About: My name is Heather, I am an old soul who has always felt a deeper connection with animals than with any person. I have 20+ years experience working with various species of pets including dogs, cats, birds, mice, rats, fish, snakes, hamsters, gerbils, goats, horses, and donkeys! Currently my husband and I share a loving home with twolarge Dogs: Bella and Wyatt. Two cats: Xena and Tarzan. Several fish and plants! We have a barn with two horse and two goats. We do not have a fenced in yard but we do have plenty of space to run around on leash! We also have close to 60 acres of hay fields we enjoy hiking with our dogs when the weather is nice. I have worked with special needs animals at an animal sanctuary. During my time there I learned how to administer medications to both dogs and cats. I have experience working with senior pets as well as pets with various disabilities. I feel it is very important to take the time to get to know the animal which is why I am looking forward to a meet and greet with everyone who is interested in using my services! Please feel free to message me anytime with questions, comments or concerns! I am currently a stay at home mom. As of right now my schedule is flexible. I am available for drop ins, boarding and doggy day care. I have three large dogs that are well versed with new dogs coming and going. Patches in particular is our younger pup and LOVES playing with other dogs.
“Megan does twice a week drop in visits/walks with my 11yo pitbull who adores her. Megan is super communicative, accommodating with scheduling and always sends the cutest pictures of Stella. We’re super lucky to have found Megan!”

“Dennis is personable, prompt, and flexible. He offers a variety of services for your canine companion. I appreciated his very thoughtful observation of my dog’s body language, behavior, and preference cues - Elliot can take a moment to warm up to new friends and lives to play with his flirt stick. I would, without reservation, recommend Dennis as your walker, play date companion, and house sitter.”

About: Dog mom providing loving, reliable care for puppies, adults, and seniors. Patient, attentive, and committed to keeping every pet safe and happy, and comfortable always. As a full-time online student, I have a flexible schedule and spend most of my day at home with my Poms. This allows me to provide attentive, reliable care for one to two dogs per day, ensuring they receive plenty of supervision, exercise, playtime, and affection. I have my own home with a large patio area where pets can enjoy fresh air and supervised outdoor time. Since it is not fenced, I always keep pets safely supervised and use their collar or leash when needed. I provide daily walks, exercise, playtime, and loving care while following each pet’s routine and needs.
“Kasey was great! She was understanding about my dogs anxiety and reactivity. She was also super understanding when I had a family emergency and had to cancel in the middle of the booking. About: I’ve watched many pets of friends and co workers. I’ve myself had a lot of pets growing up as well. I used to volunteer at a pet shelter as well. Recently graduated and work part time and I have a lot of free time. Weekends are usually free too for taking care of a pet I make sure to take long walks, give a lot of pets and love. I love hiking as well so I can surely make sure your pet releases all of their energy
About: With 6 years of dedicated experience in pet care, I provide a comprehensive and compassionate service tailored to the unique needs of each animal. My expertise extends beyond basic care to include specialized skills such as positive reinforcement-based puppy training, helping to establish good habits from an early age. I also have a deep understanding of senior dog care, including administering medication, providing gentle exercise, and creating a comfortable, low-stress environment. I have experience managing a variety of medical conditions, ensuring your furry family member is safe and well-cared for at all times. My goal is to be a trusted partner in your pet's health and happiness, providing peace of mind while you're away. Each morning starts with feeding, watering, and a potty break for the pets in my care. This is followed by a morning walk or playtime to get their energy out and start the day on a positive note. Throughout the day, I follow individual schedules, which might include specific feeding times for puppies or senior dogs, medication administration, or scheduled walks and potty breaks. The afternoon often includes another round of playtime or enrichment activities, such as puzzle feeders or training sessions, to keep their minds engaged. Evenings are typically quieter, with a final feeding and potty break before a relaxing wind-down. My weekly routine involves a bit more planning. I coordinate with pet owners to schedule walks, check-ins, or overnight stays. I also use this time to restock on supplies and keep detailed records of each pet's behavior, eating habits, and health. If a pet is in my care for an extended period, I might schedule a grooming appointment to ensure they're in top shape. My schedule is built around the needs of the pet, ensuring they receive consistent, loving care and that their owners have peace of mind. Caring for pets, whether on my own or a client's, requires a responsible and attentive approach to ensure their well-being. A fundamental aspect is providing a consistent routine, including scheduled feeding times with high-quality, species-appropriate food and fresh water that is always accessible. Regular exercise is crucial for both physical and mental health; this can range from daily walks for dogs to interactive playtime. Environmental enrichment, such as toys, scratching posts, and comfortable bedding, helps prevent boredom and destructive behaviors. It's also vital to maintain a clean and safe living space by regularly cleaning food and water bowls, litter boxes, and bedding. Beyond daily care, a thorough pet care plan includes regular grooming, such as brushing and nail trims, and staying up-to-date on veterinary care, including vaccinations and preventative treatments for fleas, ticks, and worms. For client homes, clear communication is paramount. It is important for me to obtain detailed instructions regarding the pet's specific needs, routines, medications, and any behavioral quirks, as well as emergency contact information. This holistic approach, combining routine care with attention to individual needs and a focus on safety and hygiene, ensures a happy and healthy life for any pet under my care.

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Richfield. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route , the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.
The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Richfield after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
