About: I grew up helping my parents in many dog rescue efforts, fostering, shelter volunteering, and our own adoptions! I have owned dogs of all shapes and sizes, with all different kinds of special needs tailored to them. Until recently, I lived in Northern Virginia. There, I worked at the Dogtopia of Springfield as a Canine Coach since July of last year. Here, I have gained a lot of experience in both day and overnight care. Additionally, I became Pet CPR and First Aid Certified. Now that I have moved back home, I am ready to provide my services to my home community! I currently have changing availability, however, any days I could not do will be marked off on my availability calendar. Overall, my schedule is rather open and I would be willing to make arrangements! I will treat your home with upmost respect to ensure the best experience possible! I am here for your pet(s), and this will remain my #1 focus on the job.

About: I have been a dog lover all of my life and know how important their care is. Dogs are just part of the family! I love getting to know each dogs personality and figure go above and beyond to consider the needs of a variety of pups. I have a flexible schedule allowing me to provide constant care for your pup. I am interested in meeting and caring for all types of dogs, big/small, puppy or seniors! I can be as flexible as possible and will be honest about your pup’s care. I will treat your fur-babes like part of the family. We have a fenced in yard and If your pup is more comfortable as part of the pack, they are invited in to have the run of the house with our family dogs. We love dogs and will try to accommodate any special requests. Available to check in on your pups every 4 hours (m-f) and spend weekends all day with your dogs! I can check in with your pups every 3-4 hours during the day and be there to stay after 4 pm. I prioritize feeding and potty schedules to make sure there are little to no changes in their routines. I care for your pets like they are my own. Figuring out they’re behaviors and personalities is important to me. Some dogs need lots of love and attention and others like their space, either way they’ll be in great hands.

About: What sets me apart is the level of love, patience, and personalized care I give every pet. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and needs so they feel comfortable and safe while you’re away. I’m experienced with puppies who need consistency, potty breaks, playtime, and basic routine reinforcement, as well as senior pets who may need a gentler pace, extra patience, medication support, or additional comfort. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet parents always know their furry family members are happy and well cared for. I’m able to help out on Monday-Friday or Saturdays and Sundays. Let me know what fits your needs and I will be more then happy to accommodate! I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Especially in their own home. About: Hi! I'm a passionate pet sitter with professional experience working in both a boarding kennel and a veterinary clinic. During my time at the kennel, I cared for pets of all ages—from young puppies and kittens to senior pets—and worked with a wide variety of breeds, personalities, and energy levels. I also have experience caring for pets with medical conditions and special needs, including administering medications and providing attentive, individualized care. Working in a veterinary clinic has further strengthened my knowledge of animal health and behavior, allowing me to recognize when a pet may need extra attention and provide confident, compassionate care. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I'll treat them like one of my own. My goal is to keep your pets happy, safe, and comfortable while giving you peace of mind with regular updates and photos throughout my visits. 🐾 I currently work full time at the veterinary clinic but I can pop in multiple times a day to check on your furry friend(s) or I can also stay the night at your house 😊 When caring for your furry friends in their home, my goal is to keep them comfortable, safe, and on their normal routine as much as possible. I provide feeding, fresh water, walks, litter box or potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of companionship and attention based on each pet’s personality and needs. I also have experience working in both a veterinary clinic and a boarding kennel, so I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages, breeds, and temperaments, including those with medical conditions or special care instructions. I understand that pets feel most secure in their own environment, so I take the time to make them feel calm and cared for while you’re away. I can administer medications if needed and will closely follow any instructions you provide to ensure their health and well-being. During each visit, I’ll also check that everything is safe and in order in your home, and I’ll provide regular updates with photos and messages so you always know how your pets are doing. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your furry family members are in caring, capable hands. 🐾

About: I have always been a animal lover since little and still am today. I have taken care of families pets while they away for several years. I have own my own fur babies that I adore. My friends and family relied on me to walk and feed, and watch their pets often. The last 6 months I have been taken care of a Family GoldenPoddle and I love every bit of it. I'm currently working remote so my schedule is flexible. I open to care for your pets in your home or in my home. Most of the time, I will just need 24 hr heads up before I can commit to date . I have a pet friendly neighborhood with designated pet areas. I live in a safe and quiet neighborhood with sidewalks. During my 6 months with my family dog , all of the people in the area loved saying hi to the pets I care for.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
