About: I grew up taking care of a big, sweet lab and spending time with my extended family’s large dogs. Since then I’ve had the privilege of bonding with the dogs of friends and past partners. I’ve been professionally dog sitting full-time for 2+ years, and off and on for 5. I follow the lead of the dog owner with commands and whether to have the dog(s) on leash or not. I’ve had many experiences of simple neighborhood walks, longer hikes in the wild, dog parks, car rides, giving medication, taking the dog to the vet when needed, and lots of playtime and cuddling. :) I love getting to know the unique personality of each dog I care for, and I do my best to make sure they have quality time and care while their person is away. About: I sincerely love dogs and getting to know each of their unique personalities. I have a 9 year old dachshund that i claim as my little best friend. I am a personal assistant / property manager (currently on off season) that has experience with juggling many tasks in different areas. I have experience with pet care as my employer has two large dogs which I am responsible for grooming daily, medication/ treats / food / inventory that include dietary restrictions. About: Dogs are my great addiction. I've owned dogs and walked and trained them all my life, but until I settle into my next job, I can't have a dog of my own again, so I'm petsitting and walking dogs for extra “dog time.” I have trained dogs for decades and now I also walk dogs at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter. in the past, I assisted a vets, once in the mobile spay/neuter clinic in the Navajo Nation, and in a few other instances with wildlife rehab and injured animals. I kept all my own dogs into old age and love senior dogs. With my family I raised 2 litters of Shepherd puppies, and Ive fostered mothers and puppies at my home. I work part-time and online, and can fit my schedule around your dog, cat or housesitting needs. FYI, I don’t introduce my pack to other dogs that we don’t know, to avoid any unwanted drama and to keep everyone safe. New dogs really shouldn’t be introduced while on leashes anyway. I speak the language of dogs and am confident around them always. I am always their alpha who provides a fun and safe space for my pack.
