While I am based in the Fraser Valley, I am willing to travel to the island as well, provided transportation arrangements are made and ferry fees are covered. As an introverted individual, I dedicate my time to staying home and engaging in activities such as reading, embroidering, and editing photos on my computer. This means I can be fully present for your pets and accommodate their needs. About: Animals are wonderful beings! They have a way of reminding us to slow down, be present and get outside. Having been without pets for quite a number of years, I am missing their presence in my life. I grew up with poodles, springer spaniels and terriers. I had two cats of my own (Ruth and Monica) and loved them dearly. I'm considering a move to a quieter (and more rural) part of Vancouver Island and am looking to explore some of the areas outside of Victoria and house/pet sitting is a great way to get a feel for other communities. I'm also interested in exploring areas of the BC interior. I'm a devoted, reliable, dedicated animal lover and I take pride in doing any project to the best of my ability. I have a care-giver background, having worked in dental health and as a yoga teacher for many years. I have lots of experience with landscaping and I love to garden. I love building connections with people & animals. I am 'trauma-informed' and am familiar with 'Force Free' training principles. I'm comfortable with older pets and giving some meds as needed also. I lived alone for many years so I am not bad at house chores and I am a tidy person. I had some plants at home(avocado, qumquat, calonche, cactuses etc.) Also, I have experiences on couchsurfing/airbnb/workaway and have many references there (~30 references/reviews in total). You can check my profile for further details:) Please communicate if your furry child/ren have any medical conditions (vomiting every day etc.) before I accept your invitation. Make sure they are vaccinated on time and be given flea pills etc. Please leave a clean and tidy house for me with clean bedding. I do not expect hotel-like cleaning and I understand that there are cultural differences in terms of hygiene but I really don`t like breathing dust or seeing spider nets above my bed or stains in my bed/urine on the toilet etc. For me to leave your home clean before I leave, make sure that you leave cleaning products/cloths/paper towels/cloths etc., please. Also, please let me know if there is no hot water/no heating/unusual stairs/ladders that I have to use at your home. About: I rent a room in a home in Four Seasons, Beaumont, Ca and I we have many walking trails where I walk my dogs regularly. I have two dogs one is a Chihuahua Jack Russell, the other is a Terrier mix who is very friendly with other dogs and loves to play. We take great care of our dogs and always foster if we have the chance, so dog sitting would be a blast for us. Many toys that our dog would be willing to share. About: I grew up with at least one dog at all times, sometimes as many as two or three. I dog sit regularly for friends and coworkers. I enjoy spending time will all types of dogs! I am young, active, and love being outside. I am confident in my ability to take care of dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels.
