“Kari was amazing. She loved my dogs, sent photos, walked the GSD, accepted packages, and mowed the yard. I could not have asked for anyone better, and I’ll book her for my next trip. Communication was great, and I have no hesitation about using her again.”

About: Hi, I'm Tresa, and I have enjoyed being around animals my whole life! I have cared for dogs of all ages and sizes, cats, reptiles, rabbits, horses, goats, chickens, and even bison. I am a fully certified local elementary school teacher with a completely open, flexible schedule until August 1st. Because I am currently on summer break and do not have any pets or children of my own, your animals will receive 100% of my dedicated attention, routines, and care.As a professional educator, I am background-checked, highly organized, and deeply responsible. I specialize in overnight house sitting and daytime drop-in visits. Whether your pet needs a strict medication schedule, long walks, or just a calm companion to prevent separation anxiety, I treat your home and your pets with the utmost respect. I look forward to giving you peace of mind during your summer travels! Because I am currently on summer break and fully off from teaching until August 1st, pet care is my primary focus and fits seamlessly into my schedule. This means I can work seamlessly with you pet's schedule and needs. As an educator, I know that routine equals safety and comfort for animals, just like it does for students. When staying in your home, my top priority is maintaining absolute consistency so your pet experiences zero stress while you are away.
About: I have owned dogs all my life, little ones to large dogs. I enjoy what dogs have to offer us humans and their own unique personalities. I will walk your dog, take them to the dog park or just come and hang out with them so they are not alone all day. I know how some dogs have issues with separation anxiety and I would like to help with that. I want their humans to feel more at ease while their away at work or vacation. Resorts can be stressful for some fur babies. I have experience working in veterinary clinics and pet resorts. I am able to give meds to the pet if needed. I'm available any time during the day and most weekends. If you have questions, please feel free to email me or call! Currently working full time but that doesn’t take away from taking care of your fur babies. I am able to drop in visits or in house sitting. I would prefer staying at the clients home. It is less stressful on the pet. I have a full house so may be uncomfortable for them.
“Hannah was such a great sitter. She sends updates every day and really took the stress out of our trip. She’s thoughtful and courteous and made sure to take the time to meet our girl before the sit began. We’ll certainly be booking her again!”

“Casey was great at communicating all the way from when we were looking for someone to pet sit all the way through her stay. She would send us pictures of the kitty crew. 😺 She stayed the night at our home while we were away. Would definitely use Casey again!”

About: I have experience through my own rescue puppy and Pet Smarts training program training and raising him from 6 weeks old to now just shy of 8 months old. I also have a 6 year old husky named Zeus, and have helped take care of my parents elderly dog Chuey who unfortunately has a collapsed trachea and arthritis. Having labs throughout my childhood, I've also had to care for dogs in the midst of a seizure. I am currently working part time on a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to love and care for your precious furry friends! Due to having a puppy in training myself, as well as other animals in the house I am not boarding. However, I can house/pet sit, walk, feed, and play virtually any time! I love to tend to whatever needs are specific to your animal! If they need a lot of enrichment or they are very energetic, I have so much fun getting that lovely energy out with them! If they need more rest, gentle care, and supervision, I'm more than happy to carefully love your baby with lots of soft pets! Walks are also essential to any dog's routine, and I promise to take long ones when needed. As for cats, I strive to keep their environment as clean as possible so they can be more comfortable and hygienic.
“Kelley is so wonderful with Atlas! We loved the progress reports, and we appreciated her updates and perspectives on Atlas since his neuter. We love when she brings her dog to play with Atlas, so she doesn't have to be away from her baby while she watches ours. We truly appreciated her coordination with the second Rover sitter and the handoff of Atlas while we were away. We received regular photos and updates, always feel confident in her arrival/departure times and her communication, and she leaves the sweetest "welcome home" notes. As always, can't wait to book her again!”

“Alex was a great pet sitter over the holidays. She was a good communicator and helped with all the things around the house that needed to be done. Our two cats and dog were well taken care of.”

“Kelly was awesome! I can't even say enough good things about her! She stayed with our 3 basset hounds while we went out of town for a week. She is great at communicating and kept in touch with pictures and videos while we were gone. She took great care of our home and dogs while we were on vacation, and took away our worry of having to leave our babies. We arrived home to happy pets and a clean home! We will definitely be using her for our future pet sitting needs!”

About: Hello! My name is Malia Bryant. I’m a second‑year law student looking for a summer side hustle that lets me spend more time with animals. I’ve been passionate about animals of all kinds and sizes for as long as I can remember, and I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I’ve had my own dog for seven years and walk him every day, rain or shine. Caring for him as an adopted dog with both behavioral and health concerns has given me extensive experience with anxious, reactive, or special‑needs pets and the extra patience they sometimes require. I’m reliable, detail‑oriented, and used to balancing a demanding law school schedule with daily pet care, so you can trust that your pet’s routine will be followed closely. Whether you need regular walks, drop‑in visits, or overnight care, I’m excited to meet your animal(s) and treat them like my own. If you have any questions, special instructions, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s specific needs. I am on summer break from law school, so I have plenty of time and a flexible schedule for walks, drop‑in visits, and pet sitting. I focus on safety, routine, and clear communication in both my home and my client’s home. I follow each pet’s feeding, walk, and play schedule, stick to owner instructions (including meds and leash rules), and keep the space clean and secure while sending regular updates.

Animals are a true gift and I believe they all have a unique and special way of communicating with us. Through energy, body language, vocalization and behaviors. If we take the time to slow down and understand each animal for who they are, we can learn so much! I truly look forward to getting to know your fur babies and treating them as my own. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule! Plenty of time for walks, snuggles and backyard playtime. I am home most weekends and can accommodate extended stays or last minute pet care needs. I have a fenced in yard and plenty of room indoors for your pets to relax. I have 1 neutered male dog named Floki that is very well behaved and will love the company of your pets.
“Brooke is a keeper!! She cared for and loved on our dog and home, and left them both in better shape than she found them, lol! FAQs for House Sitting - Poolville
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 670 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Poolville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Poolville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Poolville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Poolville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Poolville. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
