“As always did a great job, I know my chickens are in good hands. One of them had an unavoidable, unforeseeable health problem during her visit and she notified me immediately and took care of the problem for me until I could get back, which I really appreciated.”

“Lynnette was great!! We connected easily at our meet-up and it put me at ease since this was my first time using Rover. We needed a little extra care since our kitty had some recent health issues and Lynn was available to meet the need of 2 visits per day. She communicated well while we were away assuring us that everything was ok with our boy. I would totally book her again if the need arises!!”

“I cannot recommend Viridianne enough! This is the second time she watched my cat. She was absolutely amazing with my cat, who is typically very shy and nervous around new people. Her patience and kindness brought him out of his shell. She spent so much quality time with him, making sure he felt safe and comfortable. I also really appreciate the daily updates and pictures-knowing he was in such good hands gave me so much piece of mind. If you're looking for someone who truly cares about animals and goes above and beyond, she is the one to choose! She also is an amazing person. Thank you Viridianne!”

“Tiffany was fabulous! My skittish cockapoo fell in love with her. That's saying a lot about the person she is with dogs. My two pugs couldn't get enough of her. Definitely a great dog sitter!!”

“Siara is great! She has taken care of our cats twice now and I know we’re always in good hands with her. She’s Kind, very friendly, prompt and communicates beautifully while caring for our cats. We will most definitely call her again.”

“Samantha was great. Took care of my cat and fish in a timely manner. Had pictures uploaded to Rover so I could see her. If she’s available I will use her again to care for my animals.”

About: As someone who was raised on a fully functioning farm, animal husbandry has been a part of my daily routine since I could walk! I have experience with almost every domestic animal under the sun, but dogs and cats have always been very personal to me. I would love to extend my love for pets to you and your fur family by caring for them as I would my own. Caring for pets is my full time job! I am highly flexible and usually able to accommodate whatever you and your furbabies need. When house sitting, I will need to leave at least once a day to check in at my house, but otherwise your pets have my full attention. I want your pets to be safe and happy. I am willing to take on whatever routine you have established to make your time away as easy on your pets as possible. Safety and fun are my top priorities!

“Jessica was great! She took great care of our boston terrier while we were gone for the entire day. She contacted us if there was a problem related to information we had failed to explain and sent pictures and a report on Twig’s care. She is very knowledgeable about animal care and I felt very relaxed with her caring for Twig! We would highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve had pets of all sizes, shapes, and needs. I’d love to take your dog for a walk, feed your bearded dragon, or snuggle with your cat. Working from home allows me the flexibility to give special attention or break for a walk any time of day! Your pet will love laying at my feet, exploring my fenced in back yard, or getting some exercise on a walk around town. I have a fenced in yard and an old, friendly dog and 3 cautious cats to keep your pet company. Your pet will have run of the house like they’re at home. I am happy to crate your pet if that is your preference.

About: I have always had a love for animals. I worked in the veterinary field for about 10 years. I have owned animals of my own since I was a small child. I aspire one day to become a certified dog trainer. I have pet sit everything from cats and dogs to goats and sheep. I do work full time but my father lets the dogs out at lunch time. I’m home by 5:30 so if it’s at my house it will be able to play from when I get home until the next morning. If the pet is not staying with me I will go before and after work and stay over if need be. My pets are extremely well cared for. Up to date on all vaccinations and flea medications. They all get plenty of exercise and have free range of the house when someone is home. They sleep in bed with me at night. I have a large fenced in yard for them to play. They are crated when someone is not home for their safety and to keep them out of trouble.

About: I have done pet/house sitting for friends and family. I am a certified Veterinary Assistant with 5+ years of knowledge and experience with animals in a professional setting. I received my certification for Veterinary Assisting at Patrick Henry Community College. I am a pet mom of 3 dogs and one cat. I have fostered and had many pets over the years from fish to dogs and cats, to chickens and even goats and horses. I have worked in a boarding facility, have plenty of experience in giving medications and emergency care, and I have also worked and volunteered at an ASPCA. Due to my veterinary experience I am familiar with many different dog breeds of all shapes, sizes and behaviors, and I have a lot of experience with cats. I am very knowledgeable in pet illnesses and their symptoms and can identify any possible issues right away. I’ll treat your pet like they are my own, and I understand the need to be comforted knowing your pets are being well taken care of while you are away. Expect to get lots of pictures from me! I have a flexible schedule, as I am currently self employed as a photographer. I only take on a couple of photography clients per week. I am no longer an active veterinary assistant, but I still have all of the knowledge I collected over the years. I care for each pet based on their specific needs. Feeding/watering/giving treats, walking/playing, potty breaks, administering medications, all as instructed by the pet parent. I like to create a check list for what needs to be done. I will also clean up any potty accidents that may occur.

About: I have fostered stray cats and dogs since I was a kid, which has given me loads of experience loving some four-legged monsters ;) As your sitter, I aim to be beyond trustworthy and get to know your pet as well as you do! Whether you need me to match or balance their energy, I will keep track of all expectations. Also, I used to work at a petting zoo and so I am used to all kinds of things! I am consistently available in the early mornings and late afternoons. My obligations during the weekdays start at 11 and either last 2 or 4 hours. I will totally elaborate more on my schedule in our conversations and figure out what works best for your pet, either with walking, sitting, or visits. I come from a family with very high expectations for pet sitters, and it would be important to me to discuss with you the comfort level on what tasks I do to clean up after the pets or take care of the space while you are gone. I intend to achieve any expectations and I believe communication is always the first step to that!

“Kaitlin did an excellent job checking on my cat every day for 7 days. She did all the things I asked her to do from cleaning the litter box to giving Lucy treats. Not only did she do all this but she was so faithful to report to me everyday and send me pictures daily. I’d never used Rover before but I surely will again. Excellent experience and Kaitlin was wonderful.”

Malcolm L.
“Malcolm Lofton has been around dogs since he was a itty-bitty thing. The family was very big on animals, especially dogs. That’s why it made sense that Malcolm got one of his own and his name is Nipsey and he is the sweetest boy ever. And speaking for him, I know that a big thing for him was to have a pitbull, which Nipsey is because growing up a lot of people would say that pitbulls are an aggressive breed, A statement that never ran true because it depends on the owners and I personally believe that’s why Malcolm got a pitbull because he wanted to show that with a good owner pitbull’s are the best pets! They say a dog is a man’s best friend, but if you saw Malcolm and Nipsey interact, they are like best friends, like brothers/Siblings and have the cutest relationship ever, which is not hard to believe because Malcolm has always been a great companion for dogs and vice versa.”
