About: Currently I am between caregiving clients trying to decide what my next move is. I was born into an animal loving family, extended family, etc. I am 59 years old and have never been without at least a cat or two. I've also had 2 of my own dogs since 2005. My last senior dog passed the rainbow bridge in 2024. Born in Connecticut, lived for 45 years in Maryland and now I am living in Maine where I love it! One reason I fell in love with Maine is you can bring your dog almost anywhere here. They are a pet loving no-kill state! I have administered just about every kind of pet med out there. Every single pet has their own personality and I am very patient to learn that personality so we will become friends. I have a pretty open schedule with no real deadlines, so when ever your pets need walks, feeding, medications or just spend time with them, I am there. My own pets get feed twice a day. The time varies depending on my pet sitting schedule. But usually Its about 10am and 7pm. Whatever instructions left for me for a pet sit, I will follow to the letter. I will ask questions or text later to make sure I understand everything your pet needs. I've never run into an animal not liking me, but I am very aware of them not be comfortable with me at first. That can be stressful for them of course, so its very important that their care instructions are followed to keep them as anxiety free as possible.

Leaving a small puppy and other dog (both Basenjis) in someone else’s care can be nerve-racking, but Amanda made the entire process feel effortless and reassuring. From the start, it was clear she truly understands dogs and their personalities — especially a breed like a Basenji, which isn’t always the easiest! She was incredibly attentive, patient with our puppy, and thoughtful about making sure both dogs felt comfortable and cared for. We received regular updates and so many amazing photos, which made it clear our dogs were happy, relaxed, and getting plenty of attention. About: I have yet to meet someone who can out-dog-person me! Dogs are the best part of life. I have a German Shepherd and an English Pointer who face the brunt of my dog voice, personalized jingles, etc., - but out of respect for their patience I'm offering my services to other dogs! I have experience ranging from potty training new puppies to distributing meds to senior dogs and caring for them post-operation. I love to bring my dogs (and yours) on outdoor adventures in our midcoast community - hiking, swimming, lounging in the sun, and breaking out the snowshoes for winter. We'll wear each other out! I work at a public school and am a grad student, so I have lots of flexibility during the summer months and school vacations when folks tend to need travel care for their dogs. I'm a grad student and an educator at a public school - so I have school vacations (including summers) off. I have great availability on weekends and after 3:30 every day. I live in a small house with two big dogs (one being a senior hound), which is why I don't offer care for your pets at my own home. I will utilize whatever safety plans you put in place when I care for your pet - whether you have a dog that's great in your fenced-in backyard or a flight-risk that needs to be harnessed and leashed.

About: We each have over 8 years of experience caring for dogs and cats for family and friends. We truly love animals and enjoy giving them dependable, loving care while your away! We both have flexible schedules, so pet care fits easily into our daily routine. We’re home most of the day, which allows us to give pets regular walks, playtime, and attention. We’re able to follow each pet’s normal routine and keep things as consistent as possible. We take safety very seriously. We follow all instructions, keep a secure environment, and make sure pets are always supervised, especially on walks or outdoors. We respect our clients’ homes and routines, and we keep owners updated so they can trust their pet is in good hands.

About: I have taken care of animals since I was a little girl. I love all sorts of pets. I have taken care of puppies and kittens all the way to senior animals.
