“I can't recommend Heather enough! She treats your dog like family! Took such good care of my pup and sent lots pictures of all the fun while watching her. Will 100% be using her again! She is the best!”
“Frodo stayed with Amanda again and he is happy with her. He comes back tired and missing his stay ☺️☺️ The best is the peace of mind during each stay. He is going to spend all the Christmas with her and we know that we don't have to be worried. Amanda is sending us pictures every day so it is very easy to enjoy vacation knowing that Frodo is treated as a king. ”
“Mar is great to Molly. Even when a family emergency came up and I had to extend the visit unexpectedly, Mar was super helpful and accommodating. Molly gets excited when we pull up to the house, so I know she is in good hands and has a great time when she's there.”
“Jamie was wonderful with The Diva! Jaime sent photos every day while we were away and updated us on how Hadassah was adjusting. I would highly recommend her to care for your sweet ones. Bobbi Jo”
“Nancy was absolutely amazing with my dog! She sent lots of pictures which I greatly appreciated. I could tell he was having a great time and was well loved and cared for. Nancy and Butch are lovely people and I highly recommend their services!!”
“Michelle was wonderful! Diesel came back from his mini vacation extremely happy and comfortable. I call it a mini vacation because he had so much fun! Normally he can be very anxious and nervous when leaving him for an extended stay away from me, but when I picked Diesel up after his stay with Michelle, he was calm, happy, and didn't skip a beat, seeming like he didn't miss me much...which is all I could hope for from a pet sitter! I ended up needing an extra night from the original booking as well, and Michelle was more than willing to accomodate me. You can truly tell they love your babies like their own. I look forward to continuing to use her for all my future bookings! Thanks again, Michelle!”
“The experience I had boarding my Abby (golden) with Mariah was truly a great experience. You're always nervous to leave your Fur Baby with someone new. She put me at easy in the first two minutes. She loves and cared for my dog like it was her own. My baby was happy, happy to see me, but she didn't want to leave! It was funny! Thank you Mariah, I really appreciated her fitting me in like she did. Great Experience!”
“Hannah was great! Easy to book with and was very accommodating to our dogs' needs and allowed time for adjustment. I had no concerns at all that our dogs weren't perfectly cared for while with her! She sent photos and updates regularly to ensure me that everything was going well. Will definitely reach out the next time we need to board our dogs.”
“Wade took excellent care of Gage, who was happy and tired when I picked him after his overnight stay. Wade had great communication with messages including pictures. I will definitely use his services again!”
“Amy did a fabulous job with caring for my 2 dogs! She sent photos and updates which were very much appreciated! She’s knowledgeable about dogs so I felt super comfortable with her watching my dogs. Would definitely use her again and recommend her to all who need her services!”
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life growing up. Anywhere from small, medium, to large dogs. I’ve had mini dachshunds, Dalmatians, St. Bernards, and German Shepherds. Currently right now I have a 3 Golden Retrievers named Willie, Waylon, and Hank. I also have a cat named Cash! I current work full time Monday-Thursday. I can be available later evenings if needed, we would just have to work things out in advance. I am generally free Friday-Sunday for any needs as well but also with notice. We have a 2 acre yard that my pups are free to roam via a underground fence. But we also have a lead for my moms dogs when she brings them over to play. We have a big house with a good sized living room and kitchen where all of my pups play as well when we have to be inside.

I can host your small - medium dog or will do drop in visits and walks. I have experience caring for our senior dog and recently said goodbye to him. 💔
“Bobby was great with both of our shepherd, Arya and Dany. He sent us updates periodically, which was great to know that they were adjusting well, especially since our younger dog is very timid. Bobby sent pics of the doggos playing fetch in his backyard, which is Arya’s favorite pastime. Thanks again, Bobby! We will definitely be reaching out for future dog boarding needs.”

“She did great with our cat Smokey! Will definitely book again. She was very understanding of the storm and pick up times being pushed back. Also sent pictures to update us regularly on our boy! Couldn’t be more happy! 10/10 recommend her & we will be back!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Salix home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Salix.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Salix sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
