“Jaideep was very communicative and easily accommodated my early morning drop off and pick up. He sent pictures of Sasha looking very content during her stay with him, and kept me updated on everything. I’m just passing through the area, but if you’re local to Harrisburg, PA then definitely book him!”

“Crystal is not only patient, loving, and caring for our kitties, she also provides great peace of mind for us in being so flexible in arranging drop off and pick up times for our fur buds but also in adjusting to the eve changing medical requirements for our special kitty!”

About: I've been pet sitting since i was 13, I am currently 19 with a dog and cat of my own! I've taken care of seniors as-well as puppies. I've potty trained, taught tricks, and have done special care when needed. I love to go on long hikes and bring my dog with me! I go on walks about 3 times a day, as my dog is very active. Feel free to ask me questions! I would love to watch your pup. :) I'm available for pet sitting any day of the week at any times! I can handle seniors aswell as active dogs. I would love to spend time with your pup. I have one super friendly dog that loves to play and gets along great with cats. I go on 3 walks a day with my pup. She is very active and friendly. Your pup will be able to relax and also get the outside time they need. I have a big fenced in backyard perfect for running around and playing.
“Erin was a phenomenal dog sitter! She was very responsive, provided daily updates, and took such good care of my dog Rosie. Rosie was so happy and was well socialized which is exactly what she needed. Will definitely be taking Rosie back to Erin in the future!”

“We had such a great experience with Rosa. Upon meeting her, she had such a warm approach towards watching animals. And when she met our Baxter, it was just the same. While we were away, she sent us pictures of him to give my wife and myself comfort that we made the right decisions. She also abided by our food parameters for Baxter's health. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to leave their pet in good hands.”

“Deanna was an amazing dog boarder. She was extremely responsive to all communications and flexible in accommodating any changes. Spencer and Mia had a blast and settled right into a safe, welcoming, and loving home. Deanna sent copious amounts of picture and video updates. Deanna will absolutely be first on my list of boarders if we return to Lewisburg.”

“Amanda was extremely helpful, attentive, and reliable when we needed to board our doggie, Gastón. She was flexible in us bringing homemade food for the 4 days Gastón would be staying with her and she gave me all of his things back in pristine condition. On the evening of our pickup, our flight was delayed by close to 1 hour, which pushed back our pickup time. She was extremely understanding when we communicated this with her. We offered to pick him up the next morning, but she shared that she is fine with us picking him up late that evening, which we definitely really appreciated! Also, Gastón gets dirty faster than other breeds, but Amanda kept him clean and he came back to us in the same condition we brought him at the start of boarding. Last but not least, Amanda shared updates with us for all 4 days, sending us photos of our lovebug and letting us know how he was doing that day. It relieved a lot of anxiety for us while we were away. We are extremely grateful for all the careful attention Amanda paid to our pup and will definitely be leaving Gastón with her again!”

About: Animals have always been the light of my life. Ive been a veterinary assistant for almost 5 years and i will be able to care, love and understand each and every pet individually but love them all the same. I work at a vet hospital for at least 30 hours a week but would love to squeeze in some extra hours taking care of more fur babies! Respecting the home of clients while keeping a fun and positive environment for the fur babies! I would even go an extra mile to making sure the environment is nice&clean for client's return
“So grateful to Laura and her family for providing such wonderful care of our boy orso. She made an exception to take him in when our prior plans fell thru. We had such peace of mind knowing Orso was in such good hands while we were away. She ensured he ate, played and enjoyed his time while we were gone”

“Becky always takes care of my dog with as if he is hers. During this visit my dog got sick and she alerted me immediately and was able to triage the issue carefully watching and comforting him. I trust Becky 100% to care for my dog while I’m away and know that he’ll get the attention and love from her like he’d get from me.”

About: I’ve taken care of cats for 16+ years, my dog for 7 years and counting, and I briefly worked at Canine Clubhouse for almost 2 months. I am available for dog sitting, doggy daycare, and cat sitting since I am a stay at home mom to my 2 amazing boys and I have 1 dog and 2 cats. At home my cats are grazers and eat when they want to and my dog gets fed twice a day with a mix of dry and wet food and has to be let outside on a leash because our backyard is not currently fenced in.
“Very welcoming & made my fur baby feel right at home! Communication was prompt and received updates with photos. Above & beyond service. Will definitely book again and refer to others. Thank you!”

“Late review: Dannette was wonderful with my two boys and took great care of them. They were happy, tired, and semi-excited to see me when I picked them up. I’d definitely recommend!”

“This was my first time leaving my 8yo pitbull lab mix Maui Wowie with a non-family member and it went off without a hitch! Sandra has a fantastic rural property that any dog will love. Maui LOVED hanging outside and the fun day-to-day activities Sandra and her family provided. Sandra treated my dog just like family.”

“Diba and her roommate were lovely guardians for my pup. They kept me informed while I was away and my dog obviously loved being in their home. I am very grateful to have found them and now have a safe caring environment to board her when needed. Highly recommended!”

“So my dog stayed for the first time this past weekend. He was well taken care of and I got daily photos and updates on him. I already booked another boarding with her for both of my dogs. I love the pick up and drop off service. It’s so convenient when you’re traveling to not have to worry about dropping your pets off or picking them up after a vacation. This is a great addition to her services.”

About: I am available all day every week and weekend. I am a very big dog lover and am kind hearted. I enjoy being outside and love being with furry friends. I am recently unemployed. I have had a lot of experience with dogs and grew up with multiple puppies. I lost a large amount of weight in Highschool from walking with my family dog twice everyday, throughout the summer and fall seasons. I believe greatly that animals need to be exercised everyday in order to live a full and happy life. With a willing to travel far distances and the ability to work with all breeds I hope to be a good choice for anyone who needs a dog sitter or dog walker. Thank you.
“Chris and Dale were great with Lulu. She had a great time playing with their dog Charlotte and she looked very happy. They sent us pictures during the whole visit and we communicated a lot, which gave us a lot of piece of mind. They are animal lovers and took care of Lulu with a lot of patience and we appreciate that. Thank you for everything and we will use this boarding again.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Rough and Ready home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Rough and Ready.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Rough and Ready sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
