“Absolutely Fantastic. Amanda takes excellent care of your pooch and ensures they are well cared for, walked and played with. I highly recommend her for your boarding needs.”

“I cannot recommend Mel and her dog watching service enough! She is absolutely amazing with all the animals she cares for. I recently had Mel watch my dog Frank and she went above and beyond to make sure he was happy and comfortable. Mel sent me frequent videos and updates throughout the day, which truly put my mind at ease. It was so nice to see Frank having a great time and being well taken care of. Mel's love and dedication to animals is truly evident in the way she treats them. Thank you again, Mel, for taking such good care of Frank. I will definitely be using your services again in the future!”

“I left my 5 year old maltipoo for a 4 night stay with Clairece and I cannot say enough about her, from her *Terrific, prompt communications, to her *Friendly, kind approach, to her *Excellent, detailed check-ins throughout the day, which she initiated; complete with pictures and updates with several bery happy looking walks and even couch time. I especially appreciated *How much Clairece cared and loved on my pup! It was 4th of July weekend, so I anticipated my pup to be nervous. Chauncey can already be a bit fidgity and clingy to his person. No problems though! He obviously fell for Clairece😍, as every photo showed a big grin across his face and that told the whole story! Also, when Chauncey wasnt really eating his food because of separation from me, Clairece quickly pivoted to giving him fresh food with my approval. I could not have been happier with this whole experience. Will 100% use Clairece's services again! Im sure Chauncey cant wait to go back!”

“Nadine and Louie were amazing! Perfect place to leave your dogs with a peace of mind. They took care of Buzz like he was their own and kept us updated with photos through out his stay. Highly highly recommend! :)”

About: I’m a proud toy poodle mom of two, so caring for small dogs is part of my everyday life. Dogs are very special to me, especially as a deaf person—I rely on body language and visual awareness, which makes me extremely observant and attentive to a dog’s needs, behavior, and safety. What sets me apart is my patience, calm energy, and strong understanding of how dogs communicate without words. I’m especially comfortable with small breeds, shy dogs, and dogs who need gentle care. I work alongside my mom in her home childcare business, which is located right next to my house. Because of this, I am home most of the day and nearby at all times. My schedule is very flexible, and I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and supervision. Pets in my care are rarely left alone for long periods. They become part of our calm, structured daily routine and receive lots of attention and care throughout the day. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, clean, and supervised home environment. I closely monitor body language and behavior to ensure every dog feels safe and relaxed. I follow feeding schedules, give regular potty breaks, and keep pet parents updated with messages and photos. Your pet will be treated with love and care, just like my own two toy poodles.
“Thank you so much to Sandra and her family for the wonderful care and love they gave to our boy, Dodger. She was wonderful at communicating with me and keeping me updated. It truly gave me comfort and peace of mind that he was in great hands. We look forward to booking with Sandra again on our next family trip out of town. We know Dodger had the best time under her care. Thank you again Sandra and family! 💙💙💙💙”

“Hudson has stayed with Veronica three times in the past 8 months. He enjoys his time there and Veronica keeps me updated on him with texts, pictures and videos. He is happy and healthy when I pick him up. I recommend her!”

“Excellent service and very professional! She always kept me informed about how my little dog was doing and sent me photos. Blacki came back very happy after staying at her caregiver’s home. I’m truly grateful for the loving and patient care she gave my baby. I highly recommend her services 💯”

“Laurel was kind and loving to my Dobbie. This afforded me the privilege to spend time with my family where 4 legged family can’t go. She sent me photos and videos that touched my heart and let me know he was being well cared for. Thank you Laurel and Rover for making this a very positive experience. I would not hesitate to leave him in your care again.”

“We were so hesitant about leaving our fur babies with someone as we have never left them. Brittany reassured that they were in safe hands from the beginning and made their stay very enjoyable as they didn’t want to leave. I will be definitely using her in the future and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their fur babies! Thank you again!”

About: I've taken care of dogs for family, friends, and neighbors for 4 years now. I have some experience grooming others' dogs, however mostly my own. They still loved the way their buddy came out and continue to come to me! I enjoy doing this job so I decided to make it more public. Hope I can help many other people and their babies even more! I'm currently working part-time, so my schedule is open and flexible. I don't like to leave pets alone for too long, so for no more than 4 hours. Whether it's just to give them a potty break or to give them the attention they deserve. I have a fenced yard and live in a community with a dog park. How I take care of your babies is up to you. I understand every dog is different and so if their owner! So just let me know what you do for them and I will integrate it into their daily schedule. During the summer, the dogs will be kept inside an air conditioned home. Preferably when no one is home then they will be in a crate, however if they are guaranteed not to chew on personal items or pee inside, then they can roam inside freely. During winter, dogs can be kept outside, but it really depends on the owner's preferences.

About: I have over 10 + years caring for my own animals and 3+ years doing it professionally for others. I am currently offering pet sitting in your home, daily check ins, and dog walking services. Can also preform bathing. I have experience caring for birds, cats, dogs, hamsters, and fish. Excellent references available upon request. I am a long time animal lover and started caring for ducks at a young age. When I go older I begged my dad for a dog. My first dog was rescued from the streets as it seemed to be abandoned. Since then I have developed a passion for animals and taking care of them. I am currently pursuing a career in the animal field where I hope to become a vet tech.
About: Working remotely I give your pets the care and love that they deserve. More hugs! More walks! More love! More safety! In rural vt I cared for small and large homes, and medium to larger dogs. Active pets I am active. Older pets and I respite with them more. Every animal has a different personality and different needs. I care. They seem to know. lol. On a side note I volunteer with a local animal shelter and a food bank. I try to make a difference where I can. Growing up we had family dogs. It taught me how amazing animals are. I now have time to give them kindness and love as you would... When I stay in your home your pets have less stress and anxiety in a familiar place. In my home or yours, I take pets for walks and caring play time throughout my workday. This care and attention and play reduces stress and your pet may be more relaxed coming home like after a day at the spa. Yup. :-) Working from my home or yours means more care for your loved family member (aka pets)!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
