About: We are a pet-friendly home with one cat, two older kids who love dogs and all animals, and myself who will take gentle care of your dog/s, as well as cats, and/or all other animals while you are away. No type of animal (unless aggressive) will likely be turned away. I have loved and cared for my own pet dogs, cats, birds, and other critters my entire life, and I know and understand that you are trusting me to care for a member of your family. We do not take this responsibility lightly. In addition to several years of pet care, I have also had experience and training with professional bathing and grooming of dogs and cats, and caring for special-needs animals, including puppies, kittens, elderly dogs and cats including those with arthritis and diabetes, administering medicine, and giving injections and subcutaneous fluids. Our home is relaxed and open, with "safe spaces" where we can keep your pet if they want or need their own room. About: I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for family, friends and volunteering over the years. I currently have two dogs and have been training Bandit (my Schnauzer) since the day I brought him home. I have had dogs for most of my life and have had worked with various ages and sizes. I currently work full time but have a flexible schedule during the day Monday-Friday allowing me to be there for you and your pet, I am available on nights and weekends! I have pet sit for my friends a lot in prior years and when I am in your home, I am courteous to you and your dog's space. I make sure to visit the home prior so I can meet and greet the family and the dog and learn their routine and where any supplies are that I may need. I make sure I can fit in some play/exercise time (whether the yard is fenced in, or we have to use a leash). I make sure to keep the environment clean and safe at all times and do regular check-ins. In my own home I provide the same service. I want you to be comfortable with where your dog will be visiting and know the environment they will be in, prior to staying. I make sure my house is always picked up and that there is minimal possibility of safety issues. My yard is fenced in, and I live by a nice park that is dog friendly. At home I enjoy playing/exercising indoors and out and making enrichment bowls. Health is key!
