About: My husband and I have been dog owners for many years. We recently lost our Yorkie, Sage, at age 12 to cancer. We decided to not get another dog at this time, but would love to be a pet sitter for your precious pup. Both my husband and I are retired and have regular availability. One of us is home at most times. We would require to meet your pup before the stay to ensure good compatibility. We would walk your dog on a leash. Our yard is large, but not fenced. Easy access for potty breaks. We will have open access to our home unless crating is your preference.

About: I enjoy having dogs, and started using this website when I went out of town. Because of this, I know the high standard of care I expect from my sitter, and what you should expect too. I will take the time and care you would for your own dog. I'll give them snuggles, playtime, and lots of outside time depending on the crazy weather we have here of course. Myself and my doggy friends love to take walks, play tug-of-war, fetch and other games your dog enjoys or might enjoy. If your dog comes to our house we have a fully enclosed backyard. It is a great big yard enough to play fetch with a few dogs at the same time. Some just like to sun bathe and watch everyone else run around. Your dogs will have so much fun, and will be well loved while they are here. When my doggie friends come back for a visit the owners tell me the dogs are excited when they turn down my street. I have a Yorkie named Jack, and 3 mini Bernedoodles named Elenor, Dahlia, and Franklin. I am not taking unneutered or unspayed dogs at this time. I have lots of available hours to spend with your pets. My schedule is consistent usually, but fairly open. In the past, I was walking dogs. Not sure if I am going to start doing that or not. I have a fenced in yard and 4 dogs to keep your dog company. We can play in the yard or hang out in the house. I have lots of toys and balls.

About: I have taken care of animals my whole life. Family and friends have relied on me for decades to take care of their animals. Growing up on a farm helped give me a lifelong affinity for animals. I’m a teacher who is off all summer. I have plenty of time to fill and would love to look after your animals, either in my home, as a drop in, or just a walk. About: Upfront: For housesitting: I do work midnights. I would be away from about 10/10:30pm until 7:30/8am. LSometimes I can rearrange things given enough notice. I'm 50 years old, and have mostly owned pit bull breed dogs, but I love all breeds. From 2010 to 2018, my APBT was trained as a therapy animal, we did hospital visits and library events with children. I taught him several tricks, such as left, right, speak, play dead. My current pit is a rescue and I am off leash training. Dog Walking: I work in the Kankakee area, so coming to walk your dog in Kankakee, Bradley, Bourbonnais, is NO problem! Either in the mornings (after 7am) and/or later in the evenings (8ish pm) it's all negotiable. I live in Iroquois county, so I have more availability to walk your dog if you are in that area. Pet Sitting: I can come to sit in your home, if that is preferred. I am also available to just come let them outside, spend time and play, feed, water, clean up. Boarding: I would love to open our home to your precious babies. Non smoking, fenced in yard, lots of walks in my small town. My dog friendly pup can't wait to play tag around the dining room table. All pets are welcome on the couches and have full access to the entire 1st floor, including the bed in the spare room. My husband and I work different shifts, so someone is usually always home. A maximum of 3 to 4 hours of an occasional overlap in shifts. I am able to crate your pet if preferred, or close off access to half of the living space. Before boarding, a few meet and greets are necessary. More details as we move forward. Cats: I will help with your cats, spending time, play, feed, clean litter boxes. I also have several years of experience with birds. I know how important socializing is to birds, and leaving them alone can cause problems and stress. Boarding of cats and birds can be discussed. I also grew up around our family Westie & German Shepard in my home that were super attached to me. So I am very attentive to a dogs need for love and care when away from the owner. Also first time guests and last minute requests must schedule a meet and greet I use to be flexible with this but situations have happened that caused me no longer be flexible. In addition I do not accept any pets without a safe reliable comfortable crate. As I do not allow free roaming in my home when I am not present. Your pet safety is my top priority. Being in a new environment for the first time pets will be pets. They aren’t perfect. Feel free to ask me any questions if need be. If you are Sending me a message I assume you have read everything i have written here from start to finish. **(For example old pictures of pet only to arrive and they are 3 times the size) - 100% we have to have a meet n greet prior to sitting. Returning customers the meet and greet does not apply. For last minute requests please contact me directly I will try my best to accommodate but please be advised there may be a fee associated depending on the circumstance. Especially if there is no time to set up a meet n greet and I’m only going off photos. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
