About: I've worked with animals most of my life! I have raised trained and shown dogs. 40 years in the Veterinary Field , now retired, and rescues. I Have worked with and owned birds, rodents, reptiles, and aquatics. (fish salamanders, turtles and I even own an Axolotle!) Your pets will be well cared for and loved, as they are all a part of who I am. In your home, I will also not only clean up after myself, but water your plants, collect your mail, and fill bird feeders if needed. Since Iv Just moved to Washington State, I am going to add Chickens and some small farm animals, as well as other exotics! Iv cared for many types of critters over the years! Unfortunatly, I can no longer care for the larger farm animals, but smaller are fine! I am retired, so I have alot of free time. I will need to have a little time, occasionally, if I stay in your home, to run an errand, to the store, appointment, or a few hours of charity work, but that's all, the rest of the time will be given to your pets needs. And they will not be alone for extended hours. When I am in your home, I will need some time daily to run errands if needed. Essentially, I will do my best to stick to your pets normal routine, with a little extra spoiling and play time if allowed. No dog will be allowed off lead, when leaving house, unless you have good fencing and request it. All cats must remain indoors, unless the cat is specifically out door cat. I will need a written exclusion if it is. All caged animals must have clean and proper caging, depending on needs and length of stay, I can clean them for you. Aquatics shall be the same, I can change filters and treat, but not water changes.

Whether you're heading out of town, working long hours, or just need an extra helping hand, I'd love the opportunity to care for your pets! 🐾 Reliable ❤️ Compassionate 📸 Daily Updates 🏡 Serving Spokane and surrounding areas Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. As a mom, I'm already used to having a structured schedule, which makes it easy for me to prioritize feeding times, walks, playtime, and check-ins. I have a flexible schedule and can provide morning, afternoon, and evening care depending on your pet's needs. I love being active outdoors, so walks and playtime are something I truly enjoy. I also understand how important consistency is for pets, and I'm happy to follow their usual routines to help them feel comfortable and cared for while you're away. Providing updates and photos is also something I enjoy so owners can have peace of mind knowing their pets are happy and well cared for. I believe every pet deserves to feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their family is away. Whether I'm caring for pets in my client's home or my own, I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and needs. In a client's home, I follow their feeding schedule, provide fresh water, take dogs for walks, clean up after pets, administer medications if needed, and make sure they receive plenty of playtime, affection, and attention. I also send regular photo and text updates so owners have peace of mind. I understand that every pet is different—some love to play and be active, while others prefer a calm environment and extra cuddles. My goal is to keep their routine as consistent as possible so they feel happy, comfortable, and cared for while you're away.
About: I’ve been a pet sitter/house sitter for 3 years now and I absolutely love it! From feeding the animals, providing them daily exercise, and managing medications, I have it all! I also have a fur baby of my own who is 5 years old. I love to be able to pet sitting/house sit over the weekend. I work my primary job during the week, so I live to be able to spend some time with animals on the weekend and help other people enjoy there weekends away! I currently do not live in a fenced yard, so up only offer in home pet sitting services at the moment. But I hope to one day expand upon this.
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was in elementary school. I absolutely love making sure they have the best care! I can't wait to meet your fur babies! I am currently working part time. We will be moving to 23 acres where the dogs I take care of can run around and play. I make sure I take time to get to know the pets and make them feel comfortable whether they are in my home or yours.

About: Hello everyone! I'm Abby, I've been around dogs all my life from puppies to senior dogs including medically complex fur babies. In my photos, the brown dog was my fur baby for 4 years a rescue that ended up with cancer, me and him fought for 2 of those 4 years before having to say goodbye, I do not currently have any pets. I am currently an online university student, so I have tons for free time to watch your fur babies, and to play with them so they won't be lonely while y'all are gone. For house sitting I'm down for whatever, for the drop in Sun-Sat 7am-3pm. I will treat the babies like family to play, walk, and spoil with lots of love. If wanted I will send updates and photos of the fur babies as I understand the anxiety of being away from your pets and wondering if they are okay.
“Katelyn took great care of our pups when we were away at a wedding for the weekend. I was initially worried that we wouldn’t be able to find a sitter who would work well with our older dog, who is quite anxious and reactive, but he took very well to her during the meet-and-greet and they got along great! She also put us at ease with regular detailed reports along with photos and videos to let us know our babies were safe and happy. I would definitely recommend Katelyn for pet sitting, and have already re-booked her for our next trip out of town.”

About: Hey there! My name is Jordan. I’ve been caring for animals for the last decade, and have had pets my whole life. I love every animal as if they were my own and will stop at nothing to keep them safe while under my care. I specialize in large and XL breeds - I’m strong, experienced, and totally comfortable handling big dogs with confidence. While dogs are my main focus, I’m happy to care for animal pals of all varieties. I’ve cared for both newborn and elderly dogs and can accommodate special feeding and medication needs. If you have a gentle giant who needs a sitter that isn’t intimidated by their size, I’d love to meet them! I’m fully available Monday through Saturday and can typically accommodate short notice requests during those days. Sundays are more limited, but I’m often able to make exceptions on a case-by-case basis, just reach out and ask! My goal is for every interaction to be safe and stress free - for both the dog and you. For walks, I focus on structure and control while still giving your dog plenty of time to sniff, explore, and enjoy themselves. For drop-ins, I respect that I’m a guest in your home and will follow your instructions and routines exactly as you’ve laid them out. For house sitting, I treat your home and pets with the same care as my own - sticking to your dog’s regular schedule for feeding, walks, and playtime, while keeping your home secure while you’re away. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or special requests. I’m happy to adapt to whatever works best for you and your pet!

“Tierra is very professional and takes great care of our two dogs and house, even dealing with some unexpected messes and our handful of a new rescue pup. Thank you; highly recommend!”

My schedule is now much more open and I have the flexibility to offer reliable care without the unpredictable long hours of a busy clinic environment Whatever works best for you and your pets, works best for me! I offer a full range of services, including check-ins for potty breaks, meals, and playtime, as well as overnight stays.
“Leah was great! I was a little worried about our male cat because he gets stressed out and has to be on special medications (and is a little feisty). Leah was so patient with him! And was able to administer his meds with no issues. It definitely gave me a peace of mind. Our other cat seemingly warmed right up to Leah and was a sweetheart. Leah was super reliable, responsive, and sent us cute photos of our cats to ease our mind while on vacation.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pocahontas Bay. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
