“Alexis was amazing & I will absolutely be using again! She did 1 hour drop-in visits for my 2 kitties for 8 days & went above & beyond my expectations. This was the first time I’ve ever had to leave them for an extended period of time, so it was also the first time I’ve had to hire someone to help take care of them, so I was pretty nervous. She came over ahead of time to get acquainted with them & myself, stayed in constant communication while I was gone, sent me lots of pictures & updates, & most impressive- got one of my babies to be snuggly & loving with her which is incredible considering their normal disposition around new people (hiding be pretty hissy/unfriendly). That alone let me know just how amazing she is with animals! When I came home their litter boxes were clean, their food & water were full, & they were both perfect condition. I’m so grateful for Alexis & how well she took care of my kitties while I was gone. I knew they were safe & well cared for which made being away from them 1,000 times easier! She will be my number 1 go-to anytime I need someone to take care of my cats in the future!”

About: I am available for in home pet care and house sitting, along with plant care, gardening, yard and pool maintenance. I have not completed any sits through Rover yet, but have been a pet sitter with TrustedHousesitters since 2018 and MindMyHouse since 2022. I am available for short and long term in home pet sits anywhere (but depends on where I’m traveling at that time). I am a snowbird and travel South Nov-April. I live in NE Indiana the rest of the year. If I happen to be in your area and don’t need to stay overnight in your home, I’m open to just stopping by and walking them. Just send me a message and we can figure it out. I’m also flexible with dog size and breed, but probably will decline sitting large breeds if we cannot do a meet and greet or they are not trained. I have sat for many senior pets, puppies, kittens and multiple animals at once. I prefer to sit for small-medium breeds, but will sit for large breeds if there’s only one and they are not difficult to walk. I bring over 30 years of experience in house/pet sitting. I have a flexible schedule and reliable transportation, therefore I have no trouble driving up to 16 hours to do a house sit, depending on where I am at the moment. I work remotely five days a week and am able to be around your pets throughout the day to ensure they have the love and attention that they need. About: I have cared for dogs ranging from bottle-fed puppies to elderly that need special care and medication. I have been trusted throughout my whole life to care for an array of animals such as dogs, cats, lizards, snakes, rats, etc. I work 2pm-10pm M-F but can fit caring for your fur baby in the morning and at night. I’m also a mom so I just may have a baby companion tag along with me sometimes! I meet the pet where they are at! If they are shy and nervous, I’m more than happy to sit there with them until I earn their trust. If they are social and ready to go throw that ball, my shoes are on and I’m ready to go!

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
