“Chante did an excellent job and made us feel at ease while we were away from our cat. She followed our very specific instructions and went above and beyond making sure our cat’s room was even cleaner than when we left. Thank You!”

“Jessica did a wonderful job taking care of our 12-year-old Goldendoodle. She was incredibly conscientious, paying close attention to his routine and ensuring he was thoroughly cared for and comfortable. We highly recommend her!”

About: Welcome to my amaze-tacular Rover profile! So real quick, I've cared for or researched just about any domestic animal you can think of. Snakes? Love em. Spiders, don't like em, but I'll make sure they get their food and water while you're away. Goats, cows, sheeps, horses, you name it. Cats and dogs? I can walk em, bathe em, and trim their claws! If you need something taken care of, you can count on me! I love animals and I will handle them! Now, if you want a house-sitter during typical school time, I'm going to need a hard-core advance notice (minimum of 4 days), so I can work something out with my folks, as I live in the dorms with my cat, who is my ESA, so I can see about getting her to have a sleepover with them during the time you want me to stay with your animals. Once that's worked out, though, it's all good. However, outside of that, everything else is solid and needs minimal notice (except during finals time, though I might just block those out completely. I do get pretty stressed for finals). So if you want the girl that has all the knowledge and can and will do it all, give me a shout! I can do house sitting any time over the summer! During the school year, I'm more restricted. I can do pop-ins with advanced notice, and depending on holiday schedules, I can schedule house-sitting cares. I would love to say I could still house sit during school, but I do have my own cat, and she comes first, every time. During school, I live in a dorm with my cat as an ESA, and she always comes first. That is why, during school time, I'm not always able to do house-sitting. If I'm in a situation that my parents can take her, I will be able to work something out, but otherwise, no. She's my baby, the closest I'll ever come to having a child, so she's priority. When I am at your house taking care of your animals, it is the same regard. Those are your babies. I am watching them. I am taking care of them. I do not want any harm to come to them. I will not pull on them, I will not smack them, I will not hurt them.

About: I have been around dogs my whole life. I love both dogs and cats because of the personalities and differences they all have! I always strive to learn more about both dogs and cats due to them both being a major part of my life I currently work part time from Thursday- Saturday. I want to be more available for those long days where your pup needs some exercise throughout the day! I enjoy being apart of an environment that is fun for either the cat or dogs. Due to not having knowledge in housing other animals (and having a cat of my own) I am unable to assist in that way. But I will respect any home visit requirements when needed!
“I’m beyond thrilled I chose Mindy to help me with Bonnie while I was away for a few days. My Bonnie is a rescue that has severe anxiety. Mindy was patient and put in the hard work to help Bonnie trust her. Mindy was prompt and went above and beyond with her. It really showed me she genuinely loves animals. I work long hours throughout the week, I’ll definitely be using her again!! A GREAT BIG THANK YOU, MINDY!!”

Chante took her own time to do a meet and greet with my dog first! She took extra time with my dog at the park so that he could play and run off some extra energy! Chante’s reviews of the walk were extremely detailed and she sent pictures! I would 100% trust Chante to watch my dog again! 🥰

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
