About: Hi, I’m Ashleigh! I’m a lifelong dog lover based in Northeastern Connecticut. My two chocolate Labrador Retrievers are truly part of my family, and they’ve been by my side for the past 10 years. Growing up with family pets and later becoming a dog owner myself has given me years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages and personalities. Before having children, I spent five years fostering dogs and puppies through Wings of Freedom Dog Rescue. During that time, I welcomed many dogs into my home, helping them adjust to new environments while providing the love, patience, and care they needed before finding their forever families. I understand that every dog is unique, and I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality, routine, and needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply wants companionship and cuddles, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family members! As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable, attentive care throughout the day. Caring for animals has always been a part of my daily routine, and I’m able to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. My days are structured around being home, which means I can be dependable and available to meet your pet’s needs while keeping you updated with photos and messages for peace of mind. When caring for pets, safety is always my top priority. I follow each owner’s instructions closely and do my best to keep pets on their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. During walks and drop-in visits, I always make sure dogs are properly leashed before opening any doors, and I double-check gates, food, water, and any special instructions before I leave. I’m also comfortable giving medications if needed and will send photo and text updates after each visit so owners know how their pet is doing. For boarding and daycare, pets are cared for in my home as part of the family. I have two very friendly chocolate Labs who enjoy being around other dogs. Because I do not have a fenced yard, all outdoor time is supervised and dogs are always kept on a leash for potty breaks and exercise. I also have two young children (7 months and 4 years old), so I only accept dogs that are comfortable in a family environment. I understand that every dog has different needs, and I’m happy to accommodate the owner’s preferences. Guest dogs can sleep in a dog bed or in a crate, depending on what they are used to at home. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and low-stress environment where pets feel cared for while their owners are away.

About: I have taken care of family/friends dogs for over 13 years. I have done drop in visits, over night stays and just dog walking. I have worked with all different breeds, sizes and ages! I have experience with puppies, senior pets, and dogs with different energy levels and temperaments. Whether that means reinforcing house-training and basic commands with a puppy, administering medications to a senior pet, or simply providing plenty of exercise and companionship, I tailor my care to each animal's needs. I love taking pictures of our furry friends so ill always be sure to keep you updated when im with them! I'm currently working full time but I can always do drop in visits and dog walking after work hours during the week and on weekends my availability is pretty much wide open on Saturdays and Sundays (typically when I take my own pet for adventures so if you have a busy dog who loves walks/hiking im your girl) We have an open yard, our own pup is well trained on her boundaries however for any pets not my own they stay on a 20 foot long line and walked around the property. Inside they are free to roam the house, however if needed crates are available for use. If ever unattended dogs will always be in a crate for their safety.

I grew up on a 118-acre hobby farm, where caring for animals was part of everyday life and where my passion for animal care first began. I went to school to become a veterinary assistant and have continued working with animals throughout my adult life, giving me experience with a wide range of breeds, temperaments, and care needs. I’m comfortable with senior pets, administering medications, high-energy dogs, and animals that may need extra patience, attention, or specialized care. At home, I have two dogs and a cat of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you truly trust with your pets. I treat every animal like family and strive to provide reliable, attentive, and compassionate care while you’re away. My son is currently in morning preschool, I can drop in anytime between 6:30-12 and again in the afternoon and/or evening. My availability is pretty flexible.
