“Hannah was absolutely wonderful! She communicated well and went above and beyond to make sure our kitties (and house) were cared for. Bonus- she also takes great photos :) We will definitely use Hannah again for future rover requests. Thank you, Hannah!!”

About: Hi I’m a city girl who loves animals and especially dogs. I grew up with dogs and I actually have my own pup named Shelby! She is a gorgeous mixed who I adopted from the pound. We love to spend time playing and training together! It helps keep us both stimulated ☺️. Me and my cat Greyson love to cuddle and he loves to play tag with his sister sometimes! I have been pet sitting since the age 10 and I have dealt with small , big, young and the old dogs. I’m able to make connections with any type of dog. I have dealt with dogs with special diets and needs. I love all dogs equally and would love to get to know your babies each. I do have doggy treats and toys but I would love to have any future friends bring their own. I also have experience working for a doggie day camp named pet paradise where I was taught and trained to understand dog and cat behavior so trust that your furry friends are in the best care! I currently have an open schedule and am home most days so I have complete flexibility to spend time and play with your furry friends! I have a one active friendly dog who loves to play and chase so if you are comfortable she is looking for a play date! I love to go on long walks and trips for treats! For my cats it depends on there comfortable level but for mines we do tons of chase play and cuddles!
“Crystal is awesome, always flexible and timely. She does a great job with the Rover card explaining what the animals did or she did with her visit and she takes plenty of pictures. 10/10 highly recommend!”

About: I have taken care of animals for 22 years, and I absolutely love it. In fact, my whole life I wanted to be a Vet Tech. I love animals, and have a special connection with each of them. I am currently not working full time, as I just had a baby 6 months ago. I would be able to schedule accordingly to accommodate my work life balance, while simultaneously fulfilling one of my greatest passions which is animals. I have a two story Cinda, with a back patio, grass to walk animals, and cozy spaces for fur babies! I would also be willing to take to the dog park or walking at Mill Creek park with the pets if needed.
“Megan did such a phenomenal job cat-sitting for us. We have three VERY high maintenance furballs. It was clear Megan took time to play and cuddle them daily. We plan to only hire Meghan in future if possible. Very trustworthy.”

“Caleigh was fantastic with our girls! We used her for morning drop-in visits for our two girls, a pit bull and a small senior, while we were out of town. She came over and met them beforehand and was great with them. She updated us every morning, including pictures, and was very responsive to messages. When she returned the house key, our dogs enthusiastically greeted her. We will definitely rebook with Caleigh again!!”

“Samantha was so wonderful, and she took excellent care of our cats and guinea pigs while we were out of town. Great, consistent updates. I felt very safe knowing they were in good hands!”

About: I have always grown up with animals and have 3 dogs of my own. I will take care of any animal! I have always been known as the person who has a huge heart for animals, I would love to take care of your baby! I believe pets are family! I currently attend school Monday-Thursday 8am-3:15pm. I can help out any time around that! I am also a bartender so sometimes I will have to work late nights. I live in an apartment, so I prefer to come to you! I do have a dog of my own, so if you need overnight sitting, he would have to come with (he’s amazing don’t worry)!
About: I have grown up with dogs all of my life, like most people. However, I have learned to be patient with them yet stern. I used to pet sit all over my neighborhood because they all knew me as the dog whisperer. I take care of their needs while their owners are busy with work or are enjoying a much needed vacation. During the summer I do not work since I am a teacher and I know many families like to go out of town to enjoy their time. That is why I do not mind opening my time and home to other pets so the owners do not have to worry about their pets while they are away. I have a fenced in yard that dogs can run around in. There is even a dog park a mile from my house if the owner wants them to have more freedom. If for some reason, other pets do not get along with my cat, I have plenty of bedrooms and I would rotate the animals being able to roam the house.
About: I have 2 pets of my own. A dog and a cat and I love them with my whole heart. 3 years ago I started watching my neighbors large size dogs and fell in love with it. I have graduated from Georgia Southern University with my Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. I live in Statesboro full time and I am just trying to make a little extra money on the side! I am free Monday - Friday and on the weekends as well! I currently have a dog and cat that live with me. As for watching my neighbors dogs I have had them in their crates because that’s how the owner had them. I now live in Statesboro full time and sadly they moved away and I do not watch their dogs anymore.

About: I grew up with a grandfather who had a service dog for his medical condition and from a young age I was fascinated with dogs because of it. The way she could smell his blood sugar levels and alert him and constantly be loyal and obedient to him just amazed me. People are pretty amazing, but dogs are inspiring. I not only learned how to treat a dog to gain the best companionship from one, but also how to be a good leader and caretaker. I also grew up with a family dog in my home (picture of me as young girl with my dog, Shyla). She was a gentle, loving, sweet dog who was given to us after her previous owner mistreated her and she was removed from her home and put into ours. Beyond that, my family has multiple cats that mostly remained outside but were typically snuck into the home by me and my siblings (my poor Mom loved them but has bad allergies to cats). In short, I have learned a lot through experience, observation, and inquiry and I would love to shower your pet with the attention and love that they deserve. I’m currently a stay at home wife who attends college online with my major focus being psychology. I spend most days at home tidying, working on school, and relaxing so I have plenty of time to play fetch, go on walks, and cuddle on the couch. I love to play and pet and cuddle with dogs but I also enjoy taking care of them and knowing their wants and needs are not only met but exceeded. As far as how I will care for your pet(s), will depend on what you ask of me and what boundaries you set for your pet(s). The secure feeling in knowing your pet(s) is taken care of in the manner you want or would have done is important for your peace of mind, and understandably so. I consider your requests or concerns with upmost respect because it’s ultimately about making you and your pet happy.

About: I have been pet sitting dogs and cats since I was very young and am passionate about caring for and saving animals of all breeds! I am currently a college student who attends school 3-4 days a week. However this doesn’t not affect my pet care because I prioritize any potential clients and can balance work and life! I make sure to give lots of love, attention, cuddles, and play time with any animal of any size. I am big on treat giving!
“Tara was fantastic with our cat Nugget! Communication was great, and she sent us pictures every visit. She was also kind enough to bring in a package that was delivered and make sure our trash can was pulled away from the curb after trash day. Highly recommend!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
