About: 🩷 I have been around dogs since I was very young! With that being said, I currently have one of my own and have watched many dogs and cats for friends and family! I absolutely love spending time with animals and making it a priority that they feel special and loved! Your animals will love me! 🩷 *SCHEDULE CHANGE* I am now working Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM. I am still available after work and all day on Saturdays & Sundays. Thank you so much! My dog is trained to stay in my yard and has free roam of the house. He is spoiled with treats, many toys, and so much love! I will provide your animals the careful attention they require to meet your unique demands.

About: My experience has been mostly my family and friends. I have taken their animals on walks, bathed them, fed them, played with them. Took them to parks and even trained them on new skills. Since I just graduated I have very open availability and ready to help. I am very organized and dependable, I value time management, my career/education, and most importantly taking care of people and animals. I am currently waiting for the new school year to roll around and continue my education so my schedule is free. I wake up early to work out but that time can be flexible depending on if I have a pet to watch. I keep the animals on the schedule they are used to. Feed them, fill water, walks, clean behind them, playtime, medicine if they need. Also litter box maintenance for cats. Also making sure we’re safe in the house and my phone near me to contact the owners if needed.
About: I've had multiple pets for the past 15 years. My husband and I have 3 cats and recently just adopted a 3 month old German Shepherd/Rottweiler pup that we’re absolutely in love with. I understand the importance of having play time for pets and will be more than willing to play a near endless game of fetch and anything else to help stretch their legs - and if your furbabies prefer to just snuggle for a bit and get some love, I am perfectly content with that, too! I am currently living in Green Park and have flexible availability, including both weekdays and weekends. I am able and willing to pet-sit, as well. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to message me and ask. I'm a pretty friendly, outgoing, and energetic person who just loves animals (: I currently am only working in-person on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday so I have some flexibility to meet your pets’ needs. I can easily help on weeknights, as well. My backyard is fully fenced. If your pet does better in a crate, I am okay with doing this as well if it is what you do in your own environment. Anything I can do to keep your pet on their normal routine with you is what I strive to do. Consistency helps a lot with pets being in a different environment or just with a different person in general.
About: I hope to make your pets feel comfortable and loved while their beloved owner is away. I have plenty of experience with animals being I have grown up with various pets. Whether it is for 30 minutes or 4 days I plan to love your pets as if they were my own! I currently do not have any pets of my own but my roommate has a medium sized dog but if I’m pet sitting they most likely won’t be home. I am a very outgoing and energetic person, I also enjoy being outside a lot. I hope to bring your furry friend to one of the many dog parks nearby. I like all animals small or big and would love to spend some time with your furry besties! If you have any questions or concerns feel free to email me or message me on here! Talk soon! :) I just moved to the city so my schedule is all open but I plan on getting a part time or full time job in the future I allow pets on furniture and beds we also have lots of extra toys. I am fully capable of feeding, walking, and covering play time. I also can implement good behavior training (non professional) but just basic sit, stay, paw. Please let me know if you are not comfortable with me taking photos of your pup or kitty ( I like to use them for my profile to show my diverse set of ‘clientails’) but of course that is up to you :)
About: I have lots of animals and lots of love. I am great with all animals and even insects, reptiles and more. I am local to Crete, Illinois. I work a remote job, full-time job, so I am extremely flexible with your needs. I take care of my cats bright and early and throughout the day. **NOTE** I work a seasonal, part-time, job for the International Hotrod Association (IHRA) Spring-Summer, therefore, my booking will be closed and reopen over the winter-time. I practice proper training, obedience, proper health care, lots of love and more. I use this application to provide services and also book services for my pets as well, so I expect my care provider to give the same top notch care for my fur babies.

“Hey there. My name is pattie and Jordan came to walk both of my dogs. He was great! His communication couldn’t have been any better. My dogs are like my children, so I love to know when he arrives, leaves and filled the dog bowls with food and water. He was very attentive. I will gladly be rebooking in the future.”

About: I have taken care of all sizes and temperaments of animals for 6 years, no one is too much to handle! I am very gentle, playful, loving, and energetic; i tailor myself to the pet's specific personality to make them feel comfortable as possible while their parents are away! As a bus driver, I am available to care for your pet(s) between 10am-1pm, then after 5pm on any given week day. All weekend I can give completely undivided attention! I also have every holiday break and all of summer vacation off. I am only open to sitting at other people's home's; i do not have the space, facilities, or amiable enough cat to take in new animals as it stands! As for clients homes, I am capable of taking care of up to 5-7 animals at one time from experience. Care can look like oral medicine administration needs, basic grooming schedules, potty training clean-up, as many walks as needed, and even weighing out food/having specific foods per animal if necessary!
About: My husband and I are very unique. We would have a farm if we could. We live in a smaller home, but have so much love between our pets and kids. I hope we can raise our 3 kids to love animals as much as we do. I have been a pet sitter for about 15 years, but grew up in a house of animals. My family's huge animal lovers. I have stayed for weeks at a time with families, dog walked, issued medicine to pets, and just simply stopped in to let them out and hang for a bit. We have had dogs and cats stay with us while families are on vacation and made it work perfectly. My kids knowing they are small, are great w the animals too. I am just excited to make your fur baby feel safe and loved while you're away. *Update: We just added bathing and nail clipping as an add on option! My husband's mom owned the Canine Clipper that was in business for over 30 years. He grew up as cheap labor for 15 years in the shop washing, drying and trimming nails of any cats and dogs that came. We do not offer grooming services as that is not in our wheelhouse. Have you pet come home feeling and smelling fresh! I just had our new baby born on August 8th this year. I have three boys that I am obsessed with. I love being a boy mama 💙 I am a personal trainer but have cut back on hours so I can hang w my kids while they are young. I sometimes forget about how I was a nanny for 10 years and a dog sitter for about 15. I would love to do my passion again knowing I have so much more free time at home. My 5 year old is in school all day, my 3 year old has preschool twice a week for 2 hrs, and my newborn just goes for the ride. I'm always home on the weekends, and during the week I'm always looking to do something-which I would love to show my kids how to treat animals. If your pet is not good w kids, I can also drop them off w their grandma for a bit. I always make it happen ❤️ She loves some grandson time. All our pets are spoiled because they are our family too. Our dogs have dog beds all around, even though they sleep on couches and beds w us. The cats have cat towers and toys and get the free range of the house. We used to have a nanny because I wanted someone here for the kids, but also the pets. It always made me feel better knowing someone would always be there for them too.

“Gillian communicates well and answers my messages in a timely fashion. She is on time for her visits. My pup Ransom is usually hesitant the first few times around a new sitter, but warmed to Gillian and went on a walk with her no problem. Thank you.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for my entire life. I’ve spent many years working at a vet clinic so I am comfortable with all animals. My work can be done from anywhere so I am available most times. If I’m caring for a pet in a clients home, the first thing I want to do is spend some time letting the pet get to know me. About: Hi! I’ve had dogs my entire life and truly understand that every pup is different. I trained my own stubborn Yorkie with patience and consistency, and I currently care for my senior Golden Retriever who has hip issues so I’m experienced with both energetic young dogs and gentle, slower-paced seniors. Whether your dog needs structured walks, positive reinforcement, or a calm and patient pace, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, understood, and happy every step of the way. I treat every dog like my own and always prioritize safety, communication, and making sure you feel completely comfortable while your pup is in my care. I’d love to meet your best friend! 🐶💛 Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I have a very open and flexible schedule. I prioritize staying active and structured in my days — I regularly go to the gym and attend Bible study — which allows me to consistently plan walks and drop-ins throughout the day. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening walks, including weekends, and I’m happy to accommodate last-minute or same-day requests when possible. As a lifelong dog owner, I understand how important trust is, and I treat every dog with the same patience and care I give my own.

About: I have a shetland sheepdog named Bandit he is only 2yrs old and so rambunctious and is eager to always learn but is snippy at times. He is hyper and loves to play, I walk him twice a day an play with him for 2 hours per day and on the weekend I take him to a dog park to play with the other dogs he absolutely loves it. I’m good with special needs dogs if there are any I work with. I also work with horses and my hobbies include horseback riding and drawing. I also like music and I’m trying to get in shape so running with your dog should help me with that. I work full time right now and only have a few days of the week off but I’m a early riser and love to get the day rolling with a early morning walk with my dog. I always ask for vet info, address, name of clinic and a second phone number if I can’t get ahold of you I ask what your dogs quirks could be or if there’s anything that would catch me off guard.

I will take exceptional care of your pet. Available 7 days a week and accept last min bookings. If I’m not physically available I have someone readily available to get your pet until I am available. About: I have experience caring for a variety of pets with different needs and routines. I have taken care of a 1-year-old cat along with 3 other adult cats, including a cat who required at least 30 minutes of playtime and interaction every day. I have also cared for a large dog who ate home-cooked soup mixed with his food at specific feeding times, as well as a husky who stayed in an air-conditioned dog house unit and required daily vitamins and attentive care. I am good at following direction for the desired care you and your pet need. I work remotely and any activities I plan I would plan around a schedule if at all with the pet in mind. I will plan in advance for the openings I have in my schedule to permit me to be with the pet. I typically stay in the pets home to create a less stressful environment for the pet and go about its daily routine as instructed by the pet owner. I will stay as long as required by the pet owner or stay in a guest bedroom all day depending on what makes the pet owner most comfortable with.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Polk. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Polk.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Polk. On Rover:
- 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
