“We “emergency adopted” a cat a few days before going on a trip and needed to find a pet sitter quick. Enter Lauren, a literal angel in the form of a cat sitter. Not only was she super professional and friendly, she also kept extra watch over our cat when the lil man decided to eat something he wasn’t supposed to. Her expertise as a vet tech makes her an excellent pick for new pet parents, and we totally would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I’ve helped someone with a dog sitting business for the past two years and liked it so much that I decided do it in my home as well. I have three cats and three dogs of my own. I love getting to meet other people’s pets and helping them. My availability varies week to week depending on if I need to travel for work. If I’m at home then I typically do morning walks along with midday potty breaks and then another walk in the evening. I do not have a fenced in yard so I will walk the dogs on leashes for exercise. I can offer a crate, pen, or a private room depending on the necessities of each pet. I have pets of my own but will keep the animals separated if necessary.
“Brittney was WONDERFUL to our precious dogs. It’s hard to leave our pets w just anyone, but we will definitely use Brittney again for boarding. She sent us loads of photos and videos that soothed our concerns so we could enjoy our vacation. Home now and I think our dogs already miss her!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals all my life and love them all they are amazing creatures and I think they are all deserving of love I have no other jobs at the moment so I can watch them at all time and pay full attention to your pet and will take care of them any way I can i I have a fenced yard and one main dog that I also watch at the moment but I will still keep full attention on your animals and I can accommodate for any change on schedule

About: I have grown up with animals all my life, I’ve given many baths and walked many dogs. I just love animals so much. Thank you! I work at Academy sports and Outdoors part time in poplar bluff, 20-30 hours a week. I can make the most of watching everybody’s loving babies!! I have two loving cats in my home. I do not have a fence so I do need the dogs to be leash trained. And I prefer the animals to be potty trained because unfortunately I can’t bring them to work with me.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
