“Ashley went above and beyond in taking care of our three dogs! She kept us well informed and provided amazing photos and report cards after each visit. We will definitely book Ashley again the next time we are out of town! We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter in the Manhattan, KS area. Thank you Ashley!”

About: I am an animal lover! I have always had dogs or cats in my life. Our family currently has 1 dog, 1 cat and 1 gecko. I am ready to take care of your precious pet! I work from home so I am often available during the day to provide pet care. I am also often available on weekends to care for pets. I will provide compassionate and dependable care to your animal as if it were my own. I will follow any special instructions given to make sure your pet is safe, happy and healthy.
“Jessi has been our go-to pet sitter for a couple years now and has done drop-in visits for our 4 dogs many times, often for extended vacations. She’s great about keeping us informed about what’s going on with the dogs, at the house, etc. We know we can trust her and that our dogs are well cared for while we’re away.”

“Katharine was amazing with my pups! Before we left, she came over to meet them and make sure she knew where everything was located. She sent me pics every time and let me know how they were. After they destroyed a couple toys, she then took them on walks to help get out the extra boredom!”

“She’s great! If anything I have been problematic and she’s handled everything very very well!!!! She’s great with my dog Coco, very good at communicating with me about anything! I love the texts she writes and the pictures!! Thank you for taking such good care of her!”

“Shana is the BEST! She took wonderful care of our pup, checking in on him, walking him, playing with him. We received regular notes and updates on activity, feeding and behavior. I couldn’t be happier with our services from Shana. Thank you Shana!”

“Makayla went above and beyond! Her schedule didn’t completely align with the times that I had requested. She made extra visits to make sure the girls had been taken care of. Our girls looked happy and tired. She not only made sure they everyone had been fed, potties and exercised, she also played with them inside and outside the house.”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats, both owned and fostered and all different sizes! We also have 2 large pups who love to play with other dogs. I am comfortable and familiar with administering medication or whatever your animal may need with clear instructions. I work remote several days a week so I have flexibility to check in on or walk your animals! I am also available on weekends for check ins if planned in advance. I have a fenced in yard and 2 active pups. I will typically not offer in-home care unless there are meet and greets first, as we have a little one in the home.
“Presley did a great job sitting for our 3 aging dogs. She has great attention to detail and asked great questions when running through our pets’ routine and instructions. She’s reliable and great about sending visit updates and pictures. Would highly recommend and will definitely be utilizing her services again!”

“Kristin is prompt, professional, and provides detailed notes about each visit including pictures, which we greatly appreciate. She genuinely cares about our girls and ensures they get plenty of TLC when she visits.”

“Krista came over to meet HiShawn before our trip. It took a minute but he did warm up to her. When she started to leave he started whining. He’s never done that before. Krista and HiShawn got along splendidly! Thank you, Keista”

I raised and trained my 3 year old pup and can carry on any training with your pup when they are here. I work a full-time remote job so I will be home all day to tend to your dogs needs. I have a 3 year old dog named Finley that I regularly walk before and after work, care for and make treat puzzles for during the day, and I have a very pet friendly home. I am flexible to carry out your dogs routine to make sure they feel right at home! I have a large fenced yard and my own dog to keep your pup company. I can crate your dog when needed or let them roam the house and make themselves comfortable. I always have all food and any hazards out of reach so the pups can’t get into any trouble!
“Megan took care of our 2 cats for 11 days and they couldn’t have been in better hangs. Her communication was clear and complete And she sent plenty of photos. She also took care of a few packages that were important to us. Definitely recommend. Hope was get to use her again soon.”

“Mia has been superior for us. Not only did she take an hour to meet and greet with us, she leaves great notes, is prompt, helped us in a pinch on late notice, and puts up with our two puppies antics. Would recommend Mia for any dog sitting. She impressed us with her knowledge of dogs and puppies.”

“Simran is awesome! She responded quickly, was very accommodating, and clearly loves and understands cats. We were amazed to receive numerous photos of Oliver from her visits. He is extremely shy and hides from anyone he doesn't know, so the fact that he came out from under the bed for Simran says a lot!”

“We were so thankful for Alyssa being able & willing to take care of our fur-babies on short notice. She took plenty of time beforehand to see what we needed and to visit with our pets and us. She gained the trust of our fearful dog quickly, which we were happy to see! Everything was done as requested, we enjoyed the photos, and the house and pets looked great when we got home! We also appreciated her joyful personality and her open communication! We would call on Alyssa again!”

“Kristy and her two daughters were so amazing taking care of my two cats! I was gone for a week and they visited everyday and left me detailed notes about my cats eating habits and their activity and their general demeanor! They always attached more than one photo which i really valued because i love seeing my sweet cats happy and well cared for! I will definitely book with them again in the future and i recommend them to anyone looking for great care!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
