“Where do I even begin?! Mandi was an exceptional sitter and provided such a source of comfort while we were away, despite several “hiccups.” Our greyhound Ziggy got into a large bag of pill pockets which made him really sick. At one point, he became so irritable and blocked Mandi from getting back inside the house! But she remained so patient with him and tried lots of solutions until finally he calmed down. She never once made us feel bad and was so willing to help. Ziggy had several accidents in the house due to his upset stomach and anxiety from fireworks, and Mandi cleaned everything up with no complaint. She even made a special trip to the vet to pick up meds for him, and prepared him a bland diet of cooked chicken and rice! Last but not least - we have the worst luck - our refrigerator died and Mandi cleaned out as much of the spoiled food as she could. This could have been the worse vacation considering everything but Mandi was a true professional and helped us relax without having to worry too much about Ziggy’s care. We will definitely be reaching out in the future (if we haven’t scared her off lol!).”

“I have an asthmatic cat as well as fosters from the Humane Society. Gaye was friendly, responsible and loving to my animals. I had a feral mom and 2 six week old kittens in my attic which made for a less than easy job. Gaye sent me pictures and communication on a daily basis and made sure my kitties were loved in my absence. Highly recommend.”

“Robin was awesome! She gave detailed updates with pictures and made us feel great about our cat being happy and well while we were away. We will definitely book with her again!”

“Oh my goodness! Katherine took such great care of Dinah, 5 stars are not enough! She took pictures every day, played with her and just went above and beyond. Dinah frequently goes on a hunger strike when I'm gone, even if my husband is home. Well Katherine must have the magic touch, because Dinah actually ate! I highly recommend Katherine!”

“Kelly is amazing and my GSD King loves her. She is timely and flexible and gives the best love to my main man. I receive pictures of her visit and that makes me happy. I would HIGHLY recommend Kelly with your fur baby.”

“Cari was a life saver and booked my babies a day before! I am so thankful she was able to give them a potty break on such short notice. She did amazing with our two dogs and one foster who can be shy of people. 100% recommend. Thank you Cari!”

About: I've taken care of pets professionally since I was college-aged, worked in 2 kennels with additional care given via baths, nail trims, etc. Have also owned dogs and cats all throughout my life. Comfortable with all sizes. I work from home, so I'm available all day to take care of your pet! I have a 1 year old black Labrador who is so sweet and loves to play, so hopefully they can wear each other out! I have a fenced yard and a black Lab that is very sweet and friendly to keep your pet company! She's probably more excited to see them than I am! You can expect frequent potty breaks, administered medicine I'd needed, and lots of playing!

“Arnie is incredible! He came over a few days before my first booking to meet my 2 dogs. My senior dog warmed right up to him, and my 3 year old rescue even allowed some scratches and to be held. I was able to tell they both felt safe and secure with Arnie around. My senior needs a little extra help up and down the stairs, and I’m still working on leash confidence with the 3 year old. These things didn’t faze Arnie or stand out as a problem. He was ready to tackle them head on. This made me feel safe and secure knowing my babies would be in goods hands with him. I’m so thrilled that Arnie will be a buddy for my pups, and give me some peace of mind when I have a long work day!”

My childhood dog was a toy poodle and now I have 2 German shepherds! All raised from pups. I’m comfortable working with all pet animals size or age doesn’t matter I love em! About: I have several years of personal and professional pet care, but a lifetime of love for animals! I take humble pride in being the stranger that your critter who "never comes out to see anyone" is suddenly on my lap. I've cared for critters of all kinds, sizes and temperaments. Have any questions, shoot me a message! Looking forward to meeting you and your fuzzy or scaly loved ones. I am seeking to make this a 25-35 hrs/week gig with multiple clients. My availability is very flexible and open at this given time (June 2025). I commute between an apartment in downtown Hagerstown and St Mary's County (Wildewood) and care for my family's German shepherd (Freya) and teddy bear (Odin) about 1-2 days a month in W.V. Those dates are preplanned. I'm an early bird, up around 4:30-6 AM. I have a low maintenance mainecoon so she grazes all day and has plenty to do till I come home for my own kitty snuggles. I can only care for your pets on their turf or if you allow it, to take them to public parks. Both of my residences do not allow additional boarding. I personally wouldn't mind, but, rules are rule. I'm very adaptable and would love to keep any routine you have with your pets. From nicknames, babytalk, several walks a day, a bath etc... Write down your desired routine for Fido/Whiskers and I'll do my best to keep them entertained and comfortable until you're back home.

About: I grew up with dogs and have trained up two puppies in the last five years, one of them was a hunting dog. Currently I have a four-year-old tabby named Coco! I love to be active and play outside but I’m also happy to just sit and love on your fur babies, throw around toys or whatever makes your animals happy! I typically work Monday through Thursday until about 3 PM. I’m happy to do evening care if you’re working late or if you need someone for a long weekend to pop in! I am a big fan of the philosophy, meet people or in this case pets where they are. I pride myself on being respectful, and will essentially do whatever is asked of me, to make your animal or fur baby the most comfortable!

“Tiffany was super friendly and took great care of my dog while I was at work. I really appreciated the updates, pictures, and the peace of mind knowing my pup got some fresh air and attention during the day. Will definitely be booking again—highly recommend!”

About: I have had dogs all my life, from German Shepherds, Cocker Spaniels, and now Golden Retrievers. Nine years ago I decided to foster and do home visits for a rescue. I ensure they get vetted, groomed, and work with any behavior issues from being abused or neglected. I have plenty of patience and make sure above all else, they know they are safe and loved. That is all our fur babies want is to be safe, loved, and taken care of and the unconditional love you get in return is simply amazing. Let me take care of your fur baby and I know you will be glad you did. I’m retired now and just want to do what I love, taken care of fur babies. I can help you anytime, just let me know what you need. I have a fenced in yard, and two friendly Goldens at home that get along with everyone. I can crate your dog if needed or they can have run of the house with mine. We have plenty of toys from ones to chew on, to several to play ball or frisbee outside. It doesn’t matter the age of your pet, I have had and adopted several older dogs, I love them all and they will get the best care. I have farm land in front of me to take them for walks if you would like that as well. Your pets will be well taken care of and safe.

“Stephanie has sat for my 2 cats twice now. She does a great job of updating me daily on how my boys are doing. Went above my expectations when my younger cat who has been having digestive issues left some “presents” on a rug. She cleaned up the bulk and washed the rug for me which I was very appreciative for.”

“Yolanda was absolutely wonderful. We had an unexpected event and had to put one of our dogs down right before we left. We were so worried about leaving our other dog alone with without the other one. When we told her about this and Yolanda made sure that our little girl was taking care off. She went over and beyond to make sure she was happy and comfortable. I can tell that our dog Mixie had the best time. Highly recommend Yolanda she’s the absolute best.”

“Leah was a great cat-sitter! Very easy to work with, she made fast-friends with our cat, sent us reassuring updates each day, even a picture of his litter box (as only a pet owner would appreciate!) We felt very good being away while knowing that she was taking care of our little bundle of furry fun. I will definitely be using Leah again in the future! Thank you Leah!!!”

About: I have had cats in my family for about thirteen years and I’ve had a dog for seven. My first dog was a German shepherd/lab/pit bull mix, and my second a full bred GSD, so I’m used to lots of long walks. As far as grooming goes, I have experience clipping claws and brushing the dreaded double coats. I’m also able to provided any medications as needed! If you as owners are gone for an extend period of time it can be stressful for pets, I do my best to ease any potential stress they may have. I work as a Personal Trainer as well, so I availablity throughout the day based off my clients schedules. Especially during those early afternoon times when let’s haven’t been walked since morning. I would treat my clients pets the way my clients would treat them. Adhering to any special instructions and making sure the pets are healthy and happy. I own my own business and am able to check/take care of your pup during the day. They will never be left alone more than a few hours to help reduce boredom and stress I am building a fence here soon and am able to provide your dog with walks, fetches, and hikes. I am able to adapt to your pets needs

I always take the time to get to know each dog's personality so I can give them the attention and care they deserve. Whether it's a long walk or quiet cuddle time, your dog’s comfort and happiness are my top priorities. I’m a recent college grad with 8 years of pet care experience. Katelyn O.
“She's watched/walked my dogs and cat many times. Always great with them, I'm almost jealous of how sad the dogs get when she leaves... but beyond her being too good with my boys, no complaints. Never let the cat out when taking the dogs out, always careful with their feeding requirements, all around animal lover.”

Kathleen W.
“Kat has always been a lover of animals. Our family fostered rescue dogs and she became a primary caretaker for these abused animals. She has a special cat who claimed her early and has bonded with her completely. When not busy with work or pet sitting she has volunteered at the animal shelters to spend time with animals awaiting their homes. She is responsible and on time and often does little extras such as sweeping or dishes.”

Taylor G.
“Taylor is my go to choice when I need help with my pets (1 dog and 3 cats.) My dog absolutely adores her. He is always excited to see her and seems to enjoy her spending time with him. I find Taylor to be reliable, caring and she takes her responsibilities seriously.”

Tiffany B.

“Tiffany was super friendly and took great care of my dog while I was at work. I really appreciated the updates, pictures, and the peace of mind knowing my pup got some fresh air and attention during the day. Will definitely be booking again—highly recommend!”

Ronda P.
“I can recommend Ronda P. without hesitation. She has looked after my beloved pets, Coco, my chocolate Lab, and my two tabby cats, Kiki and Jazzy on multiple occasions while I traveled. Each time, I returned to find them relaxed, happy, and clearly showered with affection. Ronda’s heart for animals is obvious the moment she meets them. She learns their routines, favorite toys, and quirks, then sticks to those details so my babies feel completely at ease. She sends thoughtful updates and photos, which gave me total peace of mind during my time away. I always knew Coco had enjoyed plenty of fresh air and playtime and that Kiki and Jazzy had their daily cuddle sessions and cookies. Beyond the basics, Ronda goes the extra mile. She keeps water bowls sparkling clean, sweeps up litter that makes its way outside their litter boxes without being asked, and makes sure leashes and toys are stored neatly. If one of my pets needs medication or special care, she handles it reliably. Her calm, upbeat demeanor is steady reassurance that my fur kids are safe and adored. In short, Ronda is: • Exceptionally caring and attentive • Organized and dependable with schedules and instructions • Great at communication and photo updates • Experienced with both dogs and cats, including seniors and pets with special needs If you are looking for someone to treat your pets like her own, choose Ronda. They will be in the best hands possible, and you will enjoy true peace of mind.”

San Mar pet parents share their Rover experiences
We’ve had the pleasure of working with Mary as our pet-sitter for the past five years. During that time, Mary has provided drop-in visits during the day and home stays when we’re away. Mary is incredibly reliable, flexible with our sometimes last-minute scheduling needs, and has a natural understanding of animals. It gives us real peace of mind knowing our pets (and home) are in such capable hands while we're away. She's not only great with animals—calm, confident, and clearly experienced—but also reliable and easy to work with. We highly recommend her as a pet-sitter.
