“Bridget did a wonderful job watching River for us. We received lots of pictures, videos of him playing and running around the yard. Both her dogs are amazing and friendly. Definitely recommend her and will use her services again in future. Thanks River and family”

“Great couple to watch our pup. We wanted someone with a fenced in yard and other dogs to help socialize and tire our pup out and that’s exactly what we got. Our girl was happy to come back after the initial meet and greet and happy to book with them in the future.”

“Diane is so easy & reliable (& available) to work with. Our doggy just loves going to her house & playing with her dogs! Diane is very sweet. Plus, I love that she lets us know how Opie’s doing while we’re gone & sends us pictures!”

“She's amazing!! Super accommodating when my flight was delayed from the snow. She took great care of my pup and updated me frequently with a video or picture! She's a great petsitter!!”

“I felt totally at ease leaving our standard poodle with Andreja for a 4 day weekend. She sent photos of Ruby my dog, and I appreciated it and it gave me ease in leaving her. Totally trust her and would leave Ruby with her again. Vicki Hudak”

“Stephanie treated my dog like her own. She sent updates daily and returned all items washed. My dog felt very much at home! I highly recommend her and will definitely use her services again! Thank you.”

“I have two high energy beagles and Kelly took them on. She was even smiling when I picked them up. She kept me updated and included pictures. I will definitely have Kelly watch the dogs again and I am so grateful she was so good to them.”

“We had an excellent experience with our dog sitter! Sharon took wonderful care of our dogs and kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. One thing we especially appreciated was how reliably they administered our dog's medication exactly as instructed. It's not always easy to find someone you can trust with a pet's medical needs, and they handled it with care and professionalism. We came home to a happy, healthy, and well-cared-for dogs. We highly recommend them and will definitely book with them again!”

“Amanda, husband and kids were very sweet with Abhi! They got him a toy and made sure he was very safe! She even sent me sweet pics to ensure he was doing well! Thank you!”

About: I have been dog sitting for many, many years. My very well trained Labrador Retriever loves to have sleepovers and play dates with dog friends. I currently work from my home on Monday and Friday. I am 15 minutes from home on Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday. So I will be able to come home for lunch and let your fur baby out. I can board on weekends as well. I have a large fenced in back yard and a friendly lab to play with your fur baby. I can crate if your dog if needed.

About: I've taken care of animals since I was a kid and I love watching all animals. I groom, walk, train and reward them. I can handle stressful situations with many types of animals. Im currently working part time so there’s worry about my schedule I work around it easily. When scheduling I take into account my own animals as well and don’t take on more than I can handle. I take my 2 dogs for walks everyday they get baths when dirty and are very well trained. I handle fights and defiance camly and try to correct them without confusing them more or intensify the situation. I work with scared and timid cats and high energy cats. I love working with exotics and that’s my passion.
“I cannot recommend Ralph highly enough! From the moment we first met, it was clear that he has a genuine love for animals and an incredible ability to connect with him. Leaving my dog, Butters, in someone else’s care is never easy, but Ralph made the process completely stress-free and gave me total peace of mind. Throughout the entire stay, Ralph went above and beyond to ensure that Butters was happy, healthy, and loved. He kept me updated with regular photos, videos, and messages, which made me feel like I was still part of my pup’s day-to-day life. It was so heartwarming to see Butters smiling, playing, and clearly having the time of his life! When I returned, I could tell that Butters had been so well cared for—He was happy, relaxed, and clearly adored their time with Ralph. It was as if Butters had gone on a doggie retreat. I honestly think my dog misses him already! If you’re looking for someone who is reliable, trustworthy, and truly passionate about what they do, look no further than Ralph. He is a gem, and I feel so lucky to have found him. Thank you, Ralph, for treating Butters like your own and for giving me the confidence to leave my furry family member in your care. You are the best! 10/10, would absolutely book again!”

“Samantha was wonderful! So friendly, communicative, and clearly took great care of our dog, Finn. He’s 11 and can be a little finicky when staying somewhere new, and she even made him fresh eggs (his favorite breakfast topper) to encourage him to eat. She sent lots of photos, kept us updated, and made sure he got plenty of exercise and attention. We’re so happy to have found a great local sitter and hope she can watch him again!”

About: Dogs have always been a significant part of my life. I've gone through agility class, traveled around with them, and performed medical care as needed I retired about a year ago from the healthcare field. I am frequently available to care for dogs and cats in many situations and time frames I live in a complex with a doggie walk and a fenced in area. I can care for your pet at your home as well, and can walk and exercise them.
“Jessica was so kind to our (somewhat difficult) beagle and calmed all our nerves while we were away. She sent great updates and pictures. We were very very appreciative of how kind and thoughtful she was to our dog!”
“Megan took great care of our dog Ruthie while we were traveling for a week. This was our third time leaving our dog with Megan. I know Ruthie is treated like she’s part of the family when she’s at Megan’s. Thanks again!”

“Allison did a nice job watching our dogs. She communicated daily with an update and picture! Her fenced in backyard was great and my dogs had a large gated off area in her house to sleep.”

“Julie is amazing! The moment we met her and her family we knew we could trust her with Mamba (our fur baby)! You could see that he immediately felt comfortable in their home. He even barked at US when we came to pick him back up.. haha we had great communication throughout his stay with her and couldn’t wish for a better experience! I’m sure Mamba misses her already! Thank you again so so so much Julie for taking good care of our Baby. We will definitely book with Julie for his next stay. 10/10 !!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Rochester
This was the first time we used Rover, and we're so glad we did! We have two dogs- a sensitive old lady, and an energetic younger girl. Previously, we used traditional boarding kennels, and while the dogs were safe while we were away, it just wasn't a good fit for us. What a difference this experience was! We got daily pictures and videos, and the dogs looked almost happier with Robert than they were at home. It was evident that the girls were loved and thoroughly integrated into the family. They even allowed our sensitive dog to sleep with them. In addition, they gladly administered the twice daily medication that both girls need without fail or complaint. We are definitely going to be rebooking next year when we go on vacation, so I hope that they'll be available again.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
