“Wendi was great with our two dogs! She was attentive, playful, and went above and beyond in taking care of them. Her communication and effort gave us peace of mind. Plus, she takes great photos.”
“We recently moved to the area and were in need of someone to care for our senior cat. We found Linda and we are so glad we did! She is kind and professional and she takes her job seriously. She took great care of our kitty and even sent us pictures of a kitty that hangs around our property. We are happy knowing we have Linda for any cat care needs in the future.”

About: My experience comes from owning not just dogs (XL-XS) and cats, but many animals in my lifetime. To me, living with these animals is the best way to gain experience. I have also done many house sitting jobs for people with lots of pets, and it’s something I genuinely enjoy doing. To me, the most important thing is establishing trust with your sitter, and I am a guaranteed safe person to trust any animal with. I’m great at reading animal body language and typically do well with all pets. I work at Panera, so my hours are not crazy, and never are usually longer than 4 hours, so pet sitting works great with my schedule. My college is also online so that doesn’t effect my schedule for the most part. In a clients home, it’s important to follow all of the instructions they provide, while also making their pets feel as if the owners never left.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my genuine passion for animals, along with a strong focus on tailored care for each pet’s unique needs. I have hands-on experience with both energetic puppies and senior pets requiring extra patience and support. I'm comfortable with administering medications, following special diets, and sticking to detailed routines to ensure your pet feels safe and happy in your absence. Pet care is a natural and fulfilling part of my daily and weekly routine. I structure my schedule to prioritize reliability and consistency, whether it's early morning feedings, midday walks, or evening playtime and check-ins. I'm flexible and committed to working around your pet’s needs, ensuring they get the attention, exercise, and love they deserve every single day. Whether it's a short-term visit or long-term care, I make sure your pet’s routine stays as normal and comforting as possible. Safety, trust, and comfort are always my top priorities when caring for pets—whether in my home or a client’s. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special needs to create a secure, calm environment. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions closely to ensure their pet feels safe in a familiar setting. If I’m caring for pets in my own home, I provide a clean, pet-friendly space that’s fully secured and free of hazards. I supervise interactions, keep a consistent routine, and always provide plenty of love, enrichment, and downtime to help pets feel at ease. I also keep communication open with regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is in great hands.
About: I am a dog owner, looking to care for other dogs at my home! I have a very playful 2year old Labrador who would love to have company. Two is better than one. My wife and I would take care and keep an eye on your fur babies when you’re out for travel, short trips, vacaciones holidays or others occasions. I have a fenced yard for play and potty time. I also have a full house so you dog would never be alone because I work from home and so does my wife. We let our dogs roam free in the house.

About: I’ve raised puppies, kittens, baby birds, chickens and various other animals, I’ve also had experience working on a dog farm and groomed various types of breeds. I’m available for part-time work and am flexible when it comes to scheduling. I am open to working Monday-Sun as long as it’s planned at least a week in advance. I have a fenced large yard with two separate deck areas, I am open to bringing the pets over and housing them or going to a clients house and pet sitting, walking or even bathing if needed in a comfortable and familiar place for the pet.

“I hesitate to leave a raving review on Amber because she’s so Awesome that she’ll be high demand I won’t be able to book her again! I seriously can’t say enough about the comfort I felt leaving my fur baby in Amber’s care. She loves on our Miley like she’s her own. She was prompt to all 3 drop in visits for several days in a row. Miley absolutely loves her and my dog’s usually a little timid and scared of strangers. I not only felt very comfortable having Amber take care of Miley but also come into our house each day.”

About: I’ve been taking care of my own dogs for around 5 years now. I have two dogs. One a senior and the other around a year. Both are very loved and cared for as if they were my own kids. I’m currently working part time. My schedule usually fluctuates but I am mostly working weekends rather than weekdays. My work schedule is usually Thursday, Saturday and Sunday but I would let you know if anything changes. In my own home my dogs are allowed both indoors and outdoors. For the most part they are allowed on all furniture. If it’s too hot or too cold they only go outdoors to use the restroom. I currently work full time as a TA. My schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. Weekends work best for me considering I work all day throughout the weekday. Possibly able to work with you if weekdays are needed. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs that will keep your fur baby company. I can also easily crate your baby if that is your preference.

About: I have several years of hands-on experience caring for my own Beagle, who is friendly, well-socialized, and accustomed to living with people. Through daily walks, feeding, training reinforcement, grooming, and routine health care, I’ve learned how to provide a safe, structured, and loving environment for dogs. My home is a clean, smoke-free single-family house with a secure fenced backyard where dogs can safely play and relax. I only accept a limited number of dogs at a time so that every guest receives plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and routine. Whether your dog enjoys playtime, quiet naps, or extra cuddles, I’ll follow your care instructions carefully and provide regular photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I have a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, so my background is closely connected to health, medications, biology, and careful observation. My training has made me very attentive to details such as changes in appetite, energy level, behavior, hydration, and daily routine, and I am comfortable following detailed care instructions, including medication schedules when needed. This scientific background naturally carries over into how I care for pets—I tend to notice small changes, keep routines consistent, and take safety and wellbeing seriously. I have a flexible schedule and spend plenty of time at home, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I already care for my own friendly Beagle and provide regular walks, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and supervision throughout the day. I am available for boarding on both weekdays and weekends, with flexible drop-off and pick-up times. My home is clean, quiet, and dog-friendly, with a fully fenced backyard that I specifically designed with my dog in mind. I wanted him to have a safe and comfortable outdoor space for potty breaks, playtime, exploring, and relaxing, so the backyard was planned to be both secure and easy for dogs to enjoy under supervision. I understand how important routine and a comfortable environment are, especially when a dog is staying somewhere unfamiliar. Dogs are never left outside unattended and always have access to fresh water, cozy indoor spaces, and plenty of attention. I treat every dog like part of the family and communicate regularly with owners through updates, photos, and videos. Please let me know about your dog’s daily routine, feeding schedule, potty schedule, energy level, personality, and any medical needs or behavioral concerns. For everyone’s safety and comfort, I prefer dogs that are friendly with other dogs since I have a male Beagle at home. My home is clean, quiet, and pet-friendly, with a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely enjoy supervised outdoor time. I have a friendly, well-socialized Beagle, so I understand the importance of keeping pets comfortable and maintaining a consistent routine. Dogs are never left outside unattended and always have access to fresh water, cozy indoor spaces, and plenty of attention. About: Hello my name is Shondra and I absolutely love dogs. as a retiree, I'm home most of the time, so your pup will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day-they'll never be left alone for long periods. I've had dogs my entire life and have experience training German Shorthaired Pointers as hunting dogs. Although I no longer hunt, the knowledge, patience, and dedication I gained from training them helps me provide excellent care for every dog I meet. I walk my own dog every day, and if your pup enjoys walks and is able to join us, I'd be happy to include them in our daily adventures. My home is clean, safe, and pet-friendly, giving your furry family member a comfortable place to relax and feel at home. I know how important it is to stay connected while you're away, so i'll send you daily photos and updates so you can see all the fun your pup is having and peace of mind. If you have a puppy, I can also help with crate training and potty training by following a consistent routine and using positive reinforcement, but it has to be with a crate for cleanliness. My promise is simple: I'll care for your dog with the same love, patience, and attention that I give my own. I look forward to welcoming your furry family member into my home. I have saved my dog Kiddy (who has now passed away at 19yrs old) from near death when she was 16yrs old. She had an infected tooth which got into her blood and caused her to almost die. the doctor gave her antibiotics but she wasn't eating or drinking for days. I put in a blender chicken and pedialyte, I then poured it into a feeding syringe and carefully put it in her mouth, I did this for 2 days and she came back to life. She got her tooth pulled as soon as she was better. I wanted to tell my story so you know that I will do whatever it takes to care for your pup. Our fur babies are family❤️❤️🙏 I am retired and home to take care of your pup. I do have one little dog and 2 cats. My pup is on an eating schedule and walking schedule so if your pup is on any schedule I will accommodate. My dogs and cats are cherished members of the family, and I will treat your animals as my extended family. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and comfortable home where your pet feels happy and secure while your pet feels happy and secure will you're away. I have a fully fenced yard for outdoor play and live close to a park, where your pup can enjoy daily walks and exercise. I also have a swimming pool that is not fenced; however, your pets safety is my highest priority, and I closely supervise all outdoor time to ensure they stay safe. if your pet requires medication, I am experienced and comfortable administering it according to your instructions. I will also follow your preferred feeding schedule and routine to help your pet feel at home. I specialize in caring for small to medium-size dogs. if your pup enjoys relaxing on the couch, they're welcome to cuddle up with me. I can provide a crate if needed, or you're welcome to bring your own if that's what your pup is accustomed to sleeping in. For the comfort and cleanliness of my home, I do require that all pets be potty trained or crated while learning to be potty trained. I also understand that every pet has unique needs. For example, I currently care for a friends dog who uses a dog litter box, so im happy to accommodate that setup if needed. As a special treat, I make homemade boil chicken treats that many dogs love, of course, I will always follow any dietary restrictions or special instructions you provide. Most importantly, I will care for your pet with the same love, patience, and attention that I give my own. I want every dog or cat in my care to feel safe, loved, and right at home.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
