“Becky provided drop in visits daily for our two kitties. Becky is cognizant to look for issues and quickly alerted us of issues with our older cat. She called us asking how to proceed. Thank you so much for keeping our babies. Will book you again!”
About: My name is Leah. I am a Registered Nurse and I’ve had dogs my whole life! I grew up with them and, as an adult, have owned three dogs of my own — two with special needs. Caring for them taught me patience and responsibility. I always aim to keep their safety and happiness my top priority. I currently work part-time and volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation center. My schedule is very flexible at the moment, and I am generally available during the day Tuesday through Sunday. Please note that weekend availability may vary based on personal commitments, and my weekday availability may change in the future as my work schedule evolves. I aim to provide attentive, reliable care in a safe and calm environment, whether in your home or on walks. I follow your instructions carefully, make sure pets are secure at all times, and keep a close eye on their behavior and well-being. My goal is to make every visit or walk enjoyable, stress-free, and tailored to each dog’s personality and needs.

I have many years experience with both pets and house sitting. Non-smoker,. Available to meet my clients needs. I am available for drop in visits, walks and housesitting. I will care for your pet the same as I would my own and follow your guidelines. I am familiar with the anxiety pets experience when their pack changes and would work to calm them and make them feel secure. I also care for cats and gardens/plants. I currently work part time so my schedule is flexible, I also set my own work schedule so please reach out to confirm my availability! I follow a known routine for your pet. I like to make your pet comfortable around me so I try to earn their trust from the start.

Clients home, I have various dogs cats at my house and I think I’d be better suited caring for a pet in their home environment.
“Joselle was a great pet sitter. She not only cared for our large senior dog, she also took care of our daughter’s 9 week old puppy. She kept in touch with us & was very attentive. Will definitely book her again”

“Manda is great! She kept our dog in the past and just finished doing drop-in visits for our cats. She clearly loves animals and treats them as her own! She sent great photos and kept us well-informed. I highly recommend her!”

About: I have taken care of animals and pets since I was young. Growing up, we had puppies, dogs, cats, rabbits and chickens. With my children we had guinea pigs, hamsters, and cats. I currently work full time but I have a full hour for lunch to stop by and care for your pets. I can do drop ins or stay at your house, whatever is needed to make sure your pet is safe and loved. I have two cats at my house. They are well loved and follow me everywhere. I make sure they have nutritious food and clean water always. I have helped with dogs, making sure they are safe when out walking. I make sure they are given the right amounts of food and always have water. As a pet lover, I want to give them companionship, love, and security while their "parents" are away.
“Hope is truly the best sitter we have ever had! She's so sweet and kind, our animals love her especially our pup who is older and doesn't always do well with new people in the house!”

“Kelly is amazing!! When we found her, we were looking for a pet sitter on short notice. She was so understanding and accommodating. She took her time in allowing our dog to warm up to her at their meet and greet, and also on the drop-in visits. She provides fast communication and the best photo updates!! Not only does she do the essential duties of pet sitting, she takes time to play and cuddle with them so they don’t feel lonely while their family is away. “Aunt Kelly” is highly recommended and will definitely be used again!!!”

About: I have had dogs and cats while growing up. My landlord has a "no pets" policy so I would love to spend time with your pets! I am currently laid off. I go to the gym a few nights a week for a couple hours, otherwise I am available all day. I am not able to provide services at my home as my landlord does not permit pets. I am happy to take care of your pets at your home where they are most comfortable
About: I have had dogs and cats my whole life. I've had a variety of dog breeds. I currently have 3 of my own; one big(Australian Shepard dobermand mix), one medium (pitbull), and one small (mini pinscher). I also dog sit for friends when they go on vacation. I walk, feed, bathe, and play with their dogs as well as my own. I am an EMT. I work 12 and 24 hour shifts rotating between 2-3 days a week. On my days off I plan to spend them with some dogs and/or cats! In my home I have a fenced in back yard that my dogs can run and play safely. Fetch is my pitbulls favorite game and I love to play with her. If I were to take care of your pets I would make sure to follow your dog's schedule as they normally would, including playtime and walks!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Saltsburg. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 90% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
