“Kristy was a great sitter for our very high energy Boxer! I was able to make a reservation on short notice. Drop off and pick up were quick and easy. Our pup slept GREAT after a day of play with Kristy's dog. Will book again in the future!”

“Quill had a blast with Christina! He’s usually very nervous but Christina took the time to make him feel comfortable and that’s the best thing you can ask for with someone watching your dog. I would 100% book with her again.”

About: Right off of 72 if heading this way! Stay at home mom that has a house on a half acre with plenty of land for running around living in the country. We love having new dog friends, come over and play . My schedule is very flexible. I’m a stay at home mother of two. Home all week plus weekends all day. Super reliable. Last minute availability always. I have animals myself that are super friendly, and would love some playmates to keep them company. Also have two dog parks near me. Dog friendly home.
“My pups really enjoyed their stay. They had lots of room to roam around and made a new friend, the family pet Georgie the Corgi. Lindsey gave me updates on how they were doing throughout the day. We will definitely be bringing them back and would highly recommend!”

“Morgan was amazing! Great communication, very friendly, and provided regular updates. I was nervous having someone watching my dog, but I could tell she made him and myself at ease. Absolutely recommend!”

About: Hello! My name is Sydney. I gained a variety of pet care experience while living on a farm in Kansas, working at a veterinary hospital for four years and dog sitting for years prior. I have a sweet, docile older pup of my own who lays around and gets along with everyone. Especially my two cats! She just loves making friends. However, depending on client’s preferences I also have the space in my home to comfortably separate their pets from any combination of mine depending on your/your pet’s comfort level. My home allows for walking opportunities at the Monte Sano Land Trust as well as Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve, and a fenced in dog yard to play in. My goal is to provide the most knowledgeable and experienced service possible for dog owners like myself who want to take great care of their pets! I work from home all of the time and have a very flexible schedule. I already keep track of my own pets and have the space to do so with much more. Safety is of the utmost concern to me for your pets. I will most likely never mix two families’ pets together in my home in a boarding situation as I wouldn’t be able to properly vet the two animals together prior to them being in my home. My dog is a scavenger and she’s done a really great job of forcing me to dog-proof this place so there’s absolutely nothing to possibly get into. Like I mentioned in my bio, I do have the space available to prevent any interaction between a client’s dog and mine if they feel that would be a risk at all, or if I sensed at any point that it would be. They don’t get a kennel, they get a whole spare bedroom and the living room! And just take turns in the yard. I’m willing to go to lengths to ensure clients feel comfortable with the safety of their animal in my home.
“Honey had a great visit at Jeslynn's house. Jeslynn was super accommodating with Honey's disability and sent pictures and videos throughout the day. I would happily recommend others to book with Jeslynn!”

About: I've been caring for dogs since I was 13 years old and have always had a love for them! My experience includes volunteering at an animal shelter, dog walking, and providing pet check-ins for neighbors and friends. During visits, I make sure pets are fed, exercised, and given plenty of attention and playtime so they feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. Every dog has a unique personality and needs, and I take pride in being patient, reliable, and attentive. I treat every dog as if they were my own. I’d love the opportunity to care for your pets! Since I work remotely part-time, I'll be home most of the day and have plenty of time to play, cuddle, and keep your pup company during their stay. When you schedule boarding with me, I’ll add in a complimentary bath! 🐶 Your fur baby will have plenty of space to play in my fully fenced yard! They’re welcome to join the family on the furniture and get comfortable during their stay.
About: I am very familiar with dogs of all ages. I have been a pet sitter for 5+ years and it brings me so much joy! I believe that pets are family and should treated with phenomenal care and love. I’m currently at home full time, so I have plenty of time to provide your pup with playtime, walks, cuddles, and more. I am available for boarding throughout the week as well as drop ins. I have two little ones that will also love on your pup. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room to play! I go on daily walks and would love to have a friend to take along as well.
About: I have always had a love for animals of all kinds and have taken care of dogs for about 10 years now. With me your fur babies will be in a happy playful environment with lots of space to run around I am currently a stay at home momma to my 5 month old, so my available is always open for whatever is most convenient for you. With me your dog will get to run around in a fenced in back yard and I also have 2 dogs of my own who would love to meet new friends.
About: Loving home and pet owner myself, excited about welcoming your pet into our home and family. My husband and I have over 40 years of experience caring and loving for dogs. We currently have a furry friend for your loved one to play with and little ones that will keep them loved and active. I am a stay at home mom with two boys, so pet care is the perfect fit for our lifestyle and gives me the ability to be home and interact with your loved when you cannot. Our home has a fully fenced back yard for your loved one to play and take potty breaks often. The main area of the home is open to your loved one to play, snack and lounge around. We don’t like to keep animals unattended in the back yard so feel safe knowing that they will be warm in the winter and cool in the summer with the rest of the family.
About: My wife and I both grew up with pets and lovingly cared for our dog and two cats for over 17 years before they crossed the rainbow bridge. We recognize that each pet has their own unique needs, and are patient and responsive to ensure they are well cared for. I work from home full-time and my wife works from home part-time. Between the two of us, we are available to provide dogs with two short walks and one long walk a day and make sure they have plenty of food and water - and of course plenty of cuddles if they like that. Our home offers a clean and calm environment for any pet adjusting to a new place temporarily. Any well behaved pet is free to roam throughout the main rooms, and we have a fenced in backyard for dogs that like to be outside. We can accommodate any dietary restrictions and feeding patterns you have. If you prefer for your pet to be in a crate, we can set that up as well. We also have a well behaved six year old daughter who adores animals. We also do in-home visits and can do any feeding, walking, and litter box cleaning as needed.
About: As a dog mom, I know it’s nerve wracking to even think about having to leave your baby in someone else’s care because I’ve been in that position too. Having to search for someone I could genuinely trust to love and care for my dogs the way I do…That’s why I make it priority to give every pet parent the same peace of mind I’d want for my own dogs. When your fur-baby is with me, they’re treated like one of my own. I know no two pets are alike, so I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and preferences. So whether they love to play, need extra enrichment, enjoy quiet companionship, or do better with structure, I’ll make sure they receive the individualized care they’re used to at home so they feel comfortable and happy! I also love keeping pet parents involved, so you can expect lots of photos, videos, and updates throughout their stay or visit! Pet care is already a part of my everyday life. Outside of caring for client pets, you’ll usually find me spending time with my own dogs, going on walks and hikes, working on training, and socializing. Caring for animals isn’t just my job, it’s something I genuinely enjoy every single day. All pup’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. My home is fully fenced for safe outdoor play, and dogs enjoy plenty of supervised playtime, enrichment activities, toys, and opportunities to relax throughout the day. Every dog is different, so I do my best to match their energy level and personality, whether they love to play with friends or prefer a little 1-on-1 attention. To keep everyone safe and comfortable, meals and treats are enjoyed separately, followed by a quiet rest break in their own cozy crate. I use crates as a positive, comfortable space to relax after meals as downtime which helps support healthy digestion before everyone is back to playing and exploring together.
“Annie was great at communicating and was super responsive. Our dog was tired out when we picked him up, which was great! She'd a great dog-sitting option in the Vail/Beaver Creek area!”

“Emma had a great time at daycare at Makaylah’s home yesterday. She was well taken care of and played with Makaylah’s pups ,happily expending some of her energy. Emma even slept in this morning! A rarity! Thank you for taking such good care of her. We will be back!”

“This morning I dropped off a wild child (my pup Emma), she was so excited to be at daycare today! This afternoon I picked up a calm, happy, and totally cared for pup. Emma had a great time at Fortune’s home playing with her pups and really enjoyed playing with her son and his friend. Thank you for watching Emma!”

About: I’ve had dogs most of my life, and I love meeting new ones and learning their quirks. I will treat your babies as if they were my own. I have experience pet sitting growing up as well as working 5 months full time at a kennel before going to college. My home is 1 story with a flat fenced in yard. This is perfect for young dogs through senior dogs. This is my only job, so I have lots of time to dedicate to caring for your pets! I also have a reliable vehicle which makes it easier to get to and from your home or to the vet in case of emergency. I have a single story home with a fenced in yard. We have one very sweet, friendly, senior cat. I can follow your wishes to the best of my ability. And I’m happy to discuss any questions. My pets have always been allowed on furniture and in my bed. But if you prefer them not to, I will do my best to meet your needs.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
