About: Dogs are my great addiction. I've owned dogs and walked and trained them all my life, but until I settle into my next job, I can't have a dog of my own again, so I'm petsitting and walking dogs for extra “dog time.” I have trained dogs for decades and now I also walk dogs at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter. in the past, I assisted a vets, once in the mobile spay/neuter clinic in the Navajo Nation, and in a few other instances with wildlife rehab and injured animals. I kept all my own dogs into old age and love senior dogs. With my family I raised 2 litters of Shepherd puppies, and Ive fostered mothers and puppies at my home. I work part-time and online, and can fit my schedule around your dog, cat or housesitting needs. I'm an early riser and love to be outdoors in any weather so you never have to worry that your pet's schedule will be interrupted. Your home is as important to me as your animal family and both will receive loving care and attention from me. I've cared for many homes in New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado and have excellent references from clients, neighbors and friends to share.

“Stephanie was wonderfully caring of my 5-month old kitten. Extremely communicative and sent lots of pictures. Was kind enough to pick her up and drop her off during the busy holiday season. Our kitten stayed at Stephanie's for 3 weeks and by the looks of it enjoyed her stay there with her other feline friends. Would definitely trust her with my kitty again:) Highly recommend!!”

She took on my Zoey in an emergency, when my house/dog sitter for a month while I was out of the country over the holidays became ill and had to abandon my house and dog to receive medical care. She stepped in and took over with compassion, attention and great care to all sorts of details. She bathed, played and snuggled with Zoey, sending pictures every day. When snowstorms hit, she stayed in touch to assure me all was well at the house even though no one was at the house. When I came home, it looked better than when I left and my fur baby was very happy.”

About: What can I say, I love dogs!!! Iv'e been around dogs my whole life, beginning with my Husky that loved chaperoning me around our backyard when I was a baby. I'm very grateful to have the experience with a dog since youth! I was raised around other animals too, bunnies, mice, and hamsters. Lol but I bond especially well with dogs. I hope to make new memories with your pet if you choose me! I am flexible and willing to work around your dogs schedule and my own. We can work something out to meet both our needs of course. About: I will treat your pet like royalty! I have a huge fenced in yard with trees and lots of room to run and play. I work from home and nothing makes me smile more than animals. The animals I watch over I give lots of love and attention, as though they were my own. That’s the honest care and love I bring to each new animal I meet. I've always loved animals. When I was a kid I thought for sure I’d be a vet, or animal researcher or zoologist so I quickly became my neighborhood dog walker, cat sitter, fish feeder, bird watcher, snake charmer, etc. the list could go on! Since then, I have enjoyed sitting for friends and family. I’ll never say no to hanging out with a fur ball. I have experience with small and big dogs. I am active, strong, able to lift 100+ pounds and I love to spend time to really get to know each animal's personality. (I'll give them some serious love and attention.) I will give baths, groom and administer meds with precision. Whatever your dogs unique needs are, I’ll meet them. I also have experience with injured animals and newborns (neighborhood kittens have a way of finding me.) Rest assured your dog will be in good, safe, loving hands. If you happen to have cats, look no further. I adore spending time with the feline kind. I’ve cared for several dogs, cats, horses and rabbits for the majority of my life and love animals. Depending on where you live, I love taking dogs for long walks, and know a lot of the Santa Fe parks or places to exercise - my favorite right now being: Rose Park, Smith Park and Frank S Ortiz Dog Park. Please let me know if your animal has any special needs or medications and instructions for feeding and/or bathing. Please only reach out if your dog is 100% house trained, older than one year and plays well with others. I am not able to dog sit dogs who are not house trained or have aggression issues.

“Lis was a godsend for us. She's watched our babies three times now. We found her a week before we were heading out of town. We had just moved from AZ to NM and we didn't want to leave our animals in a strange home while we were away. Lis jumped at the chance to watch our 4 animals (2 cats and 2 dogs) and not to mention in a home that was filled with boxes and only an air mattress for her to use while she stayed overnight with our fur babies. But our first experiences with Lis don't speak volumes about the help she provided us when we had an emergency situation. With no notice, we needed Lis to stay with our animals for a couple of days. She immediately made room in her busy schedule to help us. If you're looking for a phenomenal, trustworthy pet sitter who truly treats your pets like they are hers - Lis is your perfect find.
