About: Hi! My name is Marissa, I’m 29 years old, and I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I’m caring, dependable, patient, and attentive, and I understand just how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with a member of your family. I recently completed my Associate of Arts in Psychology, which has been an important personal accomplishment for me. While my education has focused on people, patience, communication, understanding behavior, and paying attention to individual needs are qualities I also bring into the way I care for animals. I have around 20 years of personal experience caring for dogs and more than five years of experience helping care for other people’s pets. I do my best to maintain each pet’s normal feeding, exercise, potty, medication, and sleep schedule so their routine is disrupted as little as possible while you’re away. I also have my own dog, Flicka, so caring for animals is already a part of my everyday life! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow all instructions you provide regarding feeding, medications, potty routines, walks, behavioral needs, household rules, and anything else that helps your pet feel comfortable and secure. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both your home and your pet’s established routine. I make sure doors, gates, leashes, harnesses, and other safety measures are secure, and I never assume that every animal has the same needs or comfort level. For pets staying in my home, I have my own dog, Flicka. Because every dog has a different personality, I want to make sure everyone will be comfortable together before an extended stay. sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
