I proudly serve Charlottesville, Crozet and surrounding areas. This area is ideal for nature loving dogs who enjoy walking on peaceful nature trails, running and chaising squirrels, playing and exercising. Senior dogs or puppies, playful or calm, shy or anxious- every dog is welcomed here with love and personalised attention. Our home is located on five peaceful acres of wooded land, creating a quiet retreat for the dogs in our care where your furry friends will be on vacation enjoy walking, running and exercising in nature environment. We have large corral for dog's exercises. Our big backyard deck is fenced. One of dogs favorite places in our retreat is screened balcony with charming forest views, where they love to relax, watch birds, wildlife, and enjoy the calming sounds of forest. Many dogs love spending time here simply observing the nature. We have plenty of room inside where your friend can play and watch DOGTV channel with me and my husband. Your friend will be surrounded with an abundance of personalized attention and love. I am committed to keep communication open, sending photos and updates a few times a day. My goal is to give every dog calm, safe and loving environment so owner can travel with compIete peace of mind. About: Lifelong dog owner with decades of experience caring for dogs both big and small. I work from home and am able to provide constant care and plenty of exercise. I am happy to host dogs from different families if they are friendly, but I am also happy to host your dog(s) alone. Boarders or daycare get at least two to three 30+ min walks/day, dozens of photos, and lots of love of course! I provide toys, bowls, a dog bed, treats, poop bags and a backup leash. A tired dog is a good dog :) feel free to bring your pet’s crate if you’d like! I grew up with border collies and labs, then rescued my own dogs in adulthood. One of my rescues was a very sick 3-month old puppy that I raised, so I am well-versed with puppy care. I do not currently have pets living in the home, so your dogs will have the run of the place! I own my own home on a quiet circle street. My yard is an expansive quarter acre of grass with access to miles of mowed walking paths off my backyard. When a visit starts, I like to take the dogs on a “Welcome Walk” to get acquainted in neutral outdoor space. I prioritize safety and clear communication (with owners and dogs!) to create a comfortable experience for all. I look forward to taking care of your wonderful pets! I work from home, so I am flexible for drop-ins, last-minute needs, or regular walks, and can give your dog consistent companionship…and some fun of course! Rain or shine, I am happy to take them out. I provide a treats (if allowed), a dog bed, bowls, toys and backup leash (but I prefer you bring the leash your dog is familiar with!). Please feel free to bring a crate if you’d like to crate your dog! When a visit starts, I like to take the dogs on “Welcome Walk” where we get acquainted in the great outdoors. This allows me to build our bond in neutral space with plenty of positive stimulation for the dogs. I prioritize safety and clear communication (with owners and dogs!) to create a comfortable experience for all. I have used the clicker training method in the past, and do not believe in any form of domineering or physical correction. Your dog will have a stable experience here!

About: I’ve had a dog my entire life except for a few very lonely months in 2020 after I lost the love of my life, Romey, the naughtiest lab with the best sense of humor. I grew up with labs (mostly ) but now have Gizmo, a labrodoodle , who will soon become BDE (best dog ever) if he can finally learn how to not jump like a kangaroo when he sees his dog friends. I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was young. I’d walk, feed and love on my neighbors and friends pets. I hope I will be the one you call and who you can trust with your furry BFF. Whether you have a long day at work or a weekend vacation, I’ll be there for you! I work part time on the weekends up on the mountain and have lots of time during the week to help out with your dog! I have a fenced in play area in my back yard and crates, dog beds and a designated “dog room” where your pet can relax in solitude or with Gizmo!

About: I have loved dogs since I was a kid. I mainly have experience with smaller breeds such as Maltese, Shih tzu. I also have experience with labs. I will be home daily so lots of cuddle and play time. My yard is not fenced but we do live out in the country and have a big yard. I do have 3 children one who is in school and a three year old and one year old. I am currently a stay at home mom So I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. Would rarely be away from the home more than 2 hours. I offer in home pet care we treat dogs like family they are allowed on all furniture in all rooms. Frequent supervised outside time and play time. My dog is crate trained.

About: I have been a dog and cat owner/lover/advocate my whole life. I miss having my own pets so much so I pet sit during our travels and while we are home too! I’m a massage therapist and energy worker so animals LOVE my touch and calming presence. I’m very active and love long walks. I’m totally comfortable with large dogs. I have retired early so my schedule is very flexible. I am happy to travel to pet sits. I tend to do pet sitting in Florida during the months of January and February. I love having dogs and cats in my home. There is a little river behind my house and the national forest and Sherando Lake Recreation Area is just beyond the river so there’s lots of space for long walks. Pets will get lots of loving care, tons of cuddles, and undivided attention while under my care and I will walk for as long and far as your dog (or cat) wants to.

About: I have been caring for animals for my entire life and have always adored learning about them and working with them. I will care for any kind of animal of any temperament and will provide an abundance of love, as caring for pets is very fulfilling for me and improves my mental wellbeing :) I am currently working as a vet assistant and will try to update my Rover schedule each month around my schedule at the vet. I am able to take pets into my workplace if you need me on days I work and are comfortable with that. I am extremely respectful of owners’ homes and will care for the pets exactly as I am asked to. I do not mind assertive or otherwise difficult temperament and will love them all the same. I will ensure to be constantly attentive and focused on meeting their needs and keeping them safe.
