About: I’ve taken care of countless roommates dogs, before getting my own a couple years ago. Before getting my own I did lots of research on training so she could have a happy, healthy, and safe life. I am committed to a dog’s safety and happiness. I am big on positive reinforcement which is how I’ve trained Buttercup. I’ve worked with multiple dogs on leash training, off leash training (minimal), potty training, and other general commands (sit, stay, come, heel, etc.). I have a full-time job and love hanging out with all the doggos in my free time. A couple of my workdays are fairly long, so I am more available later in the week. Pups (6months+) and dogs are allowed everywhere in my house except my personal bed. It is a modest home, with a fenced back yard (dog castle included). My dog, Buttercup, loves other dogs and is eager to play and be friends when they are. She has had interactions with both younger pups as well as much older doggos (up to 11 years old) and all interactions have gone well. While she’s on the medium-large end (70-75lbs) some of her best doggo friends range from significantly smaller (7-12 lbs) to much larger (100+lbs). She interacts well with different sizes.

About: Hi there, I’m Kaitlyn! I’ve been around animals my whole life as I started fostering and volunteering with local rescues and shelters. Over the past 10+ years, I’ve cared for animals of all sizes and personalities. I’m comfortable with energetic pets, shy animals, senior pets, and multi-pet households. I always aim to make animals feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. Whether your pet loves playtime, long walks, or just extra cuddles and attention, I’m happy to match their needs and routine. I understand how important trust and communication are when someone else is caring for your pets, so I make sure to provide reliable care and regular updates throughout visits or stays! Feel free to reach out with any questions, I’d love to get to know you and your pets! I recently graduated with my master’s degree, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide attentive, reliable care for your pets! My goal is always to help pets feel relaxed, safe, and loved while staying in their familiar environment. I’m attentive to routines, feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special instructions to ensure the best care possible. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos for extra peace of mind!
“Krista came over to meet HiShawn before our trip. It took a minute but he did warm up to her. When she started to leave he started whining. He’s never done that before. Krista and HiShawn got along splendidly! Thank you, Keista”

“Regan did a great job with our senior dog with health concerns while we were on a 5 day trip. She's very patient and calm and followed the instructions well and helped us to not worry about our beloved pet. We highly recommend her!”

“Becca was fabulous with our girl! We booked last minute but she still made time to come over to meet her. She gave us great peace of mind while we were out of town. Definitely recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs/cats and many other animals old and young for most of my life. I have a very high passion for taking care of any animals! As an early graduate I have ample free time, so I will have plenty of time to love and care for your dogs/cats. I love going on walks and just sitting outside. So if your animal loves that I will gladly do that with them. If your animal loves to just chill and relax I love to do that as well. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I am also very good with reactive dogs/cats and know what to do in a situation if something were to happen. If your animal needs medication I can provide it with instructions! If your animal needs any special care or has any appointments I can care for them and take them to appointments.
“Simran, was amazing! I left a very detailed care list for my two doodle mixed doggos and she was professional, caring and my dogs were well take. care of. We be booking regularly.”

About: Hi! My name is Emma, and I've been caring for pets for over 8 years. I've worked with a wide variety of animals from energetic puppies and senior dogs to cats and other pets. I also have experience administering medication both orally and by injection. I'm reliable, attentive, and genuinely love spending time with animals!! I’m currently nannying in the afternoons, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pups! I am available morning, afternoon, and evening. I care about your pet’s safety. I am observant when playing with your pups outside, inside, and when walking them. I can crate them when needed!
About: I have taken care of dogs and house sat for friends and family for over 20 years. I am new to the area and I look forward to meeting new doggo friends! I’d love to arrange a meet and greet with you and your pups to discuss your needs more in-depth! I work an 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday job. However, I have a 1 hour lunch break that would allow me to stop by and check on/walk your dogs. If I have a free weekend, I could housesit for you; the sooner I know in advance, the better! I’m a very active person, so I love walking and even jogging with your dogs; whatever you need! I like to talk softly to dogs to develop a level of friendship and trust. I’m happy to accompany and play with dogs in a fenced in backyard or dog park. Sitting on a couch (if allowed) is nice too! I’d follow your regular feeding, potty and meds schedules to maintain consistency as well.
About: I have had dogs since I was a kid, and really miss having one of my own! Sadly my two childhood dogs have now passed, but I’m looking forward to taking care of your animals. One of my favorite experiences as a kid was taking my dogs on walks, and how excited they would get at just the word walk. Thanks for considering me! I am a full-time RN. I worked 3 12s a week so I’m very flexible. On my days off I am currently only doing homework working on my BSN. So virtually on my days off, I have all time availability! I would care for a pet by making sure they know I’m in their house. I would also be calm and make sure the pet trust me before caring for them. I would never pick up someone’s pet unless told other wise. I would be able to feed, clean after, and take out peoples pets. I would also give walks if needed and whatever else they wanted.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
