“Rocky loves Erica. She's consistent and does really well with bigger dogs. Rocky loves the sunshine and she gives him time in the sunshine on Sunny days. People in my neighborhood have approached me that I've never met saying, "Hey, Rocky." Erica has given Rocky attention and helped introduce him to his neighbors! She's great, I and highly recommend her. ”

About: Growing up on a farm, I had the opportunity to care for a wide variety of animals, from livestock to household pets. This hands-on experience, combined with my background in fisheries and wildlife biology, has given me a deep understanding of animal care. Over the years, friends and family have trusted me to look after their pets, knowing I treat every animal with the same love and attention I give my own. As a devoted dog owner, I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pets, and I’d be delighted to provide that same level of care for yours. I currently work Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the flexibility of working from home about 75% of the time. This gives me decent availability depending on my schedule. I’m fully available Friday through Sunday to care for any furry friends in need. During the week, I can accommodate early morning drop-ins before 7:00 AM and late drop-ins after 3:30 PM, depending on my availability. I own a home in a safe, pet-friendly neighborhood with easy access to multiple hiking trails and beaches, perfect for outdoor adventures. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and am comfortable handling walks of any length or activity level. Most importantly, I care deeply about your pet’s safety, whether I’m caring for them in your home or taking them out for a walk.

About: I have extensive experience taking care of cats, dogs, and chickens, but am open and excited to take care of all pets. I am new to Rover, but have completed over 40 sits through TrustedHousesitters watching many dogs, cats, and kittens, ranging from weekend sits to entire months and have been pet sitting full time for 1 and a half years. I have watched dogs and cats of all ages and have experience administering medication (including insulin, pills, liquid). I also have experience with a variety of farm animals as I watched an entire farm by myself including goats, sheep, turkeys, rabbits, cats and dogs. In addition to my recent experience through TrustedHousesitters, I have had many house/pet sitting gigs throughout the years. I periodically watched my housemates cat in college. I grew up dog sitting my family friend's dog and cat sitting for a couple of different families. I also nannied for 4 years, and have experience looking after houses, cleaning, and keeping my clients homes in great condition. I am originally from California, but my home base is Portland, OR. My favorite activities include running, hiking, and anything outdoorsy. I am a marathon runner and I have completed 6 marathons so far and have run numerous half marathons. I also really like exploring, traveling and trying new food and coffee places. I love to house/pet sit because it gives me the opportunity to be around cute pets and make some extra income as I recently moved back to Portland after taking a gap year. I have 3.5 years of experience working remotely in the medical communications field and I am a UC Davis alumni. While caring for your pet and home, I will be available on my cell and will text picture updates, so you can feel at ease while you are away and will be sure to give your pet plenty of cuddles and love.

Dogs are always welcome in my current household and I am excited to meet, play, watch after and bond with your canine companion! I have a 7 year old border collie of my own named Sky at home in Massachusetts. I have a lot of experience in training my dog to sit and lay down using treats. I'm currently working four, ten hour days Monday through Thursday. Which means I am available friday through sunday to take care of, walk, or sit your dog! When taking care of pets in my home, I make sure to give them the proper attention and care that they need. “Meg is awesome. She will treat your furry friend like her own (which is to say very, very good)”

About: I’ve always enjoyed taking care of animals … most of my experience comes from dogs … I have worked around a lot of huskies . I used to help give dog sled tours to cruise ship tourists in Alaska. I have experience w older dogs that have been my own … So my house address says seaside Oregon . However , im a traveling nurse aid that works in nursing homes…. I work in Vancouver, and centralia mostly right now .. I work night shift mostly and I just want to find some dogs to walk during my time off rather than sit in my hotel .. I’m not taking dogs to board at this moment. I’m looking to just walk dogs or do a drop in visit as needed throughout the day.

“Amazing! Thanks again.”

About: I’ve owned animals since I was 10 and have cared for friends animals while they have been on travel. My animals are my family and are treated as such. I recently retired early and have time to spend at home with animals. Lots of land for exercise and all pets stay inside with me. I live on six acres with two dogs, two mini donkeys, a goat and a horse. The entire property is fenced with a barn and shelter for large animals.

About: My family has had many kinds of pets since I was a kid. We often took in injured animals and nursed them back to health. We got a Chihuahua when I was 15, I'm now 30 and she recently passed away. Her name is Teka and she was my baby. We had her for 15 years. I own my own business so I can work literally whenever I want. My schedule is completely malleable. I can easily shape my work schedule around anything. Also please note if you hire me for house sitting, my beloved will go with me, she is exceptionally gifted with animals. I can take your dog out literally any time, and for any length of time. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I also have plenty of cuddles.

About: I have lived my entire life alongside dogs and have cared for dogs through each stage of dog life: newborns and post-partum moms, puppies, pregnant dogs, senior dogs, and dogs with special needs. I’ve cared for dogs big and small and am no stranger to cat-sitting either. I recently put down my senior maltipoo, Daisy, whom I cared for for over 17 years since her birth. She was on a daily medication and vitamin regimen for her last 8 months. In her absence, I am eager to care for other beloved canines and felines. If you are looking for someone who loves animals and is committed to keeping your pet safe and comfortable, send me a message! I work a full time job (M-F) from home with flexible hours, so I have time to dote on your pet during the day and evenings. I am available for pet boarding, housesitting, pet drop-ins, and dog-walking during the weekdays and weekends. I can care for high-needs pets. If your pet requires extra TLC, let’s talk about it! I will let you know if I cannot accommodate your pet’s needs. Pets in my care receive personal attention and dedicated engagement. Wherever I am caring for your pet, I will do my best to ensure your baby is comfortable and safe. My home is a smoke-free, calm environment. When caring for pets in my home, I typically take dogs out for shorter stints multiple times a day (every 2-4 hours) to exercise and go potty, since I have a private yard and work from home. For pets in a client’s home, I typically take dogs out for longer periods of time less frequently (as appropriate for age and activity-level). I also offer add-on pet services, including teeth-brushing and bathing/brushing.

“I went out of the country for two weeks and had the luxury of having Catherine stay in my home while I was away. I met her and her partner; they are so genuine and kind, and I instantly felt so comfortable with them. I got photos of my cats, and little updates throughout my trip. Catherine left my home cleaner than I left it! I would 100% have Catherine come back and sit for me in the future.”

4. Alison S.
“Alison is my daughter and a Registered Nurse. She cares for her own pets just like with her patients, with patience and great care. I know her to be responsible and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her as a caretaker for your pet.”

5. Alex D.
“Dear Rover, I was blessed when Alexander Stanley was born as he had a smile on his face on that morning 21 years ago. He was born with the largest empathy & kindness bones of any little guy I knew. That hasn't changed at all through the years. Our sweet baby Sky Marie has been a favorite of Alex's due to the warmth and care he has shared with her since she came home 8.5 years ago. He loves to walk her in the woods and throw balls to Sky to go in swimming for. His grandparents had a large farm in central Mass. and Sky was always by his side. Alex was a powerful example while he led a team of life guard at our town pond, and as a permanent sub at the elementary school where he had attended. His former teachers were so proud of the way the kids took to him, and asked him to come back permanently. As a child Alex's dream was to have a German Shepard, train them to working guide and police dogs. Rover would be blessed to have Alex as their guide man. Please do call for pictures 617-480-8883 Thank you, Mary”

8. Jenny H.
“Jenny has been a dedicated dog enthusiast ever since I’ve known her. She takes her dog (or occasionally dogs) everywhere with here. She even lived in Alaska for several years so she could care and train sled dogs. Her present dog (Hatchi) is a rescue dog which was so traumatized it took her months before she would come into her house. Hatchi was very lucky to find Jenny. Jenny’s patience and dedication gave Hata new life.”

9. Courtney B.

“Amazing! Thanks again.”

10. Christopher S.
“I’ve known Chris for 15 years, and he’s had his own animals and taken very good care of mine. He loves dogs, cats, and even my pet pig. He’s had horses and donkeys and loves them all. He pays attention to their needs and follows vet recommendations when medications or treatments are necessary. He gives extra love to my big dog who just loves attention and treats. I’ve left my animals in his care many times and appreciate not having to worry about what’s happening. Whenever something cute or funny is going on, I’m sure to get a picture of it! I would recommend Chris to anybody needing loving care for their animals.”

12. Imani B.
“Your review already has a heartfelt tone, but a few tweaks can make it flow more smoothly and emphasize Imani's unique qualities. Here’s a refined version: Imani is truly one of the most compassionate animal lovers I’ve ever met. Her nurturing nature shines through in the 5-star care she provides. I had the privilege of witnessing her devotion firsthand as she cared for her beloved dog, Daisy, from the age of 12 until her final years. Imani’s attention to detail is remarkable—she’s patient, kind, and always goes the extra mile to ensure that the animals in her care receive the best possible treatment and have a lot of fun. Whether it’s selecting the healthiest foods, keeping up with grooming, or simply offering love and comfort, she is consistently thoughtful and attentive. I would wholeheartedly trust her with any pet!”
