“We dropped our Bonz off on Thursday afternoon and they steadily send us pictures until we got home 3 days later. We messaged a few times to check on him and no response was usually accompanied with a photo. I think he enjoyed his stay. Thank you”

“Brook was an absolute lifesaver for my dog and me! From our first introduction, it was clear she genuinely cares about animals. She took the time to get to know my dog’s personality, routines, and even his little quirks. While I was away, Brook sent sweet updates and adorable pictures that made me smile and feel totally at ease. My dog came home happy, relaxed, and full of energy—he obviously had a blast with her! If you want someone who treats your dog like family, Brook is the best choice out there!”

“My dog looked well cared for when I picked her up. Xander sent me photos of my dog enjoying herself while I was gone. I would definitely consider him again if I needed a dog sitter.”

“We have used Kari and Clint several times and we always have a great experience! Theyre great about sending us pictures and updates of our pups and they always seem to have a great time!”

“We are so grateful for Joseph and his family for their care in watching our dog, Jack. On the day we were to drop Jack off to Joseph, Jack had an accident where she required veterinary care. Joseph was still willing to accept Jack and administer antibiotics and pain medication for a week while we were traveling. Joseph sent daily pictures and provided updates so we felt more at ease. Joseph and his entire family show care and love when Jack really needed it. I fully recommend them. Thank you.”

“I can't say enough great things about Bobbie! She was flexible with respect to my travel plans (in terms of my departure and return from Tallahassee), and her love for animals is obvious. Her house and yard provided the right amount of space for my seven-year-old border collie mix, and the pictures that Bobbie sent during his stay made it clear that he was well cared for. I highly recommend booking with Bobbie!”

“Couldn’t ask for a better sitter! I don’t have to worry about a thing when my dog stays. They are trustworthy, kind, polite, keeps me consistently updated. Top notch I know Mollie will miss staying when we move away in the future.”

“Tosha does such a great job with our dog!! She gives us frequent updates and photos. She is extremely quick to respond and is also flexible with scheduling! She is amazing to work with!”

“We had a planned trip and had never used a dog sitter before (just a traditional kennel) and we had a new puppy and a rescue senior we were worried about them feeling abandoned…..so we searched thru many people on Rover and found Deborah and Jeffrey….and were so glad we did! They were perfect! They treated our fur babies like they were at a resort and made sure they were having their own vacation with full house access (of their house!) We got full low down on everyone’s adventure. You can truly tell they love doggies and what they do!! We will definitely use them again!!!!!! Thanks guys!!”

“Everything went really well, Dita was really flexible and always sent us many updates and pictures which we really appreciated. Snickers seems to have enjoyed herself as well :)”

“Jennifer did such an amazing job with our 2 pups! One of them ended up with an ear infection the first day we dropped off and she took such great care of him, even buying him some drops for relief. She was so great at communicating and I could tell she gave them so much love while we were away!”

“We are return customers as my dog loves it over Keith’s house. I know he’s well cared for and gets plenty of exercise. Keith does an excellent job with communication. This is a no worries boarding :)”

“Haylie was so wonderful to work with! She sent me updates and pictures throughout my trip and allowed me to extend Seeley's stay with her family on short notice when we had some unexpected issues. This was his second time staying with Haylie, and I am sure it won't be his last!”

“Life recently has left me with just my dog and I. We have not been separated at all since she first came into my life 2 years ago. So leaving her in the care of anyone has been extraordinarily difficult. Whitney is so very sweet and so caring and sent so many pictures keeping me in touch and updated made it so much easier. I highly recommend her she takes care of your furry friend like family.”

“We are a rescue that was transporting a Foxhound, pulled from a high-skill shelter in SC to our rescue in SE Minnesota. We were unable to secure a volunteer to do overnight boarding for our girl Charlene. I was apprehensive but, I did a search on Rover.com for an overnighter in the Greensburg IN area. Kayla W appeared. I asked the questions, she responded. It was a late drop-off and an early pick-up; no problem, Kayla could and did accommodate us. This woman is top-notch. She is professional, informational and kept us apprise of rescued girl- Charlene. We will definitely be booking with Kayla W again. Thank you for an awesome, first-time experience. Dianne”

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
100% of Rushville sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Rushville landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Rushville home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Rushville.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Rushville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
