I had previously used Jennifer for dog walks and had positive experiences, so I felt comfortable booking her for house sitting while I was out of town. Before the stay, I reviewed my dog's care instructions in person and also provided written instructions. My dog has anxiety, follows a specific feeding and medication routine, and one of my primary concerns, which we discussed before booking, was having someone with her overnight. Unfortunately, the house-sitting experience was very different from the walking services I had previously received. During the stay, I experienced significant communication issues, had difficulty reaching Jennifer on multiple occasions, and had to repeatedly clarify care instructions that had already been discussed before the booking and that I had written out and left at my house. As the stay progressed, I lost confidence in the information I was receiving and in whether my dog's care instructions were being followed consistently. At one point, after I raised concerns, Jennifer told me she did not want to continue the booking and wanted me to find someone else to care for my dog. I appreciate that Jennifer did end up completing the booking after I couldn't find someone else to step in, provided a partial refund, and left the house clean. However, because of the communication issues, concerns regarding my dog's care, and the loss of trust that resulted, I would not use this sitter again for any service. If you're considering her for house sitting, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

I’m disappointed with how this visit went. I had made it clear that no one was to go in my bedroom. I saw on camera that you did go in, stayed about 10 minutes, and then made up an excuse on the phone as to why you were in there. That alone crossed a major boundary for me.Even though the door was shut when I got home, I know it had been opened. If it had been open all day like you claimed, my dog would have absolutely been in there—that’s his favorite spot. You also took him on a walk, when I clearly stated he was only to go to the bottom of the stairs. That rule was for a reason and it wasn’t up for debate. On top of all that, you arrived 30 minutes late but still clocked in on Rover like you were there on time. That’s dishonest and not something I’m okay with. Because of all this, I will not be using you again and will be reporting the visit to Rover.

Despite not feeling well, Jennifer still showed up to make sure my dog got walked. She makes sure my dog gets as much movement as my stubborn dog is willing to participate in and plenty of pets. My dog really enjoys her time with Jennifer and I'll definitely book again.
