About: I have had and watched dogs in my life since I was a teenager. I love being with them more than most humans. I have taken care of lots of different kinds of dogs. I treat them all as I would my own. I am retired and have a fairly open schedule. I can give your dogs my full attention, attend to their needs and wants. They are my priority. I have a fenced in yard and lots of non fenced yard. Depending on your dogs preference, I also have lots of area to take long walks. I live in the country and its peaceful and quiet here with lots of room to play and walk.
About: We have had dogs and cats all our lives. Our current dog was quite a handful when we first got him, so we have some experience with stubborn big dogs, haha. Love to take dogs out for exercise walks as well as sniff walks. Also enjoy a good couch potato session with puppies and kitties alike. I got to see the entire country and meet a ton of awesome animals - mostly dogs & puppies, but rabbits, kitties, lizards, too. I have since planted my flag in Galesburg, IL, and am hoping to build up a clientele of regular check-ins here in this area as I build a home for myself off the road. I am happy to book new clients through Rover, but I do most of my gigs through direct booking after the initial sit. Since Rover keeps 20% of a sitter's fee, please consider tipping in full to make up the difference. Upon meeting new clients, I would like to let folks know that it is common courtesy to compensate a potential sitter if they are traveling from out of town for a meet & greet. It is not expected but greatly appreciated to offer to stock the fridge for overnights, especially for longer sits. These are things I have learned from my favorite clients, families that have taught me how to make a happy living caring for their beloved households. Dogsitting is what I do for a living. I don't mind driving out of town for overnight gigs with appropriate compensation. Just ask and let's see what we can set up. For overnights, I like to keep handwritten notes throughout the day and have little photoshoots here and there. I prefer to check in via text at the end of the day w some nice photos and a brief summary of the day's events. My clients enjoy reading the full report when they get home.

I cannot accept cats, even though I love them, my beagle will try and track them and I don’t think they will have fun. I do have outside cats that I take care of, but if your dog does not get along with them, I can keep them away. I live in the country, so I have a HUGE yard, but it is not fenced in. I’m currently home most days, so dogs will not be kenneled for long periods. Outside breaks every hour to two hours when I am home. You fur baby will never be lonely at our house. My two dogs will love to play and I have a giant couch for cuddles! I will send updates and pictures!

If dogs are needed to be crated at a certain time, I can do that and if they need free time constantly then I am all for that as well.
