Abby is terrific. When we reached out with short notice, she didn't just say yes, she came over first for a meet and greet to make sure our dog Jackie (and me) felt comfortable before their first walk together. That kind of thoughtfulness matters, especially with a dog who struggles with separation anxiety. Thanks, Abby!

About: I have grown up around cats and dogs and have always had cats since I've been an adult. I am experienced in administering medications except needles and I can match any energy level critter! I make time each day for walks, playtime, and giving pets the attention they (and their owners) need to feel safe and happy while their owners are away. I can typically do cat or dog walking every 4-6 hours at the owner’s house (I am unable to host at this time). Otherwise, I can come over to your place as needed, whether to just check up and feed/water/walk, or to stay for a few hours for your pet's comfort and your peace of mind. Let me know if you need me to stay overnights. I'm available for anything just about anytime and would love to meet new clients and set up recurring visits. Unfortunately, I do not have the means to host any new pets at my house. However, I am very clean, organized, & respectful in my clients’ home for all services. From there, their care is up to you for specifics. Do you prefer them to get their energy out at a park or walks around the neighborhood? Or maybe chill vibes, movie nights, and cuddle time? You got it! My aim is to bring you the most convenient and stress-free care for your beloved critters.

About: Aloha! I’m Allison, and my journey with dogs began in Honolulu, walking alongside my dad—an incredible K9 police officer—before I could even spell “sit.” That early start shaped my lifelong connection with dogs, especially the ones who need a little extra understanding and care. Over the years, I’ve studied the greats—like Cesar Millan’s calm leadership and Zak George’s positive reinforcement methods—and created my own balanced approach that brings out the best in every dog. I believe training isn't just about obedience—it's about building trust, connection, and confidence. Whether your pup is shy, spirited, or just needs a good daily stroll, I’m here to help. My walks are more than just potty breaks—they’re mini adventures filled with mental stimulation, respect, and love. And the more well-behaved dogs out there? The more homes open up for shelter and rescue pups. 🐶💕 Pet care has always been a natural part of my daily life. I have pets of my own and have cared for animals for years. I’m building my schedule around dog walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime and one-on-one attention, so your pet gets dependable care without feeling rushed. 🐾 I care for pets in their own home where they’re most comfortable. I follow each owner’s instructions and their pet’s normal routine, including walks, feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime and lots of attention. I always respect the pet’s personality, their home, and any specific care or safety instructions provided. 🐾

About: I've had my own dog since I was 3...I could not live without my pets. I have also lost a lot of pets due to old age. I am retired so all my free time goes to my 3 labs and 1 cat. We go for daily walks and the beach ⛱️ I have a big fenced yard ....plenty of room to play. My dogs are very easy to get along with and would love play dates.

About: I absolutely love dogs ! They truly are man’s best friend till the end. I have two dogs of my own , whom I love very much ! I have experience in dog sitting as well as dog walking and I am passionate about providing good care and excited to meet new pups! I fit pet care into my day/week routine because I have two dogs of my own. One is a pit bull and another is a boarder collie so to say they need care is an understatement. They have the upmost energy. I will play with them and wear them out so they get a good nights sleep. With that being said we walk, hike, run, go to the beach, play fetch , etc. as much as we can. I treat my puppies very kindly , if not they’re quite spoiled. 😉 I care very deeply about animals and I aim to help when I can !

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
