“We're so grateful for Kimberlee! This is the longest time we've been away from our Mia, but she had the best time during her stay. 🫶🏼 Kimberlee is attentive and communicative and we will definitely use her again!”

“Dale was great—he’s such a nice guy. He spent time getting to know us and assuring us that Lucy was going to be fine. We felt very comfortable leaving her with him. He sent us lots of pictures throughout her stay with him. His communication was excellent!! Our thanks to Dale!”

“Terra was fantastic! I got pictures twice a day and it was clear my babies were so happy! She is very professional and a wonderful pet sitter! We will absolutely book her again!”

“This was my first time using Rover and it went incredibly smooth! Jacob and his family loved on my dog Benny and sent me updates, pictures, and answered all of my questions. I will definitely be using them the next time I need it!”

About: Animals have been a part of my life ever since I was a little girl, and I've been caring for dogs for as long as I can remember. I'm currently the proud "mother" of two guinea pigs! I genuinely love taking dogs on walks, feeding them, and taking the time to learn and adapt to their unique personalities. Noisy pups? No problem—barking doesn't bother me at all. I am also fully comfortable administering medications if your pet needs extra medical care, and I'm happy to transport dogs in my car for walks or adventures. I would love to meet you and your furry friend! I work Monday–Thursday from 8 AM–5 PM and Friday from 8 AM–12:30 PM. I have an hour lunch break during the week that I’d be happy to spend with your pet! My evenings and weekends are also completely free, so I have plenty of time to give your pets attention, play with them, or just hang out with them while you’re away. I live in a quiet military community with plenty of friendly neighbors and a calm environment. I’m also in a spacious apartment that’s over 1,400 sq. ft., so there’s plenty of room for your pet to get comfortable and move around. If your pet stays at my home, they’ll always be taken outside on a leash, and there’s plenty of room for them to walk around and get some energy out. I also love walking at the lake, so I’d be more than happy to bring your dog along for a walk!
About: Hello! My name is Jira. I do my best to give pets the best care and experience I can provide. I value safety, enrichment, exercise and most of all, fun! I employ what I describe as the perfect balance of a dog being in a home setting it's used to while also having the security on the individual dog level of a kennel boarding facility. I have been with pets all throught our lives. I can administer oral medications if it’s needed and will be willing to give baths if asked. I would love to walk your fur baby and shower them with love. I treat the clients pet like they are my own. I am a Registered Nurse, i work 3 night shifts per week but will be at home whenever I’m not working. I will make sure that your fur babies will be well taken care. I am living in an apartment with a decent backyard. I love taking our pet for a walk during mornings and evenings for potty and playtime. I will make sure that your pets will have enough water and food for the rest of their stay. I have lots of dog beds and a crate that your pet can crash in whenever they want.
About: We are empty nesters that love our pets and have found it hard to find quality sitters for them. This has led us to open our home to pups that need a place to stay where they can be a part of our family temporarily. We work full-time during the week and are home in the evening and on weekends. My spouse works from home most days. Pets are fed in the morning and let out to play and then are fed in the evening and out for play time. Our backyard is fenced with a six-foot privacy fence. Our pets have full home access when we are home. All pets have access to water all day and are fed twice a day, We crate train our pets and do use crates for our puppy that is learning to be potty trained. All our pets are seen twice a year by our vet and get all recommended vaccines and are on flea and heartworm preventatives.
About: I have a love of all dogs, I have three of my own (bichòn frisèe, beagle lab mix, and a German shepherd) so I have experience caring for dogs of all size. I am passionate about treating animals with respect and care as if they are family and helping in anyway I can. I am an active duty military member so working with dogs offers a win, win situation for the owners, pets and me. The owners get peace of mind that their furry friend(s) is well taken care of, the pets get my unconditional attention, care and love and I get an opportunity to destress ( by doing drop ins where I feed, pet and play with the dog), and exercise. I can’t wait! I work about 5 minutes away from home so I often stop by throughout the day for bathroom breaks and play time. I also have the ability to work from home. I always treat pets and homes with cars and respect. Timeliness is included in said respect so I will ensure to be on time and prompt.
About: I've always had an animal, whether it be a dog, or a cat or even a gerbil. I get that their family, and I love them all. Just moved to the area, my husband is working full time and I’m doing my masters online. I’m available any time! I have a 4 yr old Persian cream puff cat named Yeti who loves everyone, human and not! I love all animals! I have cared for Yorkies to Great Danes and every size in between. I understand the hard work it takes to make pets feel comfortable. Whatever accommodations need to be made in your home to ensure your pets feel safe & comfortable, I am happy to abide by.
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Potosi
As always Tabby & Robert were phenomenal! It’s so great to be able to leave and know for sure that your dog will be treated as good (or sometimes better, lol) than they are at your house. I can tell he is loved on and treated like he’s part of the family. It makes my heart so happy!!

Tabby and Robert were absolutely fantastic!! This was the first time we have left our dog and we couldn’t have felt better about it. They sent pictures and videos the entire time. They treated Stark like their own. We could tell he was being loved on and played with the entire time. They even care about the little things like following the same rules you put in place at your own house so routines don’t get messed up. They made sure he had his medicine and everything. They are fantastic and responsible pet owners and sitters!! I will for sure be calling them anytime we need somebody to watch Stark again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Potosi home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Potosi.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Potosi sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
