“We had a last minute request for Malu to watch our pup. She ecstatically agreed and was so great with communication. She gave us daily updates with photos of how happy and content our dog was doing. He looked like he was well loved and very much enjoyed his stay. We're looking forward to the next time we can bring him to stay at Malu's! Thank you so much! I would highly recommend!”

“Maegan and her daughter were fabulous! I was worried my dog might be a lot to handle. Maegan assured me she was familiar with the breed I have. Updates and pictures were sent. I could see my dog was attaching herself to Maegan’s daughter. And I knew she was getting a lot of attention. It was great!”

“Lillyann took the very best care of our most precious fur babies! She was very responsive, sent frequent updates, the furries were relaxed and comfortable at home. Highly recommend!”

“Patrick was really patient with (Sarge) my bloodhound and kept me updated with photos and texts. Sarge wasn’t feeling well and Patrick took good care of him! Thank you again for keeping Sarge company while I was gone!”

“Holly and Brad were amazing. It was our first time using a dog sitter who wasn't family, but they were very patient with us, and our dogs who can be on the shy side. They gave us daily updates with pictures which the kids really enjoyed. We will definitely use them in the future.”

“paula + chad are just … the best. there’s no other way to say it. they’re sweet, thoughtful, share a great energy, and easy to trust. i could tell right away my dog was super comfortable with them and going to have a great long weekend! they were super communicative and can tell they truly enjoyed hanging with him all weekend :) will 1000% turn to them again next time i need some help with wayne!!”

“Chealsea and her family took great care of Molly. With her kids and dogs, we never doubted that Molly would have plenty of entertainment while we were off on our vacation. Having Molly spend that time with a family, instead of being locked up in a kennel, is why we’re such big fans of Rover. Chealsea and the job she and her family did in provided for and caring for Molly was just what we were looking for.”

“Erik and his family took such good care of Brodie. I have never boarded Brodie before and was a little nervous, but Erik immediately eased my nerves with a friendly welcome and consistently sending me pictures, videos, and updates on Brodie. Thank you so much Erik! :)”

“Donovan was a great sitter for our Moxie’s extended boarding! He and his family were very welcoming, the nature surrounding the walks seemed to provide great stimulation for our pup, and Donovan sent plenty of photo updates every day. Would definitely book him again in the future!!”

“100/10. No notes. Absolute perfection. As a sitter myself I couldn’t ask for a better stay for my two girls. Nikki was extremely communicative and proactive in sending updates, pics, and video while we were away. Will be rebooking again without a doubt.”

“Grant and Ashley are awesome dog sitters. JJ loves staying at their house and playing with their dog Finn. He gets to go on walks and I get photo updates every day. Highly recommended! I’d give them 6 stars if I could 😊”

About: Ever since a kid I've had the instinct to befriend every animal I've ever seen, yes that means mice too, literally everything. I've grown to believe that animals deserve the love that we think we deserve and more, and I am fully under the influence that my purpose is to provide that love with every opportunity I get! I just graduated high school, and has nothing but time and love to give to animals. I've taken care of dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, hedgehogs, you name it. I can stop by on weekdays anytime after 11:00 am-11:00 pm to feed, walk, and care for any pets. On the weekends I can do anytime between 9:00 am- 10:00pm, walk, feed, stay for periods of time, and care for any pets. Although, some weekends I head up to college station to visit friends and family that prohibit me from certain activities, but can work around them. Every pet shows/needs love in their own way, some are shy and need space, while others need attention at all times, and the most important thing to do is recognize and respect their needs while also balancing providing for what they need. As a sitter your pet will be given a loving and caring environment ensure they have and get what they need.
“My dog was so happy at Christine’s house! She sent pictures and updates and it was so obvious that she is great with animals. It’s hard to leave a family member with someone new but I felt like she was in great hands and the way my dog loved on her when we left reinforced how great the experience was. Thanks so much, Christine!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Round Mountain home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Round Mountain.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Round Mountain sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
