“My 2 poodles had a stay for the weekend, I was nervous since this was their first stay but Rachel assured me everything will be fine and it definitely was! One of my dogs got a small injury when dropping off and she was quick to jump into action and take care of it!! She kept me updated with daily pictures throughout their stay. My babies have a new best friend with Raven and can’t wait to go back!! I highly recommend her and her services & will be using her for future stays!!”

About: I've been a dog and cat mother for most of my life. I've cared for other animals for sometimes weeks at a time with no injuries! You can trust me with your most loved family members and with your home if needed. I can be available as needed by your pet. I am not currently working. I am happy to drive up to 60 miles each way. I would appreciate an additional gas allowance. If I keep your animal in my home, you should know that I have a Rottweiler. She is very friendly and loves other animals, but she's never been exposed to an aggressive animal. I have a cat who does not like other animals, but I will have no problems keeping her separate from your animal. I have a fenced in backyard and I enjoy walking over 10,000 steps a day so your animal has options for exercise with me.
“Ariana was great in assisting Kingston and I with a last minute request. I was so glad she was available and able to help after our plan failed. She updated us everyday by sending messages and pictures of Kingston which helped us feel at ease”

“Aja was great! I’m always anxious at first when I leave my dog on trips because he is shy in new environments. Luckily Aja was very reassuring and responded right away whenever I asked how he was doing. I am very grateful that I received plenty of photos, videos, and detailed updates that showed he was still playing and having fun with her dogs. Thank you so much!”

“Kristin is amazing! My boys love her and are always excited to see her. She is so accommodating and does anything she can to make us easier on you! Her communication is great. When I leave with my boys with her, I don’t ever have to worry. I highly recommend !”
“Absolutely a wonderful experience with Holly taking care of our dogs while we were away for a week. Our dogs loved staying at Holly's. One of our dogs takes awhile to warm up with new people. He did so well with her he acted like he was at home. We will definitely use Holly again.”

“Sweetest couple to keep our fur baby for the night. Teresa sends great pictures and keeps you updated about how your pet is doing. So glad I found them to watch our Jaxx!”

“I can tell my girls had a GREAT week with Kaitlyn — when I picked them up they were bathed and smelling GOOD and almost INSTANTLY went to sleep in the car, and I live only a few blocks away! ?? Very communicative and kept me posted. Will definitely be booking again in the future!”
“What a fantastic family!!! I am so grateful we found Brittnee to care for our babies at the last minute. They were so well taken care of and I can’t thank her enough ❤️ It made our trip so relaxed knowing my babies were having a great time themselves. Thank you!!!!”

“Darcy took such great care of our 110 pound St Bernard mix. She sent pictures and updates frequently, she offered to bathe him, and he was happy when we came to pick him up. I accidentally mixed up which date we would return and she was flexible and able to keep him an extra night. I absolutely recommend Darcy and would rebook with her.”

About: I’ve been around and caring for dogs for as long as I can remember, and caring for animals has always been a passion of mine. My dream has always been to open a rescue of my own one day! I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds, from Yorkies to Dobermans. I’ve owned my GSP who stays at my moms house, since she was a puppy and house-trained her myself, so I’m experienced with the patience, consistency, and care that puppies require. I also help care for my mom’s 12-year-old dog, which has given me experience caring for older dogs as well. I’m comfortable with dogs of different personalities and energy levels, and I truly treat every pet like family. I am currently in college and not working so i have plenty of time to care for your pups! I am available Mondays and Wednesdays after 10:45 and Tuesdays and Thursdays after 2:15! My weekends are clear! I am very responsible and will make sure that your fur baby is loved, fed, has water, and has plenty of exercise and play time! I love all animals and take very good care of my pets and others!
“Joyce has been a special home away from home for Leo!!! He loves spending time with Ms Joyce and staying over. He feels at home and is loved on as much with her as with us at home. Upon arrival he gets very excited to see Ms Joyce. It's wonderful to have such love and care for Leo when I am away. Leo has been cared for twice by Ms Joyce and he will be returning to his home away from home.”

“Savannah was Great with my babies. They did a meet and Greet before actually staying and they loved all on her. Savannah sent pics and kept me updated on how they were doing. My babies were very happy on the pics. I highly recommend Savannah and will be using her again. Thanks again😊”

“Oh my goodness words can't describe how grateful I am for Amy. I love how she took care of my baby like he was her own. I received pictures and updates several times a day. If you are in the area and need a sitter for your baby please contact her. I don't want to share her because she is so INCREDIBLE but I will lol.”

About: Hi! I’m a loving and dependable dog person with plenty of hands-on experience caring for pups with all kinds of personalities and needs. 🐶❤️ I have experience caring for dogs with allergies and special care needs, giving dog baths, and keeping up with hyperactive, high-energy dogs who need lots of attention, playtime, and patience. I’ve also spent plenty of time around Labradors, so I understand just how energetic, loving, and sometimes mischievous they can be! I’m also a proud dog owner myself and currently have two dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your fur babies. I treat every dog like they’re part of my own family and will make sure they receive plenty of love, attention, exercise, and care while you’re away. 🐾 Your pets’ comfort and safety are always my top priority. 💕🐕 I work Monday–Friday from 8 AM–5 PM, but my fiancé is home at times throughout the day and can let the dogs out when needed. We also have two dogs of our own, so we understand how important it is to make sure your pup is comfortable, cared for, and never left without attention for too long. We’ll treat your dog like one of our own and make sure they get the care, love, and potty breaks they need while you’re away! ❤️🐶 We love on the back of family property so there is ample amount of space to run around and play. However we do also have a fenced in yard for the one who like to explore!
“Jennifer took such great care of my pups during their 8 day stay! This was our first trip away from them and we knew they were in great hands based on our previous daycare experiences with her. She sent us pictures and videos, kept us updated, and was always available. She is fantastic with anxious dogs (my boy is scared of everything) and treats them all like her own. She’s awesome and our #1 sitter from now on!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Roseland home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Roseland.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Roseland sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
