“Mary now now become Aunt Mary the furbabies chaperone! She has been great with our girls, as well as watching over our house while gone. Listens to all instructions very well, takes the dogs for walks during the day and plenty of potty breaks. She is very reliable and look forward to creating a long term relationship with her and the dogs. Definetly recommend her for your pets!!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs basically since birth and have had my own personal dogs for a total of 12 years now. I have experience with training, nutrition, and general care so I’m very familiar with the variety of needs your dog may have. I also just obtained a bachelors degree in zoology so I’ve been studying animals my entire life. I am currently going to school online and working remotely as well, so I will have plenty of time to spend with your fur children. I personally have a husky mix myself who is very friendly. Since my schedule is so flexible, I am able to go on as many walks as you wish with your dog, either alone of with my own dog. I have a fenced yard and one male dog who is neutered and very friendly. Because my dog is a husky, I am used to staying out in the yard and supervising him so your dog won’t be left out in the yard alone.I also have a crate that can be used to crate my dog or yours if need be. I’m very flexible and open to whatever sleeping arrangements you are most comfortable with for your pet.

About: Hi! I’m Ella, and I’ve been around animals my entire life. Growing up, we always had at least three dogs and a few cats in the house, so caring for pets has always come naturally to me! I have over 8 years of pet-sitting experience and have cared for dogs of all sizes, from tiny Dachshunds to big German Shepherds. I’ve worked with puppies who are still potty training, senior dogs who need a little extra help, and pets who take daily medications (I’m pretty good at sneaking pills into turkey when needed 😉). I love being outside, so if your dog has lots of energy and enjoys long walks or hikes, we’ll get along great! But I’m also totally happy taking things slow and letting your pup stop to sniff every blade of grass along the way 😂. I’m currently in nursing school and am EMT-certified, so I’m responsible, detail-oriented, and comfortable staying calm in unexpected situations. I only have 1–2 clinical days a week, which means I have a pretty flexible schedule otherwise. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I’ll make sure they get lots of love, attention, and care while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet them! I know our pets are family, and leaving them in someone else’s care can be stressful. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable while you’re away! Whether I’m stopping by for a walk or staying in your home, I’ll give your pet plenty of love, attention, and care. I’m also happy to send lots of updates and photos so you can see how much fun we’re having together!

“Alyssa was a wonderful pet and house sitter for our family while we were away for 10 days. She took excellent care of our home, which was spotless when we returned. We so appreciated her attention to detail! She kept in touch while we were away and did a very good job with our very shy kitty, who did not come out much to socialize. It was a pleasure to work with Alyssa and we look forward to using her in the future.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my genuine passion for animals, along with a strong focus on tailored care for each pet’s unique needs. I have hands-on experience with both energetic puppies and senior pets requiring extra patience and support. I'm comfortable with administering medications, following special diets, and sticking to detailed routines to ensure your pet feels safe and happy in your absence. Pet care is a natural and fulfilling part of my daily and weekly routine. I structure my schedule to prioritize reliability and consistency, whether it's early morning feedings, midday walks, or evening playtime and check-ins. I'm flexible and committed to working around your pet’s needs, ensuring they get the attention, exercise, and love they deserve every single day. Whether it's a short-term visit or long-term care, I make sure your pet’s routine stays as normal and comforting as possible. Safety, trust, and comfort are always my top priorities when caring for pets—whether in my home or a client’s. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special needs to create a secure, calm environment. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions closely to ensure their pet feels safe in a familiar setting. If I’m caring for pets in my own home, I provide a clean, pet-friendly space that’s fully secured and free of hazards. I supervise interactions, keep a consistent routine, and always provide plenty of love, enrichment, and downtime to help pets feel at ease. I also keep communication open with regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is in great hands.

About: Pet Care is important! I can help with your pets needs as your away from home whether on vacation or at work for long hours,I can stop by to help! I add more water & food, play/entertain, take cat outside for an outdoor break, or take your dog on W-A-L-Ks. I offer drop ins / dog walks during the week and overnight stay from Fri-Mon. I provided pet care services for over 10 years and met incredible pets ranging from: your traditional pets(dogs, cats, fish), exotic pets( Asian water monitor Lizard, birds), farm animals (bunnies, chickens, etc.) As a dedicated pet sitter, my daily and weekly routine revolves around ensuring the well-being and happiness of the pets under my care. Here's an overview of how pet care fits into my schedule: Daily Routine: Morning Check-ins: I start the day by visiting each pet on time. This includes feeding, providing fresh water, and spending quality time with them for play and companionship. Midday Breaks: For clients who prefer midday check-ins, I make sure to visit again to offer bathroom breaks, playtime, and any necessary medications. Afternoon Activities: In the afternoon, I engage pets in activities suitable for their energy levels, whether it's a walk, interactive play, or simply some cuddle time. Evening Check-ins: The evening routine involves another round of feeding, ensuring their comfort, and spending time with them before bedtime. 1.Dedicated Pet Space: Pets have access to a dedicated and comfortable space in my home, ensuring they have their own area to relax, sleep, and play. This space is designed to make them feel secure and at home. Dogs in my care will also have the opportunity to go outside every hour for approximately 30 minutes, where they can enjoy the fresh air and outdoor environment. During this time, they will be closely monitored to ensure their safety and well-being. 2.Regular Exercise: Pets staying with me enjoy regular exercise routines, including walks, playtime, and access to a secure outdoor area. 3.Social Interaction: Pets are not only included in my daily activities but also have social time with the residents of the home, including my own friendly dogs. My four dogs, spanning different ages, are consistently supervised during play sessions to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment. 4.Feeding Schedule: I maintain a consistent feeding schedule based on the pet's dietary needs and preferences, following any specific instructions provided by the owner. 5.Grooming and Hygiene: Basic grooming activities such as brushing are included in the care routine. Please note that nail trimming is not offered. FAQs for House Sitting - Quail Ridge Ranch

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Quail Ridge Ranch walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Quail Ridge Ranch maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Quail Ridge Ranch choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
