off our dog on time too. Quick responses to inquiries. I would definitely use her again.”

“Andrew was amazing with Umphrey. I asked that my dog be a solo stay and Andrew was happy to accommodate the request, putting me and Umphrey at ease during the stay. Drop off/pick up was smooth and I received daily pictures and videos to stay updated on how Umph was doing. Thank you!”

“Awesome experience. I was nervous because it’s my first time using Rover, but I had peace of mind on my trip and Willow was spoiled and bathed! Priceless! Highly recommend and will book again!”

About: Hi! I’m Jaden — a veterinary technician with hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and medical needs. I work daily with animals in a clinical setting, so I’m comfortable handling everything from high-energy puppies to senior pets and those needing extra attention. I have experience administering medications, recognizing early signs of illness, and helping pets feel safe and calm, especially in stressful situations. Whether your pet needs a quick drop-in visit, a walk, or overnight care, I treat every animal like my own — with patience, attention, and lots of love. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I’m committed to providing reliable communication and updates so you feel completely at ease while you’re away. I’m happy to work with pets that have special needs, medical conditions, or unique routines. Looking forward to meeting you and your pet! I currently work Monday through Thursday as a veterinary technician, but I still offer consistent and reliable care with a flexible schedule around my shifts. Availability: ✅ Weekdays (Mon–Thurs): Available for early morning visits/walks before work and evenings after work ✅ Weekends: More open availability for drop-ins, walks, and extended care I tailor my care to each pet’s individual routine, personality, and needs to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. 🏡 In Your Home When caring for pets in their own environment, I focus on maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. This includes feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions you provide. I also ensure: Fresh water, clean feeding areas, and litter/yard cleanup Plenty of attention, enrichment, and companionship Monitoring for any changes in behavior or health I’m also comfortable administering medications and watching for early signs of illness or stress.
About: I have had pets all my life, including dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, and fish and am very comfortable caring for animals with different needs and personalities. I am also a long time cat foster and have experience giving oral medications and fluids. I am very attentive to animals needs and personalities, and take time to make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I have a very active and playful 4 year old dog who has completed advanced training. Because of his training and my experience with animals, I’m comfortable reading canine body language, behavior, and different play styles and can recognize when dogs are having fun or when they need a break. Our dog loves having a buddy around, and I’m able to separate them when needed if he gets too rambunctious. We also have cats in the home and would be separated from your pet, but out of an abundance of caution we can only board dogs who are good with cats. I work 7:30-3:30 during the weekdays. Afternoons I am home and are spent with our pets. We usually try to get out on a hike on the weekends. I have a very large fenced in backyard that your pup can play in. We have extra crates if needed. I am experienced in caring for medically fragile animals.
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Shadeville
Dexter is in good hands when Amanda is watching him, she was good with communication, and helpful with administering treatment for a hot spot! She took great care and he looked like he was enjoying his life when we picked him up! We’ll definitely have her watch him again in the future!

Sarah was phenomenal with our playful, high-energy 8 month old puppy. Even when we had to extend our stay due to a funeral, Sarah was very accommodating and understanding. Every day she sent multiple photo updates of our puppy and was very communicative. Would absolutely book Sarah again for our fur baby.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Shadeville home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Shadeville.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Shadeville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
