“We couldn't be more grateful to Michaella for taking such amazing care of our dog while we were away. From the start, she made us feel completely at ease with her kind and professional approach. It was clear that our pup was not only safe, but also truly loved and cared for like one of her own. Michaella kept us updated with regular messages and the sweetest photos, which really helped us feel connected and reassured. Her communication was excellent, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. Our dog clearly adored her, and we came home to a happy, relaxed pup—which says it all. We highly recommend Michaella to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving, and responsible caregiver. She's simply the best! 🐾”

“I have absolutely no idea where to start. Tia is the best sitter that I have ever had for my boys. She pays close attention to everything, sends you pictures throughout the day, updates you of any changes in schedules and in general communicates. Before their stay, Tucker and Thor were able to meet Tia and Maverick. She is open, genuine and just overall gives off good vibes. Maverick is well behaved and acted as the welcoming committee. I just appreciate her so much. When you book with her, you will never be disappointed.”
About: Ive taken care of animals since I was around 9 years old! From guinea pigs, raccoons, cats, and dogs i love them all. I had worked at a animal rescue for over 2 years and have dealt with all sorts of personalities from the shy animals to the super energetic ones who just want want all the attention I adore them all and can assure you I will do everything in my power to accommodate your animals needs. I also can deal with any age from newborn animals to seniors. I am a stay at home wife soon to be mom so I have all the time in the world to care for your sweet animals and can work around the schedules theyre used to. I have a fenced in yard with a friendly male dog and a male cat both are neutered. I can assure you they will be comfortable in my home the only thing I ask is that the owner provides theyre own food and crating if they'd like their animal to be crated at any point. I am also open to doing in home pet sitting if you're more comfortable with that!
“Pamela can watch my baby anytime! While I was gone I barely had reception but whenever I got one, there were updates about Chase. Pics and comforting words so that I wouldn't worry too much. Chase came back happy to see us but not disengaged or traumatized. You can see she truly has a love for pets. Whenever I need a sitter, I'm looking for Pamela as my 1st option. Thank you so much for putting my family at ease.”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, both personally and professionally. I worked as a small animal veterinary technician for three years, gaining hands-on experience with dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, and personalities. Now as a stay-at-home mom with my own pups — Cooper and Jax — as well as my one year old daughter. I bring that same level of care and attention into our home every day. Living on a small farm with a pig, horses, and cows I have to have patience and consistency, and I treat every pet like part of the family. I’m confident with medications, special needs pets, and making sure each animal feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m home all day with my dogs! I make sure to take multiple leashed walks to check the farm animals, giving pups exercise, stimulation, and plenty of attention. While I don’t have a fenced yard, your dog will still get plenty of fresh air and activity! The dog(s) and I go on several leashed walks each day to check on our pig, horses, and cows — it’s a calm, country setting with lots of fun sights and smells for curious pups. All outdoor time is supervised and on-leash, and inside your pet will enjoy a cozy, family-style environment with Cooper and Buck.
“Vanessa was fantastic! It was our first time boarding with her and right off the bat we felt very comfortable with and confident in her. From her well-run acclimation process, to making her whole home available to our little guy, all the way to her filtered doggy water system--a fabulous sitter!”

About: Responsible, caring, and detail oriented. I ensure every walk or visit is safe fun and full of attention. Pets deserve love, attention, and quality care! I’m currently working a full time job and will be available for boarding and walking on most weekends. Weekdays will vary based on my schedule. I provide a safe, peaceful environment where pets feel loved and cared for. Walks are relaxed to increase happiness and fun with attention and care.
“Jacqueline did a wonderful job watching Zoey while we took a weekend trip to San Diego for a wedding. I will definitely be using her on our next trip. Highly recommend!!!”

“Sergio was kind during our meet and greet, and I appreciate that they prioritized Butterfinger’s safety when they realized he wasn’t a good fit for their home. My only criticism is that I wish we had been notified when the incident occurred rather than after I reached out for an update. Rover refunded the unused portion of the stay, and I hope they’re a great fit for dogs with different needs!! :)”

About: I have three cats and a dog plenty of space for them to be friendly or have time alone. I’ve been training my puppy for the past 10 months making great progress. always available for overnight care and dog walking on my days off just let me know what you need and we can make it work this is a pet friendly household pets allowed on couch and beds. Can mingle with my pets or if preferred can have alone time fenced in backyard and dog park.
“She could not have been more of a blessing!! This was our first time trusting our pup with anyone. Darlena made us feel so secure about our choice. She went above and beyond to help us out at last minute. Helped train our pup and we could not be happier!! Highly recommended!”

About: What makes me different from other sitters is that I naturally include training in my time with dogs. Even small things—like impulse control, manners, or minor behavioral habits—can make a big difference, and I love turning training into play. I especially enjoy working with puppies! They’re so smart, curious, and always up for a challenge. With your permission, I can help your pup start off on the right paw. Of course, if your dog just wants playtime and cuddles, I’m more than happy to provide that too. My goal is always to meet your dog’s needs and make sure they feel happy, safe, and loved while in my care. I currently have a very flexible schedule, which means I can give plenty of time and attention to your pets. I’m also available on weekends—so whether you’re heading out for a movie, a night out, or just need some time to relax, I’ll be there to make sure your furry companion is safe, happy, and well cared for. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I pay close attention to body language and always put each dog’s needs first. I do have a 3-year-old son who loves to run around, but he also knows to give dogs their space if they don’t want to play. I also share my home with a 3-year-old chocolate Lab. He’s a very sweet, easygoing boy who does great with puppies, cats, and older dogs. If your dog isn’t comfortable around others or prefers crate time, I’m happy to adjust. I can separate him and do rotational play so that your pup feels safe and cared for.

I’ve always had a genuine love for animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. 🐾🤍 I’m patient, dependable, and understand that every pet has their own personality and needs. I’m comfortable caring for puppies who need extra playtime and consistency, as well as senior dogs who may need a slower pace and a little extra attention. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine closely and make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away! I work full-time during the week, but I still have plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I’m available on weekends and can also care for pets on weekdays when I get off work. I love spending time with animals and enjoy giving them plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and lots of love while their owners are away. I’m happy to work with each pet’s routine and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for! Whether pets are staying in my home or I’m caring for them in their home, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow their normal routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and plenty of attention and cuddles. I also keep their space clean and make sure they get lots of love and companionship while their owners are away. I treat every pet like they’re my own! 🐾🤍

About: I have had pets since I was a toddler, so I have cared for those fur babies all my life. As far as experience, I have a few years of experience taking care of other peoples fur babies. From taking care of family members pets , or close friends. I have a part time job so I am home most of time taking care and spending time with my dogs. I also am enrolled in college so If I am not in class I am home doing homework. My dogs are not crate trained but they do have their own fenced little room in my living room. That room has a camera facing it so I can check in on them at random times of the day. Going into the backyard there is a porch and a small gatted area with a ramp that my dogs specifically go potty in that gets cleaned twice a week. Daily I will let my dogs go into the big part of my yard and I make sure the gate is always closed.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
98% of sitters in Poth can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Poth home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Poth.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Poth sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
