About: What sets me apart from others is that I have fostered many dogs and cats in the recent past. I have 5 animals of my own including 3 dogs and 2 cats. I have a special interest and love for animals and will always provide the best care. I also have a lot of training on dog body language and am currently in school to be a dog groomer! I’m currently self employed. So I have plenty of time to play, walk or care for your sweet babies. I hope I can be considered! I pride myself in my knowledge and skills when it comes to animals and if I am doing a stay in visit I’m confident I can follow any and all directions I’m given. As well as when walking your furry family member. I will take any and all safety precautions.
About: I have had pets literally my entire life. Dogs, cats, horses, and other small animals. I am patient, kind, loving, and know how to bond quickly with them. I truly enjoy the company of dogs especially and they always sense that and enjoy being with me as well. I have significant flexibility in my schedule. I can easily make the loving care of your pet my priority. I focus on Thursdays through Sunday/Monday for those quick weekend trips. I live in a small, senior park with lots of grass, a new, fenced dog park, and paved roads just in case your well-loved dog(s) may have grass or sand sensitivity. I have lots of time to devote to your dog. I can walk them, take them on golf cart rides, or give them time to play in the dog park.

About: I have had between 2-4 animals in my house since I was a kid. I have been pet sitting animals from kittens/puppies all the way up to 16 years old for the past 4 years consistently. I am good with helping animals take their meds and will interact with animals at their pace. I am currently working a part time job and starting full online classes so I can get my masters. This means that I will be free most of the time and will be able to make my schedule fit around my clients needs. In my clients home I will make sure to follow instructions given to me, ensuring I am familiar with all details to give the animals the best care. I will take any animals that enjoy walks for those in the area or to a park if they need to get energy out, play with them outside, or play with them inside. I follow a routine for feeding and for any meds they might have to take, while also checking to make sure they have full and clean water daily. If I am cat sitting I will make sure to check and scoop the litter daily as well if needed.
“Bailey is amazing!! She cared for our doggies and cat like we would and they love her. She also looked after our home which was an added bonus and so appreciated! And I can still stay overnight if needed! I will follow instructions how to care for your animals in your home. This can include baths, walks, potty breaks, play time and feeding times.

“Grayson came through for us at the last minute for an unexpected pet sitting need while we were on vacation. He did a fantastic job with Biscuit who is 20 years old with multiple health issues and was very patient with us getting home much later than expected. We got frequent updates and photos which was great. Fantastic sitter!”

About: I currently work as the volunteer coordinator and shelter attendant in the cat room at a local animal shelter and provide pet sitting services on the side. My work schedule is quite flexible, which allows me plenty of time to care for your pets and accommodate your needs. In high school, I served as President of the Animal Rescue Club for two years, where I organized volunteer projects and fundraisers to support local shelters. I’ll always make sure to set aside the perfect amount of time to care for your pets, ensuring they’re happy, well taken care of, and ready for a nice nap by the time I leave! I have experience with all animals and dogs of all breeds and sizes! So you can trust that I am a good fit and am able to handle your pet(s) no matter what size or breed they are!

“We had a great experience with Seth! Our anxious dog seemed comfortable with him from the first time they met. He sent really wonderful photos of our girls each day and kept us updated about how they were doing. We get nervous about leaving our girls with strangers, but we would definitely have Seth take care of them again. He left our house clean and the three dogs seemed well cared for.”

“We absolutely love Jennifer. We had never really left our dog Luna with anyone apart from family, who live abt 3 hours away from us. On a recent long overseas vacation we didn’t have that option available and didn’t want to leave Luna at a pet boarding place. Jennifer was an absolute God send. Jennifer stayed at our place on the long vacation (2 weeks). We have used her services again for our week long vacation over Christmas. A couple things that Jennifer did that completely blew us away. She took Luna on multiple walks everyday, sometimes even hour long walks on the bike track. She took her on walks even when it was cold and had snow all around. She baked doggie cookies for Luna. She took her on car rides to the dog park close by. She let Luna cuddle and sleep with her on the bed. She even sent daily update photos multiple times a day. Jennifer went completely above and beyond. She even came back to let Luna out and take her for a short walk after work on the last day as we were getting back a little late in the evening. Incredibly caring, she is loved by our dog. We will use Jennifer’s services on all vacations going forward, if she is available.”

“Catelyn was fantastic with my Cali girl! She was excellent in making sure all of her needs were met. Cali is a GSD that gets very anxious and reactive. Catelyn sent me lots of pupdates of how Cali was doing as well as pictures and videos 😊 I’m very particular about who Cali is with as we have worked so hard to build her confidence and reduce her anxiety and reactivity, and I would rebook Catelyn in a heartbeat! I came home to a very happy pup! Thank you Catelyn !!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Sawyerville
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 188 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sawyerville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sawyerville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sawyerville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sawyerville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sawyerville. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
